- Is this the first video killing an end game boss at level 1 in mission mode? hahaha This video is just a preview. More of these are on the oven (I'm waiting for the HD textures to release)...
Seriously, you already do chip damage with good stats in mission mode, level 1 makes things even worse. However, critical hits are very busted in this game. Critical Sun, Perfect Block and Block-Counter are the mandatory skills whenever you want to try this challenge. If you have Critical Boost, every block-counter will be a guaranteed critical hit. This will be our main resource of damage.
Why using Axel? He's getting his revenge on Säix for everything he did to Xion and Roxas. Also, the redhead has good iframes whenever he counter attacks.
Is good to point out that fire-boy has fast attacks and his finishers are pretty strong. Some Mission Mode characters, although having big attack stats, can't make good damage with a finisher. Marluxia is a very good example. Why that? I dunno. Zexion has bad strength build, but with Pandora's gear finisher he can deal as much damage as Säix's finisher. Keep in mind that Säix is the best character in this game lol
I even tried to use the Extreme Ring, but Limit Break is useless at level 1. They deal even less damage than our normal finishers.
I'm very happy with the result of this video. 2 months ago I thought level 1 at mission mode was pretty much impossible.
I already have two other videos defeat two other Heartless bosses at level 1. I'll try to kill all bosses (except Ruler of the Sky) with different characters and compile in just one video.
Dang u really got it memorized XD
Man, this is impressive! Lv. 1, *and* Mission Mode? (And under ten minutes, lol) Nice work!
Definitely taking notes on this one for when I get to him. I somehow never realized Block-Counter had i-frames, for example, so I was expecting to have to spend a lot of the fight on the defensive. That speeds things up immensely, though!
Actually it is the sum of abilities of block-counter+perfect block. Normal block doesn't guarantee a quick response like a did in the video. And yeah level 1 in mission mode is possible.
I'm having a lot of fun being the first person on RUclips to actually try such things haha
Damnnn level 1 respect.
Block-Counter for the win haha
Sai'x: Axel, where's my munny?! You are not leaving this place until you paid me back for all the ice cream you bought!
Xemnas: What the hell is going on down-....I don't have time for this. I'm going to my private room!
Xemnas probably went there to take some popcorn and return to watch haha
I wonder if there will ever be a mod or patch that re-balances singleplayer mission mode
I don't think mission mode needs a rebalance, but some characters certainly do.
Vexen, Donald, Goofy, Demix and other characters have slow, weak and unpractical combos when compared to Sora, Säix, Roxas, Axel and others. For some reason some characters do less damage, even if you boost their strength stats.
@@aloha6221 Really? As far as I remember, all the enemies in Mission Mode are set up to be bullet sponges because it was designed to be played by 2-4 players.
For now, what I do is use character codes to play as other characters in Story Mode (manually turning them on/off when needed to avoid crashing the game).
imo the difference in damage dealt between hacked character Story Mode missions and their vanilla 1P Mission Mode counterparts is just baffling. You can see it without needing any hacks by playing as Roxas in mission mode. See how many hits it takes to down a single enemy in 1p mission mode and compare that to story mode. Its ridiculous!
@@e.e.mccutcheon979 I just play mission mode after completing the game. You're not supposed to play it underleveled lol What I'm doing here is nuts, but someone needs to try right?
@@aloha6221 ye, fighting the game's version of overpowered bosses at level 1 IS an achievement, but what I meant was since we've already got Melon Mix making the game playable on PC, I'm surprised we don't have some way to make singleplayer Mission Mode actually playable as soon as its literally available to the average player
some people like you or me are used to just equipping maximum level and ability panels in order to do Story Mode level 10 damage to enemies and we're used to preparing panels like that, but its not... good, despite how much I like it
Its like when a horror game has intentionally bad tank controls
Some people like the controls and get used to it, but the tank controls of "example horror game" still suck. They're often designed to be uncomfortable because it makes the player feel vulnerable without having to show the character itself acting scared or complaining in a cutscene or whatever.
We fans like mission mode and we're used to it, but its not properly balanced for singleplayer. This is because mission mode was designed to be played with more than one player at a time. The point prizes even drop in singleplayer despite not having other players to compete with, or having any external use for the points like turning them into munny or exp or anything
