It kind of sucks it went under some abruptly. There really aren't any gaming mags anymore, at least for current games. Very fun to look over the first issue, thanks!
didn't know game informer has been around since right after I was born. I have a ton of gamepro ,EGM magazines from the 90s and early 2000s but not really any game informer until the early 2010s from gamestop.
@@mcdonkey500 The distribution was pretty limited in the early days with the small footprint of FuncoLand stores mostly in the Midwest and no newsstand sales like the other mags of the day.
I’m 42 issues away from having every issue, really hoping to find a good deal on Issue #1 one of these days but eBay has insane prices for it (the listings have been up for months and nobody is buying).
wow the end of an era. The writing is on the wall gamestop is next and then our hobby is going to get really weird in regards to physical gsmes. that first issue is awesome, would you ever get it graded
I say good riddance to the magazine that Gamestop basically shoved down your throat every time you visited their store. I can’t believe it took this long to die.

It's honestly not in great condition so probably not worth grading. Agreed physical days are limited at least at brick and mortar.

@@JohnnyD5 I have no nostalgia for the later years but feel it was pretty good up until around the year 2000.
