Hi John ;) Thanks a lot. I am still on my way. Currently staying in Medellin in Colombia. Working and collecting money. Normal life stuff. No adventure. Just software development :)) This Optimus stove is pretty god. I still use it. It is like a tank. Strong and noisy ;)

I'm wondering, does your travel partner have the MSR Wisperlite or the Dragonfly? I'm familiar with those two stoves and the Dragonfly is super loud - if the optimus is more loud than the dragonfly that would be wild! I'm assuming your partner has a wisperlite.

Selkirk Hi ;) He had Dragonfly and my stove is much louder. What can I say ;) It is hard to stay unnoticed.
