Love that place. Explored it with a Sabre many decades ago and still drop in for a day or two on most trips north.
Yes the goats are out of control now. You need a good belt.. (22:10) Thanks for the visuals.

Spotted that classic Aussie rock from the Sunnyboys over dinner - one of my favourite bands. Great start to an epic adventure - hope the wind comes up in the coming days.

I remember that NS14 Travellers Trophy race like it was yesterday. I was sailing Red Roo - sail no 1120 I think. Won the Lake Macquarie Championships in her that year. There was some wind separated by 30-60 minute patches of no wind. I remember off the start line in about 15 knots blowing up the damn wall the wind swirled through about 200 degrees and all bar about 6 or 7 boats capsized to windward simultaneously. I then led the fleet by about 200m for 2 laps and made it to one leg from the finish line when the boat parked and the whole fleet came from behind and sailed around me on both sides. Then they parked about 40m from the finish line and sat there while I picked up a private breeze and sailed through the bunch. Eventually the whole fleet sailed across the line about 30m from first to last. I came 4th from memory. I never went back there but the race was a bit of a giggle and it’s burned in my memory.
