Just found ur channel and binge watching. I found it interesting that u referenced parkway to Killswitch (aka the riffy band I did the other day).... cause the producer of parkways first album was the guitarist from Killswitch engaged. If u haven’t already.., I highly recommend checking out parkway drives documentaries on RUclips. It’s absolutely amazing to see how far they’ve came....from a bunch of surfers, starting a band, going international with no money....to superstars. Keep up the great videos!!!
I keep saying I'm gonna get to get around to it, but I wanna make sure I've reacted to all of the best material before I start deep diving on my own, I'd hate to spoil a good reaction. Having said that I keep going down rabbit holes and finding different bands, so I keep moving further away. I'll revisit Parkway soon though. I really wanna watch Viva la Underdogs.
It felt more like I expected Parkway to sound. My first ever reaction video was Vice Grip, I wasn't sure I had picked the right band. Good song! But not at all what I had expected Parkway to sound like. 😆
One thing I find amazing about Parkwy Drive albums is the way one song continues to another. If you listen to the albums "Killing With a Smile" and "Horizons" you will get an idea of what that's like. And they also do that on the Albums "Deep Blue" and "Atlas". It's amazing. The end of one song is the introduction of another hahaha you have to see this.
That's crazy! I haven't had a chance to experience that because I have been cherry picking tracks. I would love to dive in and just punish albums, but I don't want to spoil an opportunity for a future first reaction video. Eventually I will have gotten through a bunch of their catalogue and it won't matter anymore. At that point I can just enjoy their music. That's been the weirdest part of this whole thing. I mean have you ever gotten into a band and had to stop yourself from exploring all their work? Haha.

Interesting how you see that. I love all of PWD's songs, but honestly I found it kinda "boring" that most of the songs sound pretty similar in their first albums, even though they are amazing
@@PrymalChaos for sure.. you'll be comfortable to the genre(metalcore) soon. Their first 2 albums are pure metalcore classic then the next 2 albums follows had a mixture of other sub-genres.. and finally the last 2 albums were kinda hard rock with a bit mainstream rock but still has few guitar solo & breakdowns...
I mean, I could point to the literally hundreds of comments in my channel that appreciate and value my insight, and are happy that I don’t just nod my head and say “that’s dope”, but maybe you’re right. Maybe sometimes it better not to say things.
