The game we were promised is slowly getting here and that is why it's exciting. To be a part of the development process also has been the biggest gift for all of us and when the game is out fully we will look back on these days and really cherish them and realize how important they actually were!
This person gets it! Focus not on what's broken or not yet in the game, focus on the experience you can have NOW. And if now is broken, ask for help. The community thrives by helping each other out.
This patch, while still in preview, is an AMAZING step forward with the server meshing tech. The 10 servers per game shard really show with things like AI behavior. The game also feels so much more lively now with 600 player servers. Since missions aren't all working well in 4.0, i recommend sticking to sandbox gameplay over the holiday break. Exploring pyro, pvp, ect. I think you'll have a great time!
Great to see you back in the verse. 4.0 is a beautiful mess of course and they’re leaving for Xmas break so you might want to wait another month or so to give them time to come back in the new year and get it in a better state. I can’t wait to see your reactions to actually playing in Pyro, jump gates and all of the updates that came in 2024 that you don’t know about yet.
This. There has been a lot added, but with the deployment of the 4.0 update, literally everything is currently on fire. I'd give them a month of damage control before jumping back in.
Watching you react to the alpha 4.0 destination pyro video at 20:07 You: "I'm about to cry" Me: "You're crying? I've seen this so many times but I get it." You start to tear up. Me: _I start watching it more_ "Why the heck am I tearing up?????" I see what you mean now LOL. Mind you, I got my own sense of emotional reaction too when I tested for the first time. But it's been some months already and the feeling of watching others react to it may always remind someone of how they felt as well.
I would recommend to anyone that is not hard core into this game to hold off. There are some real game breaking issues with it right now that make it suck to just play if you are not interested in being part of the players willing to report issues and problems. Hope they can at least get this stable by the time they take off for Christmas break. Still overall its one of the more stable major updates. Thank you for your service!
I actually bought Star Citizen before I even had a PC that could run it-about four or five years ago! I just knew it was going to be something special. Sure, it has its bugs, but like you said, it’s about the journey, and what a journey it’s been! Watching it evolve into this stunning, deep universe has been so worth the wait. Can’t wait to see where it goes next!
Erailia!!! welcome home!! 4.0 is actually working very well for the most part!!! 500 players per shard!! 6 servers per shard!!! its running far better than alot of previous patches!!! you have to get back to the verse!! would love to see you in the stars again!! :P
I appreciate that you still have so much love for what I would say is your gateway game, the game that really got you into gaming. I hadn't seen much of SC myself before, but I follow one of the VAs for the game who still streams it from time to time, Anna Demetriou. Oddly enough I vaguely remember watching one of those streams and she had mentioned you in a shoutout. Got to checking out some of your Twitch streams and eventually followed you too. As for myself, I don't think I could narrow down one particular gateway game that got me into gaming. I had seen some of my cousins playing Atari and then NES. The Legend of Zelda had caught my eye for sure. I feel a sense of emotional nostalgia when I come across a still functional arcade, and those places were especially a hideaway for me during my teen years. I imagine if a new arcade, maybe part of a brewpub like I've seen in some circles, opened in my area I would be having a heartfelt moment not unlike your reaction to 4.0. Hopefully it will be soon that they get it all up and running for SC fans and hopefully we'll get to see you on YT or Twitch playing some. Don't worry about gamer face either; we all get that when we're enjoying a great game. 😎
I have watched several of your movie reactions and was quite surprised to see you were a player of Star Citizen. I think that with 4.0 coming out now, it would be a great idea for you to come back. Look forward to your videos!
Ahhh! I found you! I used to watch your Twitch streams because I am also a Star Citizen backer and I love the game. I haven't played in a while either because I fell back into Elite: Dangerous after all of their new updates but I have been keeping a close eye on Star Citizen and I'm looking forward to playing 4.0 once it fully goes live. I hope I get to see your new shenanigans and thank you for your service!
