Hopefully late war British vehicles, Cromwell’s, other versions of the Churchill , ect. The British and their Commonwealth are severely underrepresented in late game.
On the topic of post war content. I am personally a WW2 history nerd. I like WW2 themed games primarily. One of the things that ruined War thunder for me was queuing up in my WW2 lineup and being paired up against a bunch of cold war stuff. Nothing ruins the wibe more than rolling out your T-34-85 or Tiger 1, only to get insta sniped across the map by a 1970's tank with laser range finders that shoots guided missiles. IF they add post war stuff to the game in any great amount and don't put in a hard barrier where you will never have to fight it with your WW2 stuff, I will quit the game. Simple as.
Yeah I hate those atgms and heatfs throwers. If I'm going to be matched against that bs in enlisted im quitting just like I did with wt. I'm fine with WW2 guns being used during vietnam-cold war but not vehicles
Yep. Me too. If they add stuff, either ww1 or post ww2, I do hope they make it always historically accurate. Everything fights the period accurate, none of War Thunder BS of having post-war stuff fighting along with ww2 stuff.
personally, I believe instead of going forward with the techtree, the could be some potential for it going BACKWARDS and giving us ww1 with maps like verdun, the rhine, the russian empire and the ottoman empire edit: can you imagine calling toxic gas with the radio?
Also one more thing I’m against Cold War because we have modders and also while it’s true one day the ww2 tech trees will be full people forget that ww2 is a world war and there are 100s of battles and theaters to add to enlisted to make it a complete and true ww2 experience. Also just floating the idea: why are small factions bad? I’m sure there a players out there who would love to play as France or china and yes while they don’t compare to the big 3 that’s ok, look at Japan. Think of how much it would stimulate the community if the devs added china for our Chinese players so they don’t have to play as either their enemy or Europe
@@ryanmichael74 Small faction tech trees that stick to just a couple BR's would work. They could also make it that different factions can load into the same team eg; US and great Britain vs Italy and Germany in an Italian campaign
tbh personally I want British and Italy as their own faction as the British don't get presented as they should as they should add things like the Cromwell(s) or Churchills e.t.c and roughly the same idea for Italy and then we get extra content and more maps with this e.g arnham (can spawn at a glider crash which did kinda happen irl) for the British for Italy you could do Sicily and the Italian campaign
I'd wish that enlisted adds the two "minor" nations that it already has, Italy, and the UK, you can reuse certain assets ofc, as well as adding unique tanks and vehicles into the mix
Plus, if lonefighters or custom matches are any indication, you could probably bunch up like, 5US 5UK vs 5GER 5ITA in a match, different tech trees but, being still allies vs axis
To a certain extend they can already do this. If they make Italy and UK/Commonwealth into their own nations, they can simply change the tags for some battles. Making Normandy US/Commonwealth VS Germany, while Tunisia will be US/Commonwealth vs Germany/Italy, and Pacific can stay US vs Japan.
The Italian front would make the most sense in my opinion. From landings in Sicily and Anizo to the drive north to Rome, there is a variety of options. The tech tree can be adj ; ie garand at br 2 , adding a good br2 german airborne unit etc. This campaign would be multi - national, and could offer creative maps ( fighting in the ruins of Monte Cassino). We don't need new weapons but better squads.
I don't feel this works as 2 of the factions literally cease to exist after WWII. You can't just springboard japan players into north korean or vietcong forces. Wehrmacht would take years to really get going again as the modern german army or would be folded under western allies and soviets. What you're suggesting would literally be better served as an entirely new game with the same guts over being connected in any way, as only really allies and soviets have any sort of continuity for their tech trees to run off of. A lot of the playerbase also expresses disinterest in the spam of automatic weapons and heavy HE, air strikes, etc and don't even play higher tiers, and those issues won't be solved by dropping bigger and badder chopper launched rockets, m16s, AK 47s etc.
Late Enlisted will have to be an exploration of ahistory, focusing on multiple different 'Cold War Gone Hot' scenarios - at different pressure points in the mid to late 20th century. But i cannot tell you when that jumping point would be met, only that we *should* jump, when we find it. Because the entertainment value it would provide would be virtually limitless.
One of the smartest ideas that I have ever heard. No game ever does that, unless it's a strategy game or something similar. Historical battles are cool, but Alternate History would be one of the best additions imo.
I meen, cold war is full of battles, i think the main problem is that how are you gonna continue say the german tree, since they got split into east and west and didnt fight? Also, how do you make usa fight in vietnam or korea, when there is no vietcong or north koreans? Do they fight soviets? Do the soviets get auto equipted with vietcong skins in vietnam? Or do the vietnamese get there own tech tree that starts and ends in vietnam war... i think that is the main issue of making realistic cold war battles, since a lot of the wars involved countries not in enlisted
I always love alt history games. One of my favorite additions to the tabletop game Bolt Action was rules for a german land invasion of Britain. I would love to see something like this come at some point in the future of Enlisted if it is done right. And if they go beyond WW2, a game like Team Yankee is a good starting point of how they could do it, which goes along the lines of late 20th century WW3.
