Forever has quickly become one of my favorites of all time. In fact, I bought 2 bottles on the spot, and a planned on stocking some more. So now I'm thinking of getting Italian Love, which would fill those backup bottle spots in my collection.
@@alexisperez1997 two different worlds, but I for one, do not like the eau intense, but I'm clearly minority here. Eau intense is salty/aquatic/aromatic, whereas forever is full on grapefruit citric/musky with Vetiver dry down
@@alexisperez1997 eau intense is good, i had a sample of it along with the one edp edt and k edp and i will say. eau intense is signature worthy probably a little more imo compared to the rest of dolce gabbana since it’s subtle yet long lasting and very versatile but me personally i love italian love because of it’s uniqueness and natural smell of bergamot and vetiver drydown it’s so accurate and a breath of fresh air i’ve been getting genuine compliments of curiosity and wonder
I totally agree with his assessment, it’s spot on. The blend of notes at the end with a touch of citrus is very interesting. While Italian Love starts out like many citrus-based frags, it finishes complex. I can see where it could be cloying in the extreme heat and if you have a tendency to have a warm body temp, go easy on the sprays. You’ll thank me. My wife likes citrus freshies. When she first smelled it she commented that it “smells like some of the others” I own. Once it dried down after a couple of hours and my skin heated up, she asked me if I had sprayed it again. I assured her I hadn’t. She said “ well, it smells good.” ❤
Tried forever...like it but didnt buy it. Now italian love pop up and i decided to get it and its otw... Good chance that i will like it since its on the same ballpark as forever
I love Light Blue Forever and have sampled Italian Love. I love it too. They are very different from the norm. I do see why some people would not like these but I get compliments every time I wear Light Blue Forever. You are right about it being almost beast mode during high heat days. Something I tried though was this past winter during the 20 and 30 degree days I wore Light Blue Forever and it took on a different vibe. It was like an icy grapefruit when I was in the cold. It projected well(but not like summer time) and gave kind of a refreshing feel to it. I know people say it has a B.O. smell to(although I don't think it has that) during the winter time it takes a lot longer for the fragrance to develop. It was a interesting experience. I know winter time is a while away but if you want to try something different when cold weather gets here again try it during cold weather and try other summer fragrances to see how they do during winter.
Forever is a Citrus lover’s go to👌🏽 it has a very natural grapefruit smell to it. Italian Love is a more mass appealing fragrance. They are quite similar though
I'm late to this video but as a relative newcomer to the frag community with now over 50+ in my collection from Clones to Designer to Niche (with MANY of my purchases based on your reviews) I am blind buying this based on your recommendation before it gets discontinued (if it hasn't been already). I LOVE the Eau Intense version and just purchased a 200 ML back up full presentation for $69.33 at a discounter which was a NO BRAINER!!! I think the Grapefruit/Bergamont opening AND the more complex dry down will be right up my alley. I'm on the mailing list and I MISSED OUT on the Dior Homme Parfum release at Frag Buy (was busy at work). It sold out before I saw the email. I will keep my eyes open. Keep up the great work!!!
For sure has a unique smell. Kinda like Bulgari Tygar with less ambrox, once the opening grapefruit is gone its pretty much just a dry musky woody scent.
I blind bought Italian love and at first I wasn't a fan but the second time I wore it I loved it. I don't buy for compliments but they were coming left and right from women and men and I think it had to do with the heat of the day.
I'm new to fragrances and was in Ulta today smelling a bunch of them and holy hell this one stood out in the opening above all the rest. Even next to Light Blue Intense. Kept going back to this one. And you said the dry down is good too. Will definitely be picking this one up for summer!
I would like everything he said it is, and yes challenging because I don’t like grapefruit at all, so I damn sure have no Interest in smelling like one. Italian Love and Light Blue Forever are definitely not blind but worthy. Smell it before you buy it or you could have a fragrance that can compete with niche fragrances, that you absolutely hate.
Blind Bought Italian love and definitely liked it, but with it came a sample of terre d’Hermes eau Givrée...and that one, damn that's in another leaque (especially quality and performance)
Peace & Love forever is a instant classic any real fragrance person understands that but that new Valentino is the best release hands down this year it’s very different and unique but both these light blues are instant classics🔥🤐🔥❤️💯💯💯
I haven't pulled the trigger on either of these and u didn't make it any easier lol. I really enjoyed testing forever and I'll definitely pick one up. I guess it'll depend on the pricing and availability for me
After trying out both, I found Italian Love easier to wear versus Forever. I ended up purchasing Italian Love when Macy's had that 15% off sale. Today, Macy's had the D&G Forever gift set (with a 3.3 oz bottle, 0.33 oz travel spray and after shave balm) on sale for $69. On top of that, Rakuten was running a 15% cashback on Macy's so it was a definite cop!
I'm the opposite. I love Forever and so do my girlfriends. I bought Italian Love first, and took it back after repeat sampling in stores didn't go well. All the saleswomen in Bloomies told me they wouldn't want their man wearing Italian Love. The green notes screw up the grapefruit. My mother accused me of buying cheap cologne from CVS. When I wear Forever, I always receive a positive reaction. It packs a wonderful grapefruit punch that levels off nicely. I can't wait for next summer...
Exactly. Forever opening is a master piece but the dry down is a bit of a let down for me. Italian Love notes on the dry down looks more appealing, would like to try it before buying though.
Light Blue Forever is a unique scent for sure, but it's definitely one you only wear if you just straight up don't care about what anyone else thinks. The opening is just so sour and tart and it never truly goes away. It's not a smell for everyone, that's for sure.
I’m not a fan of Forever, so I know I probably not going to enjoy this one. I did blind a bottle and I’m starting to think about layering it with the Light Blue Intense version, maybe Club De Nuit Intense. Someone recommended Versace Lhomm. It overpowered that one.
A common complaint is that designer brands never put out anything new or unique, and when they finally do people complain that it's too hard to pull off and "smells weird." haha. Rinse and repeat.
Went into a Sephora a few days ago and got to smell Italian love and it’s a no for me dawg. Gave it a few minutes and even sprayed it on my skin and it’s just not a fragrance for me. Even my fiancé disliked it as much as I did

What's is BO ?
body odor as in the smell of sweaty armpits.
I recently got this from ulta because I missed the forever, but I like it when it’s first sprayed, I can’t smell it hardly but people love it
I got it last week. I love it.
Thinking about getting it .
The set is also on sale .

Are there any worthwhile clones of this scent, since it is no longer being produced?

How long do limited editions stay in production? Because I want to wait a bit to buy Italian love, but also don’t want to miss out.
i got it immediately after releasing but tbh i wouldn’t mind going thru a bottle and getting a backup right after it’s a good daily
At least a year
Usually only a year or so but they linger on aftermarket for a while (unless it becomes a cult favorite).
Thorough review, might have to check this one out! 💥💥💥

I never liked Forever, but Italian Love is amazing

Same here, I don't know if it's the bergamot but something smells like bug spray

Can you do a video on 3 compliment getters for each season?
I went out and bought this for summer but I didn’t know it was a limited edition and I threw away the box 😔
Forever's drydown was flat and boring for me so I have to try this one.

Bro good lookin out I got the forever yesterday for $66 that shit is on point
To me its the same as forever, might as well call it light blue forever ever!!