I'm a grown man and that clip made me tear up as well. We share with Chris the same passion and desire for this game. A truly free universe, made by gamers to gamers. Subscribed! And I'd love to watch your experience getting back to the verse.
I've been playing the 4.0 preview for a good bit now as well as prior testings; In summary, the release is everything I dream of and more. The update feels like the greatest CIG has put out with some caveats. Pros: Gone are the days of 10 being the max server FPS. I was curious as to its performance so I constantly kept rejoining the same server on an hourly basis and throughout the whole, the server FPS remained a stable 30. Everything feels that much more smooth and fluid with the added 600 playercount makes the world much more truly alive with a ton of new stuff to do. Cons: 4.0 really isn't as buggy as some make it out to be (at least to my personal experience) and nothing remotely close to 3.18 levels of down bad. The two biggest issues I see and have experienced are these: Hangar errors and the dreaded elevator boss. I imagine due to many new systems added, mainly being that of server meshing, hangars now instanced and on certain station, e.g. Checkmate, if you have an XL hangar, because there's only TWO XL hangars at the station you have to wait in queue in your instanced one if both hangars are being actively used. This causes issues with multiple people's hangars being loaded inside one another, i.e. you're trying to open your hangar door and it works but the door isn't actually opened because of another player's hangar being closed. As for the elevators, I'm sure any player of the project is already familiar with elevators disappearing, not taking you to your hangar, etc. All in all, the patch is amazing and is worth it to play right now as most of the issues can be overcome without too much effort. I think CIG seriously nailed it with 4.0 and it's a great testament to how far Star Citizen has come.
I had no idea you were a Citizen! o7 It's such an amazing game and a fantastic vision. I've been playing 4.0 on EPTU and it has been a joy. It's Live now, with the traditional jank and issues that the first few days bring, but it's also the best the game has ever been. You're in for a treat!
Hey there, eralia, hope you're fine! Nice to see the 4.0 launch touches you just as emotionally as me. Things are indeed coming together and we're part of such an awesome project, I just love it. Wish you all the best for christmas 🙂
Yes, you should - I first met you / did lots of things with you, it was through SC-stuff. I loved all of the streams that I got to play alongside you during streams, etc. I always thought that where you started was the best. ♥ We both started out running boxes! ...And, I loved being on your Connie Phoenix stream. :3 #MoistEyeballs
Can't believe it's been like 12 years since I first got involved with Star Citizen, there's been ups and downs. Glad to get your take and how you approach this game/project, we all (or at least most of us) want this to succeed. Hope to see you in the verse in the future :)
I truly do feel bad for anyone who watches an official Star Citizen RUclips video (aka sales pitch) after being gone for a year or two and has their expectations way too high for what reality is. Yes you can have fun in the game but if you expect too much you're going to be disappointed.
It's by far my favorite game I play. I don't get bothered that it's under development. I've played so many games that have been. I get why people get upset but I've never had the fun with friends that I've had like in Citizen. 4.0 has been a blast for me.
OMG, package deliveries in an Aurora...that was...not fun. I guess you learned like I did, the hard way. I'm about to give 4.0 a spin, with my Aurora. Hope to make enough to buy a Cutlass Black, probably after falling through the floor of an elevator. Good luck to ya! May bump into you in the verse! Live long and prosper eralia.
Get yourself a good ship because some High rollers waited for Pyro to come out so they finally can start blasting everyone they see. With some luck you don't have pirates or griefers on your shard.
Never seen your content before but really appreciated your take as someone who has stepped away for a bit. I backed in late 2012 just after the initial funding campaign and I'm very much emotionally invested in SC as well. I've been on three deployments during development so I relate to that too. Looking forward to seeing you in the 'verse someday. Great video.