Another thing that would be really interesting to add in the game would be the Italian campaign in Greece, were they could add more things to the Italians and create a tech tree which would be somewhat of a mix between Greek and British/Commonwealth troops and equipment ( Which they would be more early war period)
Enlisted's smaller playerbase hamstrings the game in some awful ways, especially with matchmaking. If the game had a bigger playerbase, they could separate each BR into its own queue, or at least more limited ones, but without enough players they have to deal with uprating. Players need to remember everytime they fight lower tier players, they're also making those players' experience of the game miserable. But if they did right now, the game's playerbase would be split too much, effectively recreating the problems caused by campaigns. BR1-2 isn't that huge of a discrepancy (once squads are fitted out), but BR2-3 is with the BR3 players getting rifle grenades, flamethrowers, and also significantly more powerful tanks. Then of course there's BR4-5 which makes BR4 equipment feel practically unusable. I think BR1-2 should be its own queue in matchmaking, straight up. BR3-4, same thing with matchmaking. And then BR5 just plays with themselves (or with a theoretical BR6). I mean, honestly once you hit BR5 can you even call it a WW2 game anymore when most of the weapons on the battlefield were extremely rare or never saw any actual use in the war? Also, new players should have it spelled out to them explicitly that their first couple of games are mostly going to be against bots so they can get used to the game, because now many of them see the bots and assume the game is dead. The "live-service" model for something like a WW2 game just doesn't work for the reason you outlined, there's only a finite amount of things you could reasonably add. Japan is basically already out of stuff, every nation's tech tree ends with extremely limited, uncommon, or practically paper-only weapons. DF has also painted themselves into a corner since their options for what to add are limited since they reserve a lot of interesting weapons and vehicles to be premium content. Like instead of a 2nd TT APC squad, no, they had to go and make the actual famous APCs in the game all premium squads. When it comes to the power of HE, it really does need to be toned down. My friend hates this game because it seems like every time we play together, instead of an intense match, we just get uptiered and fight against people spamming HE, bombs, and grenades everywhere. One of the most damning things is something a tank player said, that playing as infantry sucks. He said this for a game where playing as infantry is the core focus, and that's not good. Tanks and planes need to be more limited, people shoudn't be able to have 4 vehicle squads and just cycle endlessly between them just because they gave daddy Gaijin $40 for their explosive dopamine hit when they lob an HE shell into an objective from the gray zone. The game has always needed to do more to not allow certain types of players to make the game feel like an unplayable hell. A WW2 game shouldn't actually devolve into feeling like your gun is worthless and all that really matters on the battlefield are the huge explosions everywhere, and that's been one of DF's biggest failures with this game for the entire time its been out. It's a big problem when a lot of people literally don't want to upgrade their gear because it'll force them to play at higher BRs where they have to deal with absolutely cancerous gameplay.
What makes higher BR cancerous is the players skills, they know how to place explosive and bullets and if you don’t know how to counter that you are doomed. The issue is in low BR there is always a solution to the situation you are presented at high BR you could be sandwiched between a tiger, semi auto snipers, artillery and all operated by experienced people and there is nothing to do
WW2 weapons work for a Vietnam campaign, since the Vietnamese were still using plenty of WW2 gear (French, Soviet, German, and Japanese weapons). The Vietnamese could have the largest small arms weapon pool of any faction in Enlisted and the amount of premium Vietnamese squads Darkflow could sell is pretty nuts (Premium Vietnamese FG42 squad because yes the Soviets sent the Vietnamese a small supply of captured FG42s). Plus the US still used some WW2 guns early on (M2 Carbines, Grease Guns, Thompson's, BARs, Reisings, etc)
I’m at a point where I just want to see improved squad functionality and map packs . Anything would just be recycled content like you said . But if they move onto Korea or something it would justify all the experimentals we been getting as of late
Counterpoint on the Manchurian campaign, it lasted for less than a week before Japan surrendered. There's barely any content to add. I could understand Khalkin Gol for BR 1 and 2 Japan Vs Soviets, though. Personally I think Italy and Germany need to be made seperate factions, with maps in Italy. Italy being paired with Germany in Tunisia, Moscow, and Stalingrad, but being able to be paired with both the Allies and Axis in the Italian maps. And the same needs to happen with the British and the Commonwealth and the US. Stuff needs to be seperate.
I would love to see low br khalkin gol and high br Manchuria. I agree that there should be subtrees, to do so, all squads and equipment get designated by nation. Let's say France is added, if you'reallied lineup has American things it cant spawn in france map. But if all equip is brit then it can, like a Cromwell is only brit, but a Thompson is designated both American and brit cuz both used it.
While I'd love to see Manchuria represented since it's an underexplored theater, I just can't see Japan br V being able to compete with Soviet br V without inventing a bunch of guns, tanks and planes that exist less than the prototypes and one offs we have there now
They could do the invasion of Sakhalin as well though, which was a couple of weeks of fighting with thousands of casualties on both sides, fighting amongst terrain reminiscent of the Pacific North West. Would also make for a good late game map imo
I think you're right that the game is running out of content to add when it comes to WW2 but that is for weapons and vehicles while with campaigns they still have LOTS and I mean LOTS of maps they could add (maps set in battles on Poland, South East Asia, China with Shanghai or Hong Kong , Finland, Italy and so many more maps they could add) but when it comes to guns not only there is already plenty of content on the tech trees but there is WAY TOO MUCH content that is either hidden or only appearing here and there with events or battlepasses from the Mannlicher M93 being hidden since the merge to many of the event weapons that appear ocassionally that could be added as regular content When you mentioned about having Britain as it's own tech tree it made me think if they could have some sort of sub tree system where you can select the Allies and from there having different versions of the tech tree where you can choose the US and have only US equipment and squads or switch it to British and only have British equipment and squads but still have access to the same maps as the Americans while the same can be done with the Germans having an Italian and Romanian sub tree and so on so the playerbase doesn't get too divided with a whole new faction but they just select their favourite country to play as from a drop down menu when selecting the Allies or Axis and have access to the selected country's equipment and squads while retaining the same queues and this way they could even bring back some content that was removed or hidden after the merge
I agree with you, I like the subtree seperate map idea. How I think it could work is like BR's but with nations. Let's say France map added. If you're lineup has any American equipment/squads and not British, you can't spawn in that map set etc. A Cromwell would be specified brit, while a Thompson would be designated both brit, American and so on
Yes, full auto battle rifles need to have bigger recoil, so is impossible to shoot them full auto. But think rifles that shoot same type of ammo need to have similar damage. Because how you explain M1 Garand losing damage if shots same bullet like Springfield?
Tbh, in my very humble opinion devs need to change their matchmaking system. Otherwise, the game will not have a big player base as it is currently unbalaced and unfair. If you play allies and soviets you suffer cause you have brain dead teammates and lose 50%+ of all games. Seasoned veteran players hop on tier 2 with their premium vehicles and squads and play against newbies with bolt action rifles. This discourages the new players who lose all of the games and have little to no research experience from these matches.
Well yeah, but most of the playerbase does not play planes and they want guns and maps and idk what else, but not planes beacuse to be fair, they are harder than driving a tank or smth.
