    Finding this channel is gold. Coming from UA to GA4 is confusing, with so many ways of doing things. It's great to have this single resource to get back up to speed.

    In this tutorial, Matt Landers explains how to mark events as conversions in Google Analytics. Conversions are specific events that are critical to your business, like purchases or newsletter signups, and can be assigned monetary value. By marking an event as a conversion, Google Analytics will track and report these events separately, helping to analyze their impact and effectiveness. Landers demonstrates the process of marking a "newsletter sign-up" event as a conversion in GA4, noting that it only applies to future events, not past ones. He highlights the importance of tracking conversions for better insights into marketing performance and future audience building.

    Wow, I have spent years with UA and have been busy this last year converting all my customers to GA4. Busy means I had little or no time to explore but this is powerful. What used to take me most of a day can be done quickly. This is a cool integration between Analytics and GTM, Love it, and the videos help my customers understand the complexity a bit better.

    I'm so frustrated. Same instructions everywhere, just toggle the switch. But on my end, everything shows up as a "click" or a "pageview" Not every click and pageview is a conversion, so toggling that as a conversion won't work.

    That's awesome, but now how do i see which browsers the people that have converted come from?
    All this system does is seem to show "users"
    Right now I just want the reports to focus on people that have completed the conversion action /event of form sign up. I have added that as event and milestone event
    But struggling to get any kind of report that shows me about the demographic/technology/browser of the users that triggered the conversions..

    GA I want to choose the completed forms as a conversion for my site and I have as suggested events the "generate lead" and the "submitted" more than the two should I put it as a conversion both for analytics and google ads??
    Also when you select the conversions on the meta page they show what you showed "no available data" when it is not true. what should we do there?

    What is the best way to set up a ClickToCall event/conversion? I manage 22 GA4 accounts and in a few cases the C2C event metric appeared by default (that's my assumption b/c I know I didn't set it up). This is a highly important metric for us, as is submit_form, which also appears by default in some accounts but not all.

      You will need to create an event that triggers on the page where you want to measure the conversion and then mark that event as a conversion. We have more information in this article: support.google.com/analytics/answer/12966437.

    This new format of video tutorial for the GA4 (and hopefully, in the near future, for other G-Marketing producst) is WAYYYYY better and MILES ahead of which you guys had before. *Nothing against the professionals, the format looked SOooo outdate. **This one is way more modern (similar to apple product captures and tools of learning centers such as Loom).

      more importantly, its the instructors teaching style. Short, sweet. to the point, non-nerdy(jargon free). Leaves nothing more to desire really.

    Hi. How do I track my eCommerce data? I have tried setting up data layer variable for view_item, view_item_list, add_to_cart, and purchase. But upon viewing the eCommerce purchase report, it shows no data available. Please help. I want to be able to track number of add to cart, purchase, cart abandonment rate, cart conversion rate etc.

    Followed the series, but my event doesn't show on the list to mark as a conversion.
    All I have there is:
    first_visit, page_view, session_start
    Do I have to wait a few hours? Or maybe have the event triggered a few times so that it shows there? 🤔
    [UPDATE]
    It showed on the next day

    • @GoogleAnalytics
      @GoogleAnalytics  Год назад +1

      Good question! Yes, you can either wait for it to be triggered and it'll appear in the conversions table (as you experienced), or for next time: you can click "New conversion event" and enter the exact name of the recently-created event.

  • @brunoalc5422
    @brunoalc5422 Год назад

    GA should absolutely retroactively set event as conversion when you mark as so. It's annoying to have to wait the event be recognized by GA first to then be able to set it as conversion.

    • @GoogleAnalytics
      @GoogleAnalytics  Год назад +1

      Waiting is not required - you can save an event (even a new custom event) as a conversion right away. Here's how: ruclips.net/video/6b1elt312yU/видео.html