Lovely video. I had backed in 2013 and my first “big” purchase was the Freelancer. When the hangar module came out, I would walk around the inside and sit at the controls, wondering when I would make my first jump. I was finally able to make my first jump to Pyro and I had to do it in my Freelancer. The whole experience was quite emotional. The servers are still struggling, but they’re spiraling towards the vision, so this was a treat for me to play it. PS: if you’re interested in a little indie story game, I would check out “To The Moon”. It’s a beautiful story.
Welcome back to the 'verse! Hope you're settling in ok, both IRL and on-line. It's so mixed in 4.0. Overall, everything is good... except for QT and missions. No problem, right? 🤣
The experience you had with star citizen is one i think most gamers have or had, sometimes it's not all about AAA games that feels like movies and makes you feel things, sometimes you just want to have a game you can geek out on and spend a ton of hours on it, doesn't matter if it's one of the best game ever or how popular it is, you just wanna play it because you love it, and it's one of the reason videogames are great It's often open world/sandbox like Star citizen, no man sky, minecraft, ... MMOs, maybe GTA-like games, ... where you can experience that
One of my favorite people returning to the verse! When servers are first up, they are great, AI is great, everything works pretty well... Unfortunately, the servers degrade over time despite being able to maintain decent server framerates. This means they need to do a lot of bug smashing. Definitely watch the CitizenCon crafting and base building panels.... Huge changes, including defining 1.0. Looking forward to your SC content! Oh, and the starmap is also the on foot map and has a search bar 😊
4.0 is quasi-live. Even CIG doesn't think it's ready for Live on its own! 😆 Historically CIG drops a big patch before Christmas and then goes on vacation for a month. 4.0 probably won't be decently playable for everyone until March. So right now is probably not the best time to jump back in.
DUDE I didn't even know you played Star Citizen!!!! I've watched you for about a year now and never knew! I've been a backer for years and this game is very near and dear to me. I play every day! The fact that you have history and an obvious love for this game makes me so happy! That said, I would wait a little longer before jumping back in. They released this patch right before going on holiday break and with all the new tech, it's been very rough to play. In some ways unplayable. I hate to tell you this, but I would just wait and watch different videos explaining how the patch currently is before coming back in. In PTU it was PERFECT. Near solid 30 server fps. But with so many players trying to come in, I think it's been overwhelming their database and with most of the devs on break, I don't know when they will be able to fix it. Latest is early February but for all I know it could be today or tomorrow to get it stable enough. If you do come in and experience problems, don't let that deter you. They will fix it and it will be better than this game ever was before. I've seen the improvements and they're better than I've ever seen. Once again, very happy you are a fan and I hope to see you in the verse very soon so you can experience the wonder of everything with us!
What you thought was the Scorpius early in the video was indeed the Scorpius existing from the Polaris' hangar and not the Guardian. You were correct the first time. It's nice that we have our "legally distinct enough as to not get sued" X-Wing and TIE Fighter in the game.
Crazy to see how far it's all come along ay! Come a long way from you struggling to park in the hangars at Microtech 🤣 would be great to see you stream it again on Twitch 🙌🏻
4.0 was great the moment it released. I've never seen such fantastic frame rates, and clicking on terminals had buttons respond within the milliseconds (even purchases!). I haven't had any real issues but I kept seeing complaints in global chat after a few hours so I'm guessing more people showed up and bogged the servers down. That's just your fair warning, but I've been having a blast with 4.0!
I've been looking for you for such a long time. Not you in particular but someone who truly loves the verse. This game has literally saved my life reach out if you would sometime I'd love to share with you my story
I became a citizen of Stanton a few months ago, eventally upgrading to the Starlancer. Our group actally revels in the chaos this game hilariously serves up on a regular basis. Latest example, we had an Ursa on My Starlancer's cargo deck for us to respawn, doing bunkers. Well, the Lancer blew up in an unfortunate series of events just outside of Port Tressler - ejecting the Ursa but not destroying it. So I would respawn in the Ursa, and immediately be thrown out of the side door to dirt nap, respawn back into the Ursa, to fly right back into the void. For some reason I couldn't get the screen on the med bed to work right. I still laugh thinking about it.