True... BUT, the maps are way too small for planes in all honesty, thus most people don't play them. If you make the maps big enough for engaging air battles, then it becomes Running Simulator for the guys on the ground; quite the conundrum.
@@JonRaybon yeah, the solution could be to add more of the cars that spawn. But there would still be problems-half of the game would turn into driving simulator, and cars cant get to many places on for example the japanese maps
I know this feels too much to ask but the thought of them adding Cold War weapons. Honestly Darkflow has the potential to maybe be on par with games such as Battlefield and if Darkflow play their cards right then they can be the biggest historical free to play first person shooter.
I would set it up like this about time periods, one tab above the nation icons in main menu to choose between WW1/WW2/COLD WAR/MODERN DAYS/ And each time period would have 5 tiers per nation
@@Dregomz02 everyone in this comment section completely forgets that war thunder exists and in that games early days everyone talking about whats next is exactly how they are with enlisted now, everyones trying to reinvent the wheel with how to handle matchmaking and factions, I think if it aint broke, dont fix it, War thunders route seems to be the best way to go with how they handled post ww2 (although it can use some tweaks and it isnt perfect, but that game has been consistently growing)
I think they should add a “Minor European Axis” tech tree for Italy, Hungary, Finland, and maybe Bulgaria, open it up to play on Stalingrad and Moscow maps, and then boom, new line, bunch of new equipment, and it’s still semi-accurate like the rest of the game.
17:56 I think tanks still need to be powerful. HE should probably have more suppression or induce a stun effect to soldiers in the blast. And 20mms and other autocannons, which in the Cold War became more common on IFVs and light tanks, need buffs. They should at the very least be able to one-tap.
I am 100% sure that they are gonna add more nations or the Korean war, just like war thunder (for those who don't know much about wt it used to be ww2 only but look at it now)
In terms of added content, I'd love to see things like Manchuria, independent UK and Italy trees. Even additions like a Finnish tree and French tree would be cool, with German and US equipment supplementations respectively. However, I still think Enlisted should have more work put into new game modes. I think many players are tired of the current HE spam in many lobbies. I honestly think a deathmatch-type mode with BR 3 weapon spawns, and BR 5 weapons found around the map could be a great addition and change of pace to the current Squads game mode. Also, more support for custom games (and making it more accessible for people to create awesome new community created content) would be HUGE!
I totally agree about Vietnam. I love WWII, but I’m pretty maxed out and have over 1mill in silver and ridiculous amounts of XP. I spend money every Christmas to support the game, but it’s to the point it won’t help me anymore. It would be refreshing to start new tech trees and diff era experiences.
Expand the battle of Berlin for an outskirts allies battle. But then allow it to play vs ussr too. Do they abandon enlisted. For “Enlisted:Cold War” meh I think the opposite for modern combat, changes the gameplay. Even currently enlisted. “go backwards”? Enlisted:ww1” lots of fronts. That would get my vote
Can't believe I bought the battlepass for this game this Christmas. I hate Gaijen, but this game is such a good game it made me pay for a free game. For the price of battlepass, I could've bought all the battlefields on sale...
Here's my two cents on the matter. Like everyone here, i do also think that Enlisted should feature more Pre-WW2 stuff for lower BR content. Early war weaponry is what comes to mind. In my mind, adding the Battle of France would be easier if you can adjust or customise the voice pack for the allies from an American Accent to the British Commonwealth, like Irish, Scottish, and English Accent. Can you imagine an squad with an Australian or Indian Accent, with the appropriate customisable uniforms? For maps, I do agree that Mediterranean Maps would be so good for European Allies vs Axis, Tunisia, Italy (Sicily, Montecasino), but I also think that Yugoslavia and Greece would be awesome mountain maps, limiting tanks and planes. For the jungle vibe, there's always the Philippine Campaign early and late war and the French Indochina campaign. Iwo Jima and Okinawa would be an interesting High BR, maybe even featuring Hacksaw Ridge in Okinawa. Maybe even Denmark for Northern Europe, I agree Finland should also have a feature in too. The Spanish Civil War, Russian Civil War, and the Sino-Japanese War (like Shanghai) is what I suggest for pre-war content. A controversial content I might suggest would be the Irish Civil War. Finally, I agree with one commenter who said that BR 1-2 should be its own matchmaking, 3-4 be its own too, and 5 and a possible 6, as well so that the balancing won't be too severe.
There were jets already in ww2 for the Germans only the ME 262 (fun fact: the first test flight was done back in 1939). They could also do Alt History battles like Operation Unthinkable or other ones like in Hearts of Iron 4 (I'd laugh if they do Equestria at War, they'd probably get the models from the game or just ask anthro versions, or TNO (for the German Civil War or the War in Africa) that would make a lot of customizations and events. Still waiting for the 88mm guns along with fighting in the Dragon's Teeth (Germany's ultimate defense line).
The problem with adding in later wars as part of the tech tree would be new players wouldnt get a chance to experience it unless its an alternative start option. Casual audience of Enlisted is probably 50 hrs deep and still poking away at BR3. The devs would probably have to add "eras" where ww2, vietnam, and modern would all have their own tech trees. But then again that system just reintroduces the concept of campaigns but further in the future.
16:09 AVT-40 was withdrawn not because of the recoil but the recoil made gun broke itself. Early branches of M14 had Full Auto mode later modified to remove it because yes recoil part was one of the factor but also there were no use of it since 30-06 could do the job in one shot then 5.56mm in long range semi-auto shots
I agree on the recoil stuff, to a point, but I disagree on the HE nerf. In reality, most casualties were caused by HE, and in high BR, the reload times are slow. The solution in a modern context is something you already mentioned, flak vests. The main way, in my opinion, to help counter HE power in BR5 is to make some of the maps a little bigger, to allow for more routes to advance.
I was thinking about the French for some time actually. You can have them play against the germans, battle of France, Dunkirk etc. And you can play them against western allies, operation torch (Morocco, Algeria) But then again, there's the concern of higher BRs.
