Love this interview, Rachel is incredible so poised and also so natural. Friends of mine in the modelling industry said she was the hardest working person in the industry in New Zealand the whole time she worked, nothing was too small she turned up on time ready to work for farmers catalogues to runway work and always really friendly and down to earth. Her kids are a credit to her and their father. I saw her and her sister in Ponsonby one day they came into one of the cafes on Jervois Rd she sat down the kids were outside in their teens and other kids were talking to them asking for autographs and photos and they were so sweet. Seriously proud of her remaining so authentic.
This interview was quite revealing. Shes really deep but playful and comes across as very genuine. I can see why she was so successful. Its not just her looks but her inner beauty
The old walk of fame at Victoria park markets. That brings back memories. I recall my bro & I saw Rachel & I think her boyfriend on Queen Street during her tip topics cream days & we were thinking she was a bit of a snobby princess. How wrong were we! She’s so down to earth & still beautiful to this day. Great interview Dom!
I've seen Rachel's photo on the front of an old paperback (Mills & Boon?) also on Knitting pattern pamphlets. This is a good honest interview. The only thing which bugged me throughout was Rachel using the 'fill in' word LIKE...did anyone else notice it? Still very entertaining!
Hi Rachael I lived in Glenfield too. You weren't geeky at school, i was your cooking partner briefly at Home Economics. I remember you hung out with a girl called Jane? 🤔 Anyway great interview! Cheers 😊😊
No I’m sure she wasn’t geeky at all. I also remember seeing her around Akl in the mid 80’s one time at a nightclub where every man in the club just googled at her and another time up north during the Kiwi summer break she was staying with friends and was a standout you definitely noticed her but I don’t remember her being particularly shy. This was before she really hit the big time and became a household name. Good on her she’s lived a full and amazing life and has been given some great opportunities.
Dom Harvey Rachel boring me as this spiritually feelings that we are all born with i feel she's nothing different to most people with hidden issues my meaning is she talks the experiencing of finding herself and that's because she has hidden issues like remember gorgeous handsome Elvis Presley he too was never quite contented with his life that often he would open a bible of many beliefs like he would query why he was born for what reason? and i find it's so normal and common that people have issues of trying to find contentment i get bored with these people as my view just enjoy life go out to nature eat healthy have a glass of wine have a massage enjoy our beaches walk if you can near the sea fresh air and go meet up with a group of like minded people that think simple enjoy your children and grandchildren don' worry why are you here on this earth for life is too short just enjoy where ever you are.
@@dominicharvey-fo5pb I just started watching your interview with my last comment. I loved the honesty of this interview. I'm not famous, but I know you could do a three hour interview of my life and it would still have another three hours left. I'm the same age as Rachel, and she has kinda inspired me to write my own life story. I know it will be rather unique. And I ran three marathons and maybe 100 half marathons
Toxic plasmolysis is a fascinating parasite that breeds in the gut of a cat but lives in the brain of a rat and makes it docile so the cat eats the rat to be able to breed in the stomach of the cat, hence the stereotype of the mad cat lady…

That’s how lovely she is…she didn’t want to embarrass me! Instead, I was even more embarrassed when I found out afterwards haha

It's OK being yourself unless you oppose vax and lockdown mandates.
Do you mean Rachel does?
Don't be an ignorant git
What a BORING interview...just a jumble of nothing
Ha, I found the opposite. I expected a standard linear interview, but I found it far more entertaining because they jumped all over the place.