Damn, I've never been interested in Star Citizen . . . but seeing the tears, awe, joy, and emotion in your face makes me want to rush out, buy a HOTAS, and give it a try! 🤣
I’ve been playing for about two years, and can say without reservation that SC is the most phenomenal game I’ve ever played. In that time I’ve seen quite a few technologies and features come online, and it has honestly felt like the development has been quite steady. I’ve been playing in Pyro for about a week now, and having server performance consistently above 20fps, and everything just working has filled me with so much excitement for the r future of the project. I have been able to reliably complete contracts without issues, and earn aEUC quickly, all while marvelling at the beauty of what CIG have created. In the last 24hrs things have started to break, but I have utmost confidence that this is the start of the game being reliable and performing well, and I hope that without the game breaking bugs, I can convince more of my friends to jump into this incredible universe with me.
I am an old guy that was strangely always into gaming news and events, but never could get into actually playing. I just didn't have the patience to get over the initial learning curve. For some reason, Star Citizen was so interesting to me, that I knuckled down and learned the basics and now play several times a week. Really want to get my hands on a set of sticks and an eye tracker, to take it to the next level.
I'm pretty new to this game, only started playing a few weeks ago thanks to the Free Fly event, but I've been having a blast so far. I went in fully expecting there to be loads of bugs, which there have been, but I wasn't expecting to find such a helpful and friendly community within the game as well. I spent nearly a year watching various videos about this game and missing out on Free Fly events due to being out of town, and the only player interaction I ever saw was pirating and pvp so I was worried that's all I'd find. Instead I found two separate small crews of folks I gel with really well, and I'm spoiled with choice on who to play with anytime I log on less than a month into playing!
I was a follower from your rdr2 days. To my surprise youre a backer as well. Very cool! I also get sad whenever I actually see the devs get excited with a feature but it turns out to be a buggy mess. I am really hoping for this game to prosper.
OMG this SC lore!! I love this dang game and i hope you do events in the future, that sounds sick and would looooveee to join!! (Found you in the TLOU era) Either way, i def hope you jump back in for a bit and we get to tag along! :)
Invitation citizen it’s never the destination that counts, because that is always years ahead. But I look forward to what kinds of expected and unexpected stuff will be added next year!
What works in the 4.0 preview works so much better than it ever has. It's still not "a real game", per-se. But it's still gorgeous, and seeing the NPCs and AI piloted ships moving like they should? It's huge.
It's been pretty enjoyable lately. The addition of the Polaris is really fun for crew manned ships. It's still buggy AF but its much better than it was in the past. I am also glad to hear there is a fellow Herald stan other than me.
I remember playing with you one time, a group got together on a 890 jump, everyone saved their spawn to the medbay on the ship. There were two teams that were just going all out on each other. Having to grab guns off all the bodies littering the deck of the ship. Fun times! If you haven't seen it yet I'd love to watch you react to this year's citizencon, or at least the hour and fifteen minute long Squadron 42 gameplay demo. P.S. Hotas better than duel sticks... :P
After Christmas I think it'll be in pretty good shape. Missions are kinda buggy rn but I still have a fine time rolling around Bloom in my dragonfly and looting hostile towns
You were one of the first people who set an example for me of what the SC community can and should be, and I'm 100% ready to help welcome you back into the game! There's a LOT to catch up on... but the two biggest ticket items are these: ruclips.net/video/WkMD3ZfDZus/видео.html ...and: ruclips.net/video/1H-0x4xk2Xk/видео.html The holiday patch is a little messy, but server meshing works and we've all been hammering on it all year. There's a lot of really great things to see, right now. THE QUEEN OF KLESCHER IS BACK! Can Pyro handle it?