With what you said about the battle of France campaign, a lot of it can be fixed by not mixing factions in a match. For example a match might be Germany vs France OR Commonwealth but not both. The same would be true for other campaigns; a Tunisia match could be Germany OR Italy VS US OR Commonwealth and so on. This of course could would require separate Commonwealth and Italian tech trees.
My suggestion for automatic rifles is to have a class of soldiers, an “automatic rifleman” class that is only in BR5 and are the only class that can use these guns. Historically the biggest reason why these weapons weren’t widely adopted was how expensive they were to produce (this is especially the case for the FG-42.) If enlisted does do a BR-III esque tier for equipment that was used in both WW2 and early Cold War (IS-2, PPSh, certain Sherman varieties, MG-42, etc… they would have to move a lot of their equipment in the game already to that new BR.
I also think that a China faction should be added but players can cue as either nationalist or communist forces. They can either fight the Japanese or do Chinese Civil War games if there aren’t enough people to cue. Both the nationalists and communists used whatever gear they could. The nationalists used T-26s and the Communists used Stewarts for instance
My suggestion for future campaigns would be the Second Sino-Japanese War. I know that it had lots of negative history with both China and Japan, but I believe that it would be an interesting campaign for the game. The varied Chinese terrain could give us some cool maps and both the Chinese Nationalists and Communists could fight against the Japanese together. Enlisted should take this opportunity since Japan is finished and we now have functional Chinese soldiers in the game.
I feel that they really should split off Italy and the Commonwealth to their separate factions And more minor axis factions could be nice additions like Romania, Hungary and stuff
13:00 actually we could just go straight to the alternative history part where cold war gone hot scenario focusing on densely populated areas which both sides would be hesitated to use lethal WMDs for their own agendas and ineffectiveness(DPICM and other cluster weapons can do no shit to modern concrete buildings as you know) This aspect would allow Enlisted to bypass 83 and ARMA Reforger which is still immature and in development
I think this is the reason why they are limiting the addition of Italian and British equipment and technology to the game. They are simply thinking ahead and saving interesting weapons, tanks, aircraft, etc., for these two tech trees. This also explains why we still can’t change the nationality of soldiers or why there’s no effort put into new uniforms for Italian soldiers fighting in campaigns other than Tunisia. They’re essentially ignoring these issues because they plan to resolve them later with the implementation of their own tech trees, and dealing with these problems now would be a waste of time and somewhat unnecessary. Moreover, this would neatly solve the problem of Italians in Berlin, the Ardennes, and Normandy. Italian players could simply participate in campaigns where they actually fought - Africa and the Eastern Front, at least in the context of current campaigns. The alleged issue of a lack of player community is nonsense, as teams could be formed from both German and Italian players, just as mentioned in the video. For the British, it’s even easier since they fought more or less everywhere the Americans did, meaning they could appear almost everywhere the Americans are. Theoretically, the Pacific could focus more on Japan vs. the USA, while Burma could emphasize Japan vs. Britain to make it more historically accurate, but this could just be a soft rule. Two new factions representing major nations of World War II are the ideal solution to the problem of a lack of content for current nations. Oh, and the Soviet Union vs. Japan - like Manchuria and Khalkin Gol - is a must. As a player who enjoys both Soviets and Japanese, I’ve been waiting for this like a revelation!
War Thunder went through the same issue and I imagine the idea would be the same here. Eventually there will be a trasition away from axis vs allies matchmaking and more br focused match making
One option the developers could consider is expanding into the Cold War era, which would be amazing! For example, the USA could be part of the NATO, while Germany could be split into two in terms of post-BR VI content. The Soviets could include factions like Vietnam, Syria-Egypt, and Cuba, among others. However Japan content would be very limited...
another point: active matter active matter is a game that the dark flow team are currently working on. it's an extractive shooter that's science fiction focused. why does this make me excited? because of all the new gameplay mechanic assets that this game's development could bring to enlisted! I think once this game finally gets released we could see some mechanics from this game be brought to enlisted and expand the potential of the game as a whole
I think the solution to this problem would be to include the confrontation between the Soviets and the Japanese and then include the Korean War, this would serve to place the enlisted in the post-second war not so different from the second world war as we are used to since the Korean War had modern equipment but a lot of equipment from the second war was used in the conflict
i also really hope that they actually act on players in 5 stacks etc. stomping public games lol, like maybe make them fight against eachother, like make a system that detects stacks and their strength and tries to put them into playing against each other, cause imo its not a great experience when ur just trying to have an immersive, chill game and then u have a literal clan squad on the enemy team and it just turns into HE and full auto spam. (im not saying that being good is dumb, like bruh id love to be as good as them, but it hurts the experience of the game when they decide to curb stomp average players in public lobbies.)
A soviet Japanese front isn't a possibility until Japan gets enough people to make a big player base. The reason USA doesn't have a br 3-4 queue because Japan doesn't have enough players.
I'm hoping that gaijin add more guns from WW1 era, like more bolt action rifles, it doesn't have to be from any major WW2 country, just add those rare guns. Being able to play guns that are not featured in other FPS games(battlefield or CoD) is the main reason why I keep playing Enlisted.
I feel like Germany doesn’t get good weapons and tanks like the allies and Soviets get. Our king tiger isn’t special anymore now that the super Persching is out.
@@stalliontv8788 king tiger is still the best tank, Hyde is great at close distance but loses against stg44 due worse accuracy and dispersion, Mg42 100 is way better than m1919, t20 is better than fg42, German smgs at br5 all suck (only exception is Conders and removed mp717)
@@stalliontv8788 tiger is still the best lol if it makes you feel any better they might add the jagdtiger next since the super Pershing was added so idk man Germany is still good I would understand if you where talking about Japan but df can only add so much to them since Japan didn't really focus on tanks alot
T20 was never in mass service. It was almost immediately shown up by the M16. Otherwise, there might be a bunch still in use. As far as the recoil and damage stuff goes, a heavier gun usually puts out less recoil. The T20/M1 was pretty chunky. Same with the BAR (both use .30-06 cartridges). The cartridges that were used in WW2 were super great for dropping a target at range, but the penetrating power is the problem; and the mass of the guns. So, yes. From a gun standpoint Enlisted making a T20 or a Federov deal more damage than an AK or an M16, but the penetration values should be MUCH better as well as the handling being VERY good. The greatest advantage that modern weapons have over WW2 stuff is the fire rates we're capable of now. I think that's where your "damage buff" is.
