When phrased in the narrative of a false saviour, Madara Being a stand in for Kaguya's will all along seems very poetic from that lense. Never once have I stopped to consider the ending of Naruto like that. Great vid🔥
A great video, love the talk of themes and character. Madara is a great character, so lost in his sauce that he loses sight of whats actually happening around him. HE is a man who wants to be an island, yet all his losses reflect that it is an impossibility. Life is not so easy that you can have a happy ending in such a way. I'd love more content like this, breaking down from a literary perspective the good or bad parts of the story and the greater context being talked about and what shaped the characters from the real world.
This was an excellent dissection video on both sides. Madara's Icarus parallels were very much eye-opening. I'd love to hear your breakdown of Orochimaru, who, like Obito, is someone I feel is massively misunderstood.

Second of all, bringing her back wouldn't given him what he actually wanted. Obito didnt just want rin back. Obito wanted to be that naive kid again. He wanted to go back to his younger days, and relive them and continue on, as if he was never crushed and rin never died. Bringing rin back wouldn't have done that.
