Well, Mark once again you have been to an Australian destination that I have been meaning to go to & yet, despite living only 40 minutes away have not as yet done so. However am taking to ferry to Cockatoo Island this weekend! However, I have been on the River ferry from Parramatta to Circular Quay - a great journey. Barangaroo was once an ugly ship container wharf when Syddne was once a prominent 'working harbor' - now all containers travel via Botany Bay. As you may the name comes from a once powerful leader of the Eora Nation *& was the wife to another famous First Nation leader Bennelong (where the Sydney Opera House now stands). I'm looking forward to visiting the island as it has a steep history in the creation of Australia, as well as for the British Royal Navy & Australian Royal Navy - the last warship was built there in 1984. I understand it is going through a restoration project to restore many of its original buildings etc.
Unfortunately, due to time constraints I could not look around on the island. Sydney Harbour is always spectacular! I must do that Rivercat soon, as well as the Watsons Bay and Manly trips
