My definition of a rat:
- If you commit crimes with people, and you wind up in trouble for that, and you tell on your friends to get a lesser sentence, you are a rat.
- If you know of a street guy who has committed crimes, and you are in this life yourself, and you tell the cops about that persons crimes for whatever reason, you are a rat
You are not a rat, if you...
- are a civilian, and give statements to the police
- call police because your car has been stolen, home broken into, and you are going to claim insurance
- if someone is killing or recklessly harming innocent civilians that has nothing to do with the streets (think Jeffry Dhamer, bunch of guys raping a minor, etc.)
