6.5 years ago I bought in Turkey Istanbul this optimus nova + stove.
I used it for 3 years and then it died on me.
But, they way I am, carried it all this time...still travelling!
Thinking, I'm going or someone is going to repair it. I missed cooking on this thing so much. Cause nothing beats a fuel/benzin stove.
Today I almost orders a new stove 😐
But, my old stove in my head 🤔
I knew the problem was the fuel line.
Guess what... I FIXED IT!!!!
I'm soooo happy 😆
This is the best stove for me 💙💛
Best anime plot twist
Swedish Nova, 10 pumps, open valve for a second to prime, close valve. Light stove and while heating up to temp, 20 pumps, priming flame dies, open valve slowly at first and away you go.
Extinguishing, turn fuel bottle over until flame dies. Unplug fuel line, no fuel escapes.

Sir thank you. I’ve been watching almost all your videos for the las6 week.
Thank you so much for the kind words and support I really appreciate it! Welcome to J2K land... lol
Excellent video
Good video, good information on the stove. Now on to the comparison video between the two stoves.
Neat little stove. Multi-fuel a definite plus. Thanks for the info...
Thank you, this was fun!
Another nice stove!
Thanks brotha, I've got another video coming up with a classic
Jujutsu.
Just a thought are these parts all interchangeable with the two systems. Like the nova plus will fit the nova system and nova will fit the nova plus systems.
I am looking for one that will fit a tragia 27 system thats why i asked
Going to have to get one thanks for the showing you made me a believer so thanks
Nice stove you have there, very good information on it. I have a question about a stove, that my nephew bought and I gave him his money back for picking it up for me. Cause I am like you about stoves. I would like to show you a picture of it and get your opinion on it. If possible. Thanks again for all you do and show to us. I have learned a lot from your videos. Thanks Brian. Have a great week.
Thank you, if you need help feel free to send me email... jiujitsu2000@yahoo.com
Great video. Thanks.
Great review. Thank you
Thank you!!
Nice tip with olive oil👍🏻
JJ2K which stove do you prefer the Optimus or the MSR. I have the MSR I like it, but I like that you don’t have to change any jets on the Optimus. I may have to buy the Optimus and try one my self.
Thank you, I love them both, but here's a good video you might like... ruclips.net/video/wkHgULoh0_s/видео.html
Dang man, sounds like you can melt some lead with that bad boy, 👍
I bet I could!
@@jiujitsu2000 no bet required, I've used mine to do exactly that with an old cast iron pan. It worked a treat.
What is the quiet stove model 600? Never heard of it.
I have a question.
I have a optimus nova plus and when I use it something sounds like a ticking sound in the fuel bottle. Is this normal? I can't remember if I heard it before. Because I don't use it all the time. I just started to use it every day.
Hello, what has been your experience with the nova + until today?
Wow nice
I want one
Optimus Polaris is better in my opinion! ruclips.net/video/dNn9RpOpRq4/видео.html
You know I detected a bit of regret or breach of trust when you told us you had already used this product but I say how can you recommend any product without first trying the product so you do us all a favor by using first and then giving us your testimony about it, so thank you.
Thank you! I like these stoves so much!
Do you still use the Nova + and what do you think about it 5 years later?
I’ve had this exact stove since 2009. The ONLY issue I’ve ever had with it is the oring failed on the hose connection. Got a new one at a hardware store for $0.20. Hasn’t failed since. That was over ten years ago. Just used it after being packed away for five years and it worked great.
@@jeromebullard6123 Ok cool. To bad its discontinued
It looks that you are the best stove expert to ask. I have watched already a lot of your videos. I am looking for some expert advice. I need a stove for family bicycle touring to cook for 3 people. I would also love if it was a nice pack size like nova + and at the same time build to last long or something that I can fix with spares when it breaks. Could you please recommend a stove for us please.
Coleman 533
What’s the difference between ANOVA in a nova plus
The Nova+ has the flame control by twisting the fuel line the little green thing
I have videos of both stoves on my channel and if I remember correctly there in an Optimus playlist
Very good video. I have a Nova + but it is manufactured in Sweden approximately in 2006 or 2007, they are different from the new one in which at that time they were manufactured in Sweden, then they were manufactured in Asia, the coupling of the Swedish pump was the one manufactured by CEJN, series 141 coupling of excellent quality, just change the two internal o-rings and is as good as new. Another is that the new one has a round valve to open and close the fuel passage, in my case it does not because the coupling takes care of that. In addition the housing is made of stainless steel. Today it is black metal. Something that strikes me is that on the website of Katadin (which was the company that bought Optimus and moved manufacturing to Asia) is that this model is not currently on sale in that place. will it be discontinued? congratulations for your video, in my case my nova + has an optimal performance practically like the first day. Whatever you want to know, I can help if you need it. Greetings.
I had the old Sweden made nova and loved it. I have the Optimus explorer which came right before the nova and like it even more. I’ve tried it with every fuel and even alcohol and runs great! I wish the companies would still make stoves to run on alcohol stove fuel!
What’s the quality of new nova comparing to the swedish made one?Is the new still reliable and durable?
Yo Jujitsu. I have an optimus Nova. I just took it apart. ( just the jet out and bottom screw, ) re assembled it. Its spitting out suit. it gets all over my pots and stuff. Would you know how to deal with that ?
What kind of fuel are you burning?
I prefer the fuel control handle at the stove itself.
Did u change your camera don’t like the wide angle shots looks like your far away
I went out to shoot this video and the batteries died on my normal camera so I had to use a backup, had to use my gopro... I'm thinking about redoing this video at home as a tabletop type review
Nova is much more efficient and faster priming than Polaris.
I’m glad I thought I was loosing my vision
BUSHBOXESSSS!!!!
Oh yeah!
Sooo much time talking, so little info
I was sharing tons of thoughts. Thank you for stopping by!
Talking conveys the info, as well as demonstration. Good vid.
@@geezermann7865 thank you!
Do you prefer tnis or the coleman 508 or 533s? Seems to me if you consider you need to carry a fuel canister ae well then these stoves aren't r3ally much lighter than the Colemans...and are probably a lot less convenient
what did you end up picking?