I think the only problem with Vietnam or Korean wars would be german and japanese stuff. They did not make not nearly enough stuff to put into their techtrees
What they need to fix first is the aiming system. Hitting a wall that is under the barrel of your gun when that same wall is not obstructing the barrel or the sights is very annoying. To me that should be top priority in bugfixing. Also the "hold your breath" thing seems useless. I hit more shots without using it, than I do with it. I don't get it. Holding your breath is suppose to make your gun more stable, more accurate. Still when I use it, the bullet doesn't hit, then do the same shot without it and do headshots and kill hits? Doesn't seem very correct imo. About tech trees. They could make the French and British the same tech tree, but separated from US. Because there's still a lot they can make with these two in terms of scenarios that the US wasn't part of. For example France 1940, which would be Germany vs France on lower BR's (since they use early war equipment). Germany vs Britain on the same period, since Britain sent the British Expeditionary Force to help France (that got almost wiped out at Dunkirk). Italy vs Britain and Germany vs Britain on the desert campaign (before US joined in 1943). Also Late war, with Normady landings where only British and Canadian troops participated.
We really need more Italian content. So much fighting went on in Italy, Monte Casino, Ortona, Anzio Italy fought actively until around late 1944, to see them only mentioned briefly in Tunisia is a disservice
The reason that a machingun' recoil is manageable is due to the weight of the weapon. For example, the M1919 Browning weighs just of 30 pounds so it can fire 6 to 9 round bursts pretty accurately. Put it on a tripod with a traverse and elevation control device attached and it can be quite accurate out to hundreds of meters. If you shoot a 9mm pistol cartridge from a converted AR15 which weighs about 5 times as much as a Glock, the accuracy is stunning. So, I don't think that Dark Flow needs to tweak the weapons' control ability in the game much if at all. Just my humble opinion.
Agree with everything you said Quadro you need a job with the snail. Enlisted could grow so much and go either direction with the tech tree. Ww2 weapons would fit in Vietnam as mac v sog could use whatever weapons they wanted and the vc also used what they could get hold of. Vehicles would need more controlling. I’ve maxed out the game now and even levelled most legacy squads really craving new content.
They should implement a battle point system for vehicles like in warthunder. I think that would help cut back on the vehicle and explosive spam. Also they should restrict players to only be able to have one squad of a particular type in their lineup. So no one is running 3 paratrooper squads and 2 fighter bombers…etc.
Avs 36 - 7.62x54 ak47 - 7.62x39 Notice how the avs has a bigger bullet? That’s why it would translate to doing more damage per shot ; Ak47 can be fired automatic with still having a fair sized round . Balance .
The point about most factions having nothing left to add to the tech trees is a solid concern. Commonwealth, France and Italy would be solid ads though if you could add new maps in early war France and more of the North Africa campaign though it'd be difficult to bring them past BR III. I personally miss Bad Company 2: Vietnam so I'd love a full vietnam campaign within Enlisted. Not only does it introduce helicopters but you could also have brown water navy landing craft, patrol boats zipping around the rivers bisecting the battlefields.
I hard disagree on moving away from WWII era in Enlisted. I much prefer that they make a Sequel starting during the cold war up to modern times. The Second world war is the meat and potatoes of Enlisted and even though it sounds great to add more content to the game I feel that simply making a brand new game would be much better.
Imo they should merge the tech tree feature with the "battle of -" feature Basically, you have different campaigns, WW2, Korean war, Vietnam war, WW1, etc... and in the beginning you choose which campaign you want to start for free. However, if you choose WW1, you cant just hop onto WW2 or the Vietnam war, you need to get 3x Tier 3 squads in the campaign you started before you can choose anothee campaign Basically it allows player retention for all the campaigns and it would obv separate the different eras
The problem with post WW2 content for me is that I already dislike high BR in Enlisted so I stick with BR 1-3 at the moment. Then again maybe BR4-5 would become more tolerable if all the sweaty players moved into Korea
In my opinion, I would feel like if they ran out of World War II content, they would have to make a new tear in the texture for like Cold War weapons so we can go to probably Vietnam or Cuba
most important point: multi nationed battles overall I believe the goal of creating multiple nationed battles is required or else everything is just gonna be a cluster. this requires tech trees to be established and assets for players to be replicated in the corresponding positions
If they make it so different factions can load into the same game, that will solve the player split, for example:low BR Britain and France can load into the same, so as Britain and America mid br in tunisia
I feel like Enlisted playerbase is either WW1 enthusiast who wants more early war stuff, bolties and cavalary or Cold War enjoyer who wants full auto rifles, helicopters and big tanks
Soviet - Japanese war, Battles of Iwo Jima and Okinawa, the Chinese - Japanese war, British Indian Army and other commonwealth squads, Battle of Kursk.. World War II has no end damn.
Thing is just what are we doing with the soviets and germans? There was no conflict and the bundeswehr was founded in 56 so they wouldnt exist in the korea timeline
I come a bit late, but France could be put into a Commonwealth TT, just like Hungary could pad up an Italian TT. I also think captured weapons are fine, if put to represent additional countries: for example, since a Chinese faction would be almost impossible to properly implement (since it was a very underpowered mix of lend-lease weapons), Chinese weapons could pad up the Japanese TT (like the KE7). The same could be done for Germany and Polish, Yugoslavian, etc. weapons. The country I have no clue how to handle is the USSR, apart from captured Finnish and Polish weapons (more British-American lend leased weapons are an option, but a rather boring one). About post-WW2 stuff, yeah no, there is a decent amount of WW2 stuff yet to be introduced, also idk how hard this is but Darkflow should put more people to work on maps, and reuse assets whenever possible. There are plenty of fronts yet to be seen, and would give each BR its own flavor (instead of, for example, BR1-5 Stalingrad (which some people hate)). Also Cold War was all about assimetrical warfare, no big armies clashing against each other. What would you do with the Vietnamise? Give them tanks somehow, despite their historical guerrilla tactics? The only solution, without drastically changing the fundamentals of Enlisted (in fact the squad system wouldn't work well in Vietnam), would be fictional wars between new factions, because otherwise you'd be putting bolties and boobytraps against helicopters. In fact it is easier to go BACKWARDS towards WW1, due to how squads and armies fought back then. It also helps that its main combatants were pretty close to what Enlisted already has, removing Italy and swapping Japan for thr Ottomans and/or Austria-Hungary.