It slowly comes together. But it will also take some time to be really really playable i think - another 2-3 years. (before SQ 42 will become out i think). But they implement so such of an amazing game ... ... did you watched the "Genesis"-panel of the CiticenCon - or the part about base building and crafting (which is really importend, i think)? And thanks for the video! 🙂
Should you play again... Definitely not now. They're calling it "4.0 Preview" because they had to give us something but it wasn't really ready. There's been very little progress in the past couple years and 2024 made the game worse overall, with exception of "Red Stanton" aka Pyro but it's very buggy and only a few mission types are in. Though it is fun just to fly around and look at the new planets a little. Do a little low-flying...
Join us! I adore Star Citizen-- it is deeply imperfect, but mainly because it's in progress. Even in its current form, I'd rather play it than other games and Ive had experiences in it that are not able to be replicated elsewhere. And 4.0 is a step and in the right direction. Also the game is best experienced with a group of ppl-- do it will an org or with some friends and check out Citizen Kate, Berks, Space Tomato, and Bed Bananas to see what it has to offer o7
Yes, you should come back! The game has never felt this good! Sure, there are still plenty of annoying bugs, but the server stability is fantastic and I've played for two days straight now without a single crash.
And yes, you should definitely bring out your Tobii! It lifts the game immersion so much! The facial expression tracking is only with webcam, that you don't need. But the Tobii is so good!
I'm many players have SC at heart and I certainly get it for many people to be emotional to it. I applaud the aesthetics of SC mainly in the graphic department, however, I sincerely hope many of players do not succumb to purchasing ships that're worth hundreds of real hard earned dollars because I believe it's pretty clear that CIG is banking into focusing on selling ships whilst providing new working functionalities especially in the last couple of years at the very least. Also want to point out that it's pretty sly move for CIG to rid off the old spawn process that have players take shuttle from say New Babbage into spawning in hangars the fact that it's created illusion that the player experience has been improved by reducing the frustrations of getting stuck in train, elevator and whatnot just to be able to make it to their respective hangars. In summary, I sincerely hope you guys realize that there's not many advancement/improvement made by CIG to SC other than little changes here and there whilst they aggressively promoting ship sales. Let's not mention the single player game SQ42 that is now pushed back to 2026, which is beyond ridiculous right now.
Most games everything is handcrafted in the enviroments and set in stone so every player sees the wame things. The nature of SC is that they cant do the same so they built the engine in a way that they could occur naturally. pyro has so many new vistas to discover and with the dynamic clouds i find myself pausing constantly to take it in. Cant wait to see you experience the new stuff. Hit up Buster for tips on the new character creator she's a wizard.
The game we were promised is slowly getting here and that is why it's exciting. To be a part of the development process also has been the biggest gift for all of us and when the game is out fully we will look back on these days and really cherish them and realize how important they actually were!

Took a break myself waiting for 4.0. Here's to hoping it lives up to the hype! 🍻
We'd love to have you back! Let them patch 4.0 preview a bit next week first though.
You'll have to wait at least 3 weeks.

The experience you had with star citizen is one i think most gamers have or had, sometimes it's not all about AAA games that feels like movies and makes you feel things, sometimes you just want to have a game you can geek out on and spend a ton of hours on it, doesn't matter if it's one of the best game ever or how popular it is, you just wanna play it because you love it, and it's one of the reason videogames are great
It's often open world/sandbox like Star citizen, no man sky, minecraft, ...
Welcome back! You’re going to love Pyro.
Awesome positive video. I share the same when it comes to this game. It is a journey with so much to offer. I hope to see you in the verse. o7! -LT
This.
I take it back, actually. They ended up fixing it tonight! Everything works soooo much better now!
A lot has changed! You're going to love exploring Pyro 😊
They do indeed have ponytails - character creator has gotten a *ton* better.
Journey Before Destination!
Damn, I've never been interested in Star Citizen . . . but seeing the tears, awe, joy, and emotion in your face makes me want to rush out, buy a HOTAS, and give it a try! 🤣
So cool! I also backed Star Citizen! I'd be happy to join your org!
