- Part 3: in 2005 Liam Galvin & Yvette Rowland spent the day filming True Crime & Unlicensed Boxing Legend Roy Shaw at his home in Essex for the dvd 'Roy Shaw - Brute Force'. Much of the unedited footage was not used on the dvd & in this third part Roy tells how he set fire to a nightclub, saw a Doorman get gunned down, how Ronnie Biggs asked him to escape with him, his Rooftop Prison Protest & how he was banged up in 19 Prisons! A brutal look at a violent life!

Proper HARD man. See his face when the phone went on 4.20. Instant reaction. Not afraid to admit he was scared when he was released from prison. No need to pretend to be hard.
I think the phone got scared and stopped ringing 🤣
I bet Roy 'done him' for having the cheek to ring whilst being interviewed.
seriously 😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
I could listen to Roy all day 👍😋
This guy clearly has a screw loose.
Never started a fight myself 🤣🤣🤣🤣 ...BOLLOCKS
No not bollocks he didn't start fights he finished em listen to what he said he want a liberty taker
They say he hated bullies, seems to b nice guy face value, watched loads documented never heard bad word about him really?
@@annbinns615 apart from him ambushing and stabbing people?
@Marcus Bailey because someone else told him to, he was used by people , he wasn't a well man, he was never sorry either which makes him a horrible person and that's that.
@@mikebryson9350 Was he not well, or was he a horrible man then? If he couldn't feel empathy or regret because of a mental illness, then he was just horribly ill. Can't be both can it.
"It was lovely seeing all the cows in the trees" :D
🤣 his mouth thinks faster than his brain can speak . Love this guy !
You can see from his right eye an unrepaired previous orbital fracture.
@2:13 “I was so fiery” . . . great choice of words 😳.
Fuck me, it's exhausting just watching this! Imagine how it felt to be Roy Shaw, having that level of intensity and paranoia running through your veins. I was close friends with somebody very similar to Roy, and I'm pretty sure both fit the classic mould of psychopaths.
I completely agree with you.
Psychopath, maybe. Gentleman, certainly. RIP Shaw.
Rest in peace Roy one proper hard man.. And a gentleman that's if you didn't cross him..
U often find the hardest bloke in the pub is the quiet bloke sat in the corner .minding his own business .the big mouth .stood at the bar .giving it the large 1 .is all mouth and trousers .an inflated bag of wind .
watched a few of these now and cant believe how good his memory is... remembering ppls names, bars, streets, towns convosations, all from over 20-30 years ago mebys longer... would love to sit down with him n listen to every story..
He never started a fight, yet he filled some one in for asking where him and his two mates( in a pub ) where they were going😂🤣
Credit were credit is due Roy at this age still looks like a hard barsterd
Wouldn’t like to be telling him I knocked up his daughter
TASK FORCE KNIGHT Norman Bates
Class gentleman sharp tie the knot centre and pristine
His face 4:19 when the phone rings! Scary
Probably the best cold caller in the world from Hammer Inc.
Why
“ we’re sorry to hear that you recently had a car accident “……
Roy did the bloke that made that call, it was the callers fault though for starting it.
Roy personality disorder shaw
Say it to his face
@@billyfoster9087😫never
Mick Theo and John Fury are lucky Roy Shaw isn't about. He'd probably challenge both of them to a fight.
shaw would batter them
Lenny would batter all three one after the other
@@graveoffense572 Lenny Mcclean was a hooge intimidating bloke who could fight like fuck.Roy Shaw beat him though.
How about Bartley Gorman
@@jamiewilson5679 yeah then mclean knocked him out twice, and roy blamed it on ginseng and vitamin E 🤣
Old shark eyes
What a sound bloke
“If you wanna stick ten grand up.” Ten grand for a rope over a wall? Lunatics.
Proper clever man old Roy 😄
I've often enjoyed looking at cows and lambs in the trees.
Cows in the trees???wtf was he smoking😂
Lambs and the cows and the trees...more like what are you smoking
thats norman wisdom
Mr grimesdale!!
Get the man some chap stick
😂
He always licks his lips,i think it’s when he gets agitated,he does it more when he talks about his fights.
@@glenmiles6279 its cos he's cooked
Hes a gentleman
Psychopath*
Norman wisdom looks pissed
Geezer called rainbow?