The British fought in France, a French tech tree wouldn't be just France. It would probably have to have the Belgians, Dutch, Luxembourgish and the Brits (unless they get their own faction) for it to work out without running out if French content. They already have tons of French guns in game just they are all like premiums...tons of them... I do think that moving on from WW2 would be a fun idea, I've never really thought of it but it's smart. Personally would rather see WW1, Korea and Vietnam more than any other conflict that goes before or beyond WW2. Like...I would love to play in more modern combat but I don't think they should jump straight to Vietnam before doing Korea or to Iraq before doing Vietnam. I don't even think it needs to go on beyond Vietnam...like if they did WW1, WW2, Korea and Vietnam I think that's enough...idk I still think there is much to do in terms of WW2, whether we get new tech tree content or not I'd be happy to be playing on a unique map and as a unique faction. Just thought of this but a Russian civil war game mode would be cool. Monarchist vs Communist and you could also do the Ukrainian Anarchists vs Imperial Germans/Ukrainian Republic/Communist/Monarchist. Plus there is also the possibility for a train game mode like Berlin had. If you wonder why just look up the Czech-Slovak Legion, they did fun armored train things in Siberia.
A Vietnam Enlisted would have to play completely different because of how asymmetric the warfare was. People already complain when a faction doesn’t have a 100% counter for anything. Can you imagine one side having air superiority and the other needing to use traps and hit and run tactics? People already cry about AP mine spam. It would be punji pit spam in a Vietnam version.
What i would like to see is a separate TT for the British and The Commonwealth. I feel that they have enough weapons and vehicles to create a new TT. Another reason why i would like to see another TT for them is due to how American weapons overshadow them.
Honestly I can think of a good few years worth of ww2 content. I think part off that starts with expanding the BR range. I-V just is't enough to accurately represent how far military technology developed in ww2. At the start most countries were still using WW1 weapons and equipment, and by the end we essentially see the creation of jet plans, modern assualt rifles and guided missiles. Expanding the BR would make it easier to incorporate more weapons on both ends of the spectrum without it seeming ridiculous. You could so far as to make BR I-II mostly WW1 tech, which was accurate anyway, before even starting to introduce true ww2 weapons. Furthermore I personally think the tech tree needs to be split more. As others have mentioned, I think France and Italians for sure, plus their respectives campaigns. I also think that China as a location and potentially faction or subfaction needs to be added. That would give Japan two more opponents i.e Japan vs China, as well as Japan vs Russia. Plus china could also take part in the Burma campaign. Also Norway and Finland as locations and subfactions need to be added. Brits, Norwegians, and Russians fought against Germany in Norway, and the Germans, Finns, and Swedes fought agaisnt the Russians in Finland. There's also a lot of Swedish/Norwegian/Finnish tech to be added. Plus Finland/Norway don't have to just be a winter campaign, they fought in summer there too... There really is a lot more that can be done with the game. What about an Ethiopian campaign? Ethiopian troops fought on both sides, there were unique weapons, and it was British commonwealth vs the Italians. Or what about the middle eastern campaign in the Levant? Many options there in regards to unique weaponary and units. There are still a lot of weapons, both real, prototypes and paper that haven't been touched. Plus who says weapons have to be the limit? New game modes, new support mechanisms, and abilities can be added for example. I personally think a larger game mode with larger maps which suits Riders, APCs, Tanks would be very cool and would allow for more large scale tactics to be used, like wide flanking attacks with riders to take objectives or potentially introducing actual field artillery. I also think different types of support should be available for different factions. Katyusha rocket barrages for the soviets, Naval bombardments for the UK/Commonwealth, V1/V2 rocket strikes for the Germans et cetera. I think even crew manned bombers would be a great addition. Your squad operating a bomber while you change between pilot, gunners, bombadier? (I think this would be great as fighters could work with bombers providing cover et cetera. Especially as the bombing run radio ability at the moment is pretty shit) But I definitely think before the game expands into the cold war, it definitely needs go go backwards first and into the first world war. WW1 maps would be extremely intense and once again there is a LOT of variety and a HUGE amount of new wepaons that can be added. Most of which were used throughout WW2 as well by main factions, and/or minor factions.
I would like a change to the command for our sqauds to attack vehicles, perhaps they could automatically attack them when in range and use their anti tank weapons if they are AT gunners

@JohnDiabol I would quit too.
Damn bro we'll sure miss you or sum 😭
Yep. Me too. If they add stuff, either ww1 or post ww2, I do hope they make it always historically accurate. Everything fights the period accurate, none of War Thunder BS of having post-war stuff fighting along with ww2 stuff.
Factos: Until 1960 US forces stuck with WW2 era personal weapons
personally, I believe instead of going forward with the techtree, the could be some potential for it going BACKWARDS and giving us ww1 with maps like verdun, the rhine, the russian empire and the ottoman empire
edit: can you imagine calling toxic gas with the radio?
Easy ones could be like going back to 1940 france or Spanish Civil war even
Exactly
Thats great i would love that!
You know, I didnt mention that in the video but I've definitely thought about it. WW1 would be really sick. Great point!
Hell no unless my 100 round Thompson can deploy
Tech tree paratroopers for the sake of all the new players
Also one more thing I’m against Cold War because we have modders and also while it’s true one day the ww2 tech trees will be full people forget that ww2 is a world war and there are 100s of battles and theaters to add to enlisted to make it a complete and true ww2 experience. Also just floating the idea: why are small factions bad? I’m sure there a players out there who would love to play as France or china and yes while they don’t compare to the big 3 that’s ok, look at Japan. Think of how much it would stimulate the community if the devs added china for our Chinese players so they don’t have to play as either their enemy or Europe
They are not very effective, my friend (at least the free ones). I prefer to use regular squads instead.