In the last 24hrs things have started to break, but I have utmost confidence that this is the start of the game being reliable and performing well, and I hope that without the game breaking bugs, I can convince more of my friends to jump into this incredible universe with me.
here's for some Big Benny's Yes please go back to SC, would love to watch that!
YEAASSSS ABSOLUTELY!!!! IVE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU TO ASK
Thanks so much for this. Hoping to EVA with you again, been too long. See you in Pyro Eralia!
I need to play star citizen at all! Now that I think about it, I think I found your channel that way. The call of duty thing cracked me up.
Awe shiiiiete, queen of khlesher thinking of returning…
Just logged 3 years of playing hope you come back.
Oh wow this popped up much sooner than I expected 😮🎉
Yes. See you in the verse.
OMG this SC lore!! I love this dang game and i hope you do events in the future, that sounds sick and would looooveee to join!! (Found you in the TLOU era) Either way, i def hope you jump back in for a bit and we get to tag along! :)
Great reactions... would love to see your reaction to 1) the Squadron 42 gameplay trailer, and 2) the 1.0 road map from citcon this year.
The bugs are there, but the server meshing makes the verse feel alive.
I forgot how long its been since you played last. Time for the return of the Queen of Klescher™
Welcome home, in more ways than one :)
Invitation citizen it’s never the destination that counts, because that is always years ahead. But I look forward to what kinds of expected and unexpected stuff will be added next year!
oOH shid... was not expecting this :O
What works in the 4.0 preview works so much better than it ever has. It's still not "a real game", per-se. But it's still gorgeous, and seeing the NPCs and AI piloted ships moving like they should? It's huge.
Yes please! We miss you! Pyro is so cool!
I'd love to see you play it because I don't have the time to play it myself. It looks awesome.
welcome back!
Welcome back to the community again, you will love 2025..
So mush new awesomeness and some new bugs messing with os making things more tense...
Love it! If you haven't watch the Squadron 42 live video i think that would be a good reaction!
It's amazing from a technical standpoint. It's also full of game breaking bugs.
You should always come back to Star Citizen.
Star Citizen is Love ❤️
After Christmas I think it'll be in pretty good shape. Missions are kinda buggy rn but I still have a fine time rolling around Bloom in my dragonfly and looting hostile towns
When you say you are keeping an eye on the verse, would you say that eye was a little moist?
Also, if you haven't yet, you should check out some of the CitizenCon videos from the event in October. Some impressive stuff coming.
The thing in the beginning is the quantum tunnel you have to go through to transfer from the regular universe to Pyro. Play, it, again... :P
The answer is yes, you should definitely come back to Star Citizen. We miss you.
You need to watch SQ42 gameplay reveal from October! Get popcorn, its quite cinematic
It works and its amazing, try it, its live now mostly
you are too cute love your eyes, glasses and nails. I just tried 4.0 and I was surprised. They actually did it. Server meshing is here
Thank you for your service...
You were one of the first people who set an example for me of what the SC community can and should be, and I'm 100% ready to help welcome you back into the game! There's a LOT to catch up on... but the two biggest ticket items are these:

...and:
ruclips.net/video/1H-0x4xk2Xk/видео.html
The holiday patch is a little messy, but server meshing works and we've all been hammering on it all year.
Stop being so cool goddammit...
Klescher misses their Queen.
Also on a side note, the eyeballs are extra moist with the new character creation LOL!
Please please post your initial return to the verse on RUclips!!!❤❤❤
I've been waiting for the Queen of Klescher to return.
The new map still isn't great. In some ways I find it even worse, but at least we have a search function now, which is a big help.
Don’t forget Luminalia gifts on the RSI website!
LESGO!!
Hit up Buster for tips on the new character creator she's a wizard.
i started crying when you did, for all the same reasons! go play it :D but still, expect some bugs, all be it that they are less annoying.
The Carrack can be a Miraj fighter carrier with a spawn point.
Ralia is backkk!
