We recorded this song for the MLT Club a couple of months ago and are now thrilled to upload it to our official RUclips channel for everyone to watch. It was filmed in our Duo Session corner ... two guitars, two vocals and a bit of foot tapping. Sometimes that's all you need!

Using one guitar to cover both the prominent bass line and the slide guitar is just brilliant. These "duo sessions" are amazing for how much these two get out of two voices and whatever instruments they can hold in their hands, hang from their necks, or strap to their feet.
They deserve so much more exposure/recognition but they ain't English or American so MSM doesn't give a hoot.
One of the many benefits of a MonaLisa Twins cover is that the clarity of their voices, even when singing together, allows one to hear all the words. For decades I thought the line was, "Well I'm wondering why I can't eat tonight," which of course is just dumb. Now I can die happy without the weight of that misinterpretation on my soul.
Mona's superb lead vocals and Lisa's awesome fingerpicking on her Telecaster...fantastic!!!
Mona's got a sort of laconic delivery in this song that really fits the "tired of it all" lyrics.

Another gem from the Mona Lisa twins! 2 guitars two voices and you get an awesome cover from 1972. Their talent is off the charts and rock with the best! Just love this song . The rhythm playing is awesome Mona and Lisa tears it up with the guitar lead and riffs also she is covering the bass lines for this song. Gerry Rafferty is smiling! Thank you both and stay groovy!

great song , well done .... ah the 70's , such memories .... I'd go back in a heartbeat , I don't care if phones had cords on them , life was way better back then .... you always dealt with people , now it's all machines ..... There was no "press 2 for this , press 3 for that , please hold and wait for an hour while our two operators take 2,000 calls a day" .... It was a more "people oriented time"

Ever since I joined the club I keep forgetting what has been released on RUclips. I've been listening to this one lately. I love their choice on who sings lead in each song. They pick the right one everytime and I don't see a classic Fender that much. I love this song. I love their lives and their very intimate Duos. Got my next surgery in a week or so. This is Wonderful! I remember when it came out in about 1973. The song got a lot of airplay where I lived in the Midwest. The lyrics flow so seamlessly. This version took me back to a simpler carefree time.
