Nice you actually got the Gram-R refresh, I have the OG Gram-R which is wired into the board. I got what looks like mx style, with cherry cross - stem, DREVO labeled blue switches. And my OG Gram-R has plastic case, with a plastic bezels around. My LEDs were all white instead of multicolored and the case was black only.
The keyboard feels super light, so I plan bulk up the weight for a more solid typing experience and lube the stabilizers to reduce the clacky sound and rattle noise
I also have the more premium 84key version the Excalibur with a solid milled aluminum body and detachable micro-b usb plug and cable. This has a more solid feel to them and don't sound light and rattlely, they came with cherry mx cross stemmed brown switches by outemu. The newer outemu switches have a dust jacket bracket around the cross stem for reds, browns, blues.
I love the 84key, 75% form factor, I also like the 68key, 65% form factor keyboard both are esthetically pleasing to look at for the layout, besides I need my function keys and printscreen, del, page up & down keys.

I’ve always wanted to know what the keyboard sounds like with brown switches. I would also like for there to be a certain color as you mentioned, but I just chose white cause it was unique. Now one day, I just require the pc to run the games I desire to. Thank you for showing me a straightforward walk though.

If they updated this with actual RGB.. software support that allows for changing or adding functions on the Fn layer.. I'd pick this up. I like this layout. Also the Fn key combination to get to the numberpad is a little ridiculous

i feel like this board is a budget remake of their Excalibur. I have that one for work has a metal base and cherry switches and a built in F key numpad

I was wondering about this vs excalibur.. and maybe metal looks better, but sound is much louder. Today Gramr is comming. Hope so that refresh version have keycaps like excalibur- matt "rubber like"

Do the LEDs change at all when you toggle the numpad mode? I'd love it if the numbers lit up and the letters dimmed to help you when you aren't yet used to the diagonal layout.
