EFF leader denies struggle song incites violence: Julius Malema

- EFF Leader, Julius Malema, has defended the struggle song 'Dubula iBhunu' or 'Kill the Boer', accusing AfriForum of wasting the court's time, and of being racist. Malema was testifying in the South Gauteng High Court where AfriForum applied to have the song declared hate speech.
The organisation argues that it incites violence, and contributes to farm attacks.
Malema told the court that the song must not be taken literally, and that context is very important.

I don't know if this was broadcast live but one thing that amazes me about the media the WORLD over is that they send a camera crew to cover a news story or press conference which is say, 1 hour long but they Always show ONLY Short snippets which ammount to less than a quarter of the actual event in question. On top of that instead of letting us hear what the person said for themselves, a journalist narrates what THEY said even though they did so right in front of the Camera! I find that odd and questionable. Maybe the media is indeed biased after all

Let's just say even this was a song used in the armed struggle era, it is no longer advisable and politically correct to use in these post liberation era. I did not hear "kiss the Boer" in that song. We need unity not anything that will reasonably be viewed as incitement to violence. Leaders must accept that some of their followers can follow them blindly and do the unthinkable. As it happened n the US when people stormed Capitol Hill. Responsible leadership understands this things but then we are in South Africa. Where different rules apply to different folks.