@@ryanmichael74 Small faction tech trees that stick to just a couple BR's would work. They could also make it that different factions can load into the same team eg; US and great Britain vs Italy and Germany in an Italian campaign
interchangeable weapons pls at the moment only soviet paratroopers have the ability to switch their weapons for god knows why.
HELL NO! i just paid for that @#$% finally after all these years, paratroopers are not for peasants ever!!!
I think that a world war 1 mode would be cool

tbh personally I want British and Italy as their own faction as the British don't get presented as they should as they should add things like the Cromwell(s) or Churchills e.t.c and roughly the same idea for Italy and then we get extra content and more maps with this e.g arnham (can spawn at a glider crash which did kinda happen irl) for the British for Italy you could do Sicily and the Italian campaign
I would love Italian maps.
With Italian assets they could also make Greece campaign
@@Dregomz02that would be sick
Personally I'd say 1980s
I meen, cold war is full of battles, i think the main problem is that how are you gonna continue say the german tree, since they got split into east and west and didnt fight? Also, how do you make usa fight in vietnam or korea, when there is no vietcong or north koreans? Do they fight soviets? Do the soviets get auto equipted with vietcong skins in vietnam? Or do the vietnamese get there own tech tree that starts and ends in vietnam war... i think that is the main issue of making realistic cold war battles, since a lot of the wars involved countries not in enlisted
Too easy to add in as is; just US vs Soviets, Berlin map.
Except for the fact that the vietcong were found to have stg44 and kar98s along with a host of Soviet and japanese weapons in there possession.
The issue is in low BR there is always a solution to the situation you are presented at high BR you could be sandwiched between a tiger, semi auto snipers, artillery and all operated by experienced people and there is nothing to do
If they add cold war content it will split the playerbase, and if there is no hard barrier, ww2 will be ruined.
They should add new maps and new squads. Like the smg companies for Russia, sturmzug for Germany and the Devils brigade for the US
Counterpoint on the Manchurian campaign, it lasted for less than a week before Japan surrendered.
Stuff needs to be seperate.
should they do an italian campaign then?
I would love to see low br khalkin gol and high br Manchuria. I agree that there should be subtrees, to do so, all squads and equipment get designated by nation. Let's say France is added, if you'reallied lineup has American things it cant spawn in france map. But if all equip is brit then it can, like a Cromwell is only brit, but a Thompson is designated both American and brit cuz both used it.
While I'd love to see Manchuria represented since it's an underexplored theater, I just can't see Japan br V being able to compete with Soviet br V without inventing a bunch of guns, tanks and planes that exist less than the prototypes and one offs we have there now
I think BR1-3 content should get priority in the near future
They could do the invasion of Sakhalin as well though, which was a couple of weeks of fighting with thousands of casualties on both sides, fighting amongst terrain reminiscent of the Pacific North West. Would also make for a good late game map imo
i think time would be a GOOD addition like imagine the same maps but at night.dawn or evening
I think you're right that the game is running out of content to add when it comes to WW2 but that is for weapons and vehicles while with campaigns they still have LOTS and I mean LOTS of maps they could add (maps set in battles on Poland, South East Asia, China with Shanghai or Hong Kong , Finland, Italy and so many more maps they could add) but when it comes to guns not only there is already plenty of content on the tech trees but there is WAY TOO MUCH content that is either hidden or only appearing here and there with events or battlepasses from the Mannlicher M93 being hidden since the merge to many of the event weapons that appear ocassionally that could be added as regular content
When you mentioned about having Britain as it's own tech tree it made me think if they could have some sort of sub tree system where you can select the Allies and from there having different versions of the tech tree where you can choose the US and have only US equipment and squads or switch it to British and only have British equipment and squads but still have access to the same maps as the Americans while the same can be done with the Germans having an Italian and Romanian sub tree and so on so the playerbase doesn't get too divided with a whole new faction but they just select their favourite country to play as from a drop down menu when selecting the Allies or Axis and have access to the selected country's equipment and squads while retaining the same queues and this way they could even bring back some content that was removed or hidden after the merge
It's the one thing that it's well made in hell let loose you feel the power of those semi/auto rifles (gun sound is also superior)
If we ever get a sequel that’s based around the Cold War I want it to be named “Conscripted.”
They should add Vietnam and call it Drafted
"Constripted" sounds better and follows the Enlisted theme.
That game name actually makes sense XDXD
Or "Press Gang"
So I have to buy premium time for 2 games?
I hope they add the Italian Campaign and a new Korean War game
monte cassino for sure
Look at war thunder, i'd bet money that enlisted will add atleast the british and italians into their own factions, if not more
Tbh, in my very humble opinion devs need to change their matchmaking system.
Im a german player who somewhat does this but it was because I grew board of tier 5, youve inspired me to grind allies to try and aid the newbies
Update
After losing 4 matches in a row with allies I switched back to Axis
4 out of 5 games are wins now
Go cry . I do just fine as Soviets
Tier v german against Russians is a meat grinder both directions
There are still many WWII aircraft that can be added to the tech tree.
What we need is asian servers. Like it's unplayable to play in my country because of the lags and the servers being all up in the north
I don’t think they should turn it into COD. But they should add types of movement, better character models, more modes, and more sponsors of the game.
I haven’t seen many sponsors online and I think it could boost up the games popularity.
They should also add much better tutorials.
I know this feels too much to ask but the thought of them adding Cold War weapons. Honestly Darkflow has the potential to maybe be on par with games such as Battlefield and if Darkflow play their cards right then they can be the biggest historical free to play first person shooter.
I forgot to add, I love your content videos for Enlisted.
I would set it up like this about time periods, one tab above the nation icons in main menu to choose between WW1/WW2/COLD WAR/MODERN DAYS/
And each time period would have 5 tiers per nation
I would love to choose different eras, but there would probably be "dead" eras, with not enough players to fill each lobby.
I ain't paying $50 x16 for each eras slots I'm not made of gold

And you can play them against western allies, operation torch (Morocco, Algeria)
But then again, there's the concern of higher BRs.