I just don't get it how come these guys didn't have a fatal fall on steep stairs?
What in jail? They tried to kill him in jail,,Mr Joe Pyle helped big time there getting the guv'nor of the jail straighten out..
They did. And they do..the block stairs are the most dangerous ones in the land.. .happens all the time .in clubs in block stairs ..I never toutched em when I went down .I noticed how well worn they were on way back up em tho. I can remember trying to work out how many foot of stairs people had missed or slipped on .and the numbers being immense...they always throw you down..only time a prisoners feet toutched block stairs was when the governer was down there doing disciplinary hearings.. plus I think it's these big guys who can actually jam themselves in the staircase to stop this very phenomena from happening... Bronson's cell was next to t block stairs. He was a stair wedge ..I've seen em going for gold trying to dis wedge him...haha... happy days
You know when you've done some serious shit when someone says "that time you went back with petrol"... Reply "o yes that 1". He'd forgot!!!
Never started a fight? Yeah right 😂
Liam you realy confuse me why the fuck is all the footage not on the dvds?
Because the dvd 'Roy Shaw - Brute Force' was only a 50 min prog - at the time we were making crime progs for TV which had to be about 50 mins so I couldn't use all of the stuff which is why I'm putting all the unedited stuff online - thanks for watching
This guy could be a character in one of Guy Ritchie's films.
Never
U never heard of Shaw?
He would've been if he was still alive,he wasn't a big man by any means,5,9 I'd say (saw him at Stansted airport in 2002, or 2004,was going to see my sister in Germany).but watch his first fight with lenny McClean (who was much bigger and younger),he was an animal man.
This is real life poppit
THEY COULDNT BREAK HIM . PROPER MAN. AND NOT A GRASS.
Looks so much like Will Farrell.
He looked a fit man even at that age was it cancer or something else that caught up with him in the end?
It was the drink that killed him
No, cancer got diagnosed wit Roy
@@mikebryson9350 no it werent
@@wibblywobbles2439 no it werent it was heart failure
@@blackrain457 he was hit by a guinness truck so it was literally the drink that killed him
Legend..must buy his book
Great read!🦍
He never talks about being knocked out by Albert Reading!
Bill the bomb knocked out Albert reading
Bill the bomb?
That's because he didnt
@@paulbanks2832 err,yeah mate,twice.
Lol Albert reading says a lot of shit ,he said he did the Richardson's and Frankie Fraser all on the same day in jail ,,,lol 😂🤣 they was never ever all in the same jail let alone the same landing the guys a porky teller
9:34
Sounds like he was having a stroke
The geezer looks mean ...one of them guys who's ready to fight at a blink of an eye ....if he had that energy in his later years , I can't imagine what he was like when he was young .
Was he on medication or illegal drugs.? Cos he looks wired..
Flake n testosterone... confused brain pan...but underneath it all..a mean streak a mile wide ..a very talented boxer.. fought with a style .not a brawler like big Len . probably why the so called guv, would steadfastly refuse to give him a rematch .cos he could jab. I can totally see how he lost to Sykesey cos he was street and ring, much like himself but more ability.. but never Lenny .it's funny how Sykes says he was drugged when he fought for the commonwealth heavyweight gloves title..and Shaw gives a similar story when McLean took the last fight. The liquid ginseng story. .I think they both overtrained. It wasn't a thing when these guys were in the ring or on the cobbles was it ..they all hit Broadmoor at some point in Thier careers these guys don't they?...I know it's a dumping ground..or was.prob still is .but you need to be behaving mentally to hit Broadmoor... facinating characters
Where was Roys carlot in Romford? I'll give my girlfriend a sightseeing lockdown tour.....bosh!
You will have a hard job it's a block of flats now.
For my 18 birthday my older mates had a whip round and bought me a brass from the massage parlour next door 😁
Shaun Hughes Engraving was opposite the Tollgate pub it was on Hard Bastards.
mike mike I remember that well! Opposite the Tollgate pub!
Shaun Hughes Engraving He never actually tar the car Lott,he just owned the freehold! I think it was a guy named Mosley that rented it!
A good solid man .never hear him say a bad word about any 1 .would of liked to of meet him and shook his hand
I was banged up with Roy at Coldbath Fields many years ago.