Historically the biggest reason why these weapons weren’t widely adopted was how expensive they were to produce (this is especially the case for the FG-42.)
If enlisted does do a BR-III esque tier for equipment that was used in both WW2 and early Cold War (IS-2, PPSh, certain Sherman varieties, MG-42, etc… they would have to move a lot of their equipment in the game already to that new BR.
Ive pretty much made that exact "auto rifleman" recommendation in the past! well said
They should add hacksaw ridge
Iwo jima for sure, okinawa
My suggestion for future campaigns would be the Second Sino-Japanese War. I know that it had lots of negative history with both China and Japan, but I believe that it would be an interesting campaign for the game. The varied Chinese terrain could give us some cool maps and both the Chinese Nationalists and Communists could fight against the Japanese together. Enlisted should take this opportunity since Japan is finished and we now have functional Chinese soldiers in the game.
I feel that they really should split off Italy and the Commonwealth to their separate factions
And more minor axis factions could be nice additions like Romania, Hungary and stuff
As a player who enjoys both Soviets and Japanese, I’ve been waiting for this like a revelation!
polish tech tree
War Thunder went through the same issue and I imagine the idea would be the same here. Eventually there will be a trasition away from axis vs allies matchmaking and more br focused match making
i personally would love just map-based updates, and nothing else. Just new maps to complement the game. altho idk if players wld mind
China could be a good Campaign for enlisted because of their chaotic variety of weapons, equipment and vehicles!
East Germany vs West Germany would be fun. Finally you would have two teams tryharding and building rallies
another point: active matter
active matter is a game that the dark flow team are currently working on. it's an extractive shooter that's science fiction focused. why does this make me excited? because of all the new gameplay mechanic assets that this game's development could bring to enlisted! I think once this game finally gets released we could see some mechanics from this game be brought to enlisted and expand the potential of the game as a whole
The UK fought in france in 1940. Almost 2 million British troops fought there untill the end.
If I said UK i meant US. The point is that 1940 France would divide the playerbase
You can easily pen the super Pershing from the front
@ that’s not the point, I’m saying the Germans have no advantages anymore now with the super Pershing and Hyde added to the game.
Average german main whining
So much fighting went on in Italy, Monte Casino, Ortona, Anzio
Italy fought actively until around late 1944, to see them only mentioned briefly in Tunisia is a disservice
They can add Korean War, Vietnam War, Afghan War and Gulf War stuffs. I mean 2003 weapons and equipment is pretty historically old by now.
They should implement a battle point system for vehicles like in warthunder. I think that would help cut back on the vehicle and explosive spam. Also they should restrict players to only be able to have one squad of a particular type in their lineup. So no one is running 3 paratrooper squads and 2 fighter bombers…etc.
Avs 36 - 7.62x54
ak47 - 7.62x39
Notice how the avs has a bigger bullet?
Imo they should merge the tech tree feature with the "battle of -" feature
Basically, you have different campaigns, WW2, Korean war, Vietnam war, WW1, etc... and in the beginning you choose which campaign you want to start for free. However, if you choose WW1, you cant just hop onto WW2 or the Vietnam war, you need to get 3x Tier 3 squads in the campaign you started before you can choose anothee campaign
Basically it allows player retention for all the campaigns and it would obv separate the different eras
The problem with post WW2 content for me is that I already dislike high BR in Enlisted so I stick with BR 1-3 at the moment. Then again maybe BR4-5 would become more tolerable if all the sweaty players moved into Korea
In my opinion, I would feel like if they ran out of World War II content, they would have to make a new tear in the texture for like Cold War weapons so we can go to probably Vietnam or Cuba
most important point: multi nationed battles
overall I believe the goal of creating multiple nationed battles is required or else everything is just gonna be a cluster. this requires tech trees to be established and assets for players to be replicated in the corresponding positions
Good point
Soviet - Japanese war, Battles of Iwo Jima and Okinawa, the Chinese - Japanese war, British Indian Army and other commonwealth squads, Battle of Kursk.. World War II has no end damn.
If they were to move on I think it should be its own thing.
the issue with going post ww2 content is that you take what small player base there already is and spread them out even thinner
It also helps that its main combatants were pretty close to what Enlisted already has, removing Italy and swapping Japan for thr Ottomans and/or Austria-Hungary.
ngl I would be pretty excited if we got cold war battles like Vietnam and stuff.
Enlisted needs a hardcore gamemode with friendly fire, no hitmarkers or killfeed and historical weapon jaming
I feel like Japan can be switched to just an Asian tree
Where you can add like China or Korean to the tree so it has more stuff
A Vietnam Enlisted would have to play completely different because of how asymmetric the warfare was. People already complain when a faction doesn’t have a 100% counter for anything. Can you imagine one side having air superiority and the other needing to use traps and hit and run tactics? People already cry about AP mine spam. It would be punji pit spam in a Vietnam version.
What i would like to see is a separate TT for the British and The Commonwealth. I feel that they have enough weapons and vehicles to create a new TT.
Another reason why i would like to see another TT for them is due to how American weapons overshadow them.
Not sure if korean war era would be a good idea since the last time I checked on wikipedia, it is still ongoing between the north and the south.
Especially as the bombing run radio ability at the moment is pretty shit)
But I definitely think before the game expands into the cold war, it definitely needs go go backwards first and into the first world war. WW1 maps would be extremely intense and once again there is a LOT of variety and a HUGE amount of new wepaons that can be added. Most of which were used throughout WW2 as well by main factions, and/or minor factions.
i would be so hyped on a chinese faction, tech tree, and campaign. i can’t even think of any fps game that has done that.
I hope they create some fictional campaigns featuring the Allies versus the Soviets or the Germans versus the Japanese.
id hope to see less pay to win features, i get its free to play but it should be cosmetics for guns or stuff not the guns themselves
I would like a change to the command for our sqauds to attack vehicles, perhaps they could automatically attack them when in range and use their anti tank weapons if they are AT gunners
I have a feeling they'll eventually enter the cold war era at some point like what war thunder did back in the day.
The problem fixes you mention are some of the things that ran a good portion of the playerbase away and turned away some of the new ones.
