Eric's budgeting philosophy. Take the trip on a Sunday so they don't blow the budget on antiques!!! 😂😂😂 it's a smart man who understands his weaknesses!!!
A great day out for the whole family. Good to see Mara up and moving about. But she missed a trick of not making Eric stop for gas and munchies with an antique shop, near by.
Hmm, in the back seat, listening to music. I've seen that before - the last time my wife and I took our niece on a trip. back in my day, we had to carry a bucketful of things called "cassette tapes" to have as much music as they can have on one phone. Our streaming was something called a "radio," LOL.
Can't believe how big Abby is, I remember when seatcover was carrying her.. Since the wrecker bed sides are junk I would cut out the middle section and install it into the white bed. It's a bit of cutting but I'd have the full deck just inserted into the original bed.. that would be cooler then hell.. thanks guys for being here.
Good choice for Mara's rig. Clean, uncluttered deck and boom. I understand the weight concern. Back in my tow trucking days my preferred was the Holmes 480 with twin booms and winches. Was able to handle just about any situation I came across.
Hey BSF Family, That was a long trip, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do ! I hope ya keep that paint job on all of the boom parts, It is a good color to identify the rig out in the woods. Looks like Mara is doing better, good to see. I hope Abby will join Mara out on the trails when the rig is tow ready. She looks like a fun kid to have around, she is not afraid to show her face and she does not act like you are bothering her. Work Safe, Be Well Enjoy Life
looks good , I know it would add weight but I think the wheel lift would be nice on the wrecker too. if nothing else it an e used for anchor in the dirt while winching.
You're correct get all your parts together before starting any project. Getting parts is always the biggest battle of building any rig. Especially after the last 3 yrs of place shutting down.
I moved up to Little Chute WI back in October. My Dad and brother came to visit last week from Virginia. They were both really impressed with the back roads and small towns up here.
What did they think of the bars out in the middle of nowhere?? They don't need no stinkin' town to put a bar in !! Just any intersection of two paved County roads, kinda close to a snowmobile trail. Perfect place for a bar !! Only in Wisconsin.
Well this was a nice video of the Recoveryteam and it was a nice family outing even though it was a long road trip to recovery Myra's tow truck boom and bed. Nice to see Abby enjoyed the trip and got out of the house for awhile.😄
Road trips are always fun. Lots of things to look at and tons of new eating places you can try. One more part for Mara's tow truck. Actually it was a bunch of parts considering all the hydraulic lines and valves. Looking forward to seeing this project getting under way!!
Cool to see all familiar areas, 8,53, 29 The Truck stop has great food. A few miles down at Thorp Hwy 73 is a restaurant called the Thorpedo . They too have good eats too.. Might of had a parking issue there tho... And I saw that Wrecker sitting there for quite some time. Glad You found it. They are replacing the Concrete for another 5 or 6 Miles further from where You got off on 97. I remember when that was all new... Thanks Guys.... Mike M Wausau/Merrill
Cool, I live in Marshfield. Just south of stratford, You must have picked that up along 153 east of stratford is where I believe I had seen that parked before. Abbyland truck stop is good food there. Nice road trip for you.
Wow Thanks for an answer to my question in your video, I never expected such individual attention. As always I enjoy your content and what you do. Next question is are we going to see a doubler for your truck in the future so you can climb hills like the sluce in wrecker games?
Wisconsin is definitely god's country..... beautiful and peaceful scenery... My youngest daughter is going to Winona state and that drive is great drive. The way we go, we have to make a small jot into Wisconsin... I think it is kind of funny to see wooden road signs in Wisconsin. Minnesota does not have wooden signs.... kind of takes you back to the old days.
Chippewa fall it’s I see to see you made it through the 53 29 interchange 😂 you were a mile from my house I told would have cool up some ribeyes for you guys
It's not that I'll stop praying for you all or Mora's health and recovery, can we get a update on your Little Ladies health? Great find for her truck, "Seat Cover Wrecker" will be a great rig when finished. You are in my prayers Hoka Hey
Nice to see you at least getting parts for Mara's truck. Oh and hay compared to the little town of Orlando, OK I live in the little towns you showed on your trip they are thriving metropolis's. I don't have neither a gas station or store. Just a school and post office and some people and a few houses.
I appreciate your answer about the locked transfer case on your towed vehicles. I figured if I had waited long enough, you would get to answering it! 👍 I'm with your copilot on getting her truck going. You better stop for her every now and then for some antiqin'. 😏 Also, it will be great to see the Tucker going!
We came across a similar "truck stop restaurant" on our way through Nebraska. Great service and delicious food. No wheel lift for the new wrecker? Thanks for taking us along on the adventure.
I know where that construction zone is on 29 man that one sucks slows u way down drive over there almost weekly my company's out of merrill wi awesome videos man keep it up ( ps abbyland truck stop is definitely some good eatting and decent prices to
yeah ive been on those same roads ,,, the truck stop at shawano has good food as well ,,, yes thats a really long drive done it a few times ,,,, a couple more years and abby will need her own tow truck
Wheel lifts on that short of a Wrecker for off road recovery’s would not work good do to the height of off road truck and the wait on wheel lift takes away from front
Thought I would mention this to you on the snow cat I really hate to say this but the best money you can spend is they make a HEI distributor that fits the small block dodge they work great got mine from A-Team performance HEI013R
That's an interesting looking boom. You'll have to explain those tires on it. I've seen them on tow trucks, but I've never seen what they are there for.
Those tires are on tow dollies. There are "Cross bars" that go between the two sets of wheels. They are used to tow full time 4wd cars, or cars that need to be raised for some reason. Do a search for "tow dollies" for more info. For the kind of towing Eric does, those aren't really needed.
Those are for towing all wheel drive or full time 4wd vehicles on roads. You strap them under the rear wheels to get them off the ground. It's to keep the transfer case and transmission from spinning. With out lubrication they would be destroyed towing at roadway speeds. They are almost never used anymore because most towing companies use rollbacks now.
I would say leaving the front tires turning while you're towing it would also help it just easily roll over bumps and rocks or obstacles that are in your path as well rather than having the tire stationary and run into those things in cause possibly damage
What is your plans for the next " Wrecker Games " ? Are you planning to do anything different in modifying your wrecker ? I think to be more fair, each Wrecker Team needs to do more than just " drag " a car up and down the rocks. Maybe show off some retrieval skills where the least damage done to the towed vehicle wins. This would be more fair to everyone in my opinion. You guys have any ideas ?
Rotate where the games are held every year. Each team built their trucks for the area and terrain they encounter, which varies a goodly bit. Good to see how different trucks fare in different places.
You better check your tire dimensions sir. If everybody is overtaking you😉. I mostly drive on my gps speed. And still being overtaken😉 Never start working on boats. There its parts and measures to be determent during thr proces😉.

Eric, Mora and Abby thanks for sharing your trip with all your followers. We look foward to Mora's Jeep Wrecker taking shape. Stay safe 👍
That would be neat
I know..I remember being super young watching Eric on RUclips when Abby was a baby. Now she's a young woman and we are all getting OLD 😢
That’s a nice looking wrecker box Eric can’t wait to see this project get underway. Great video as always.
Good choice for Mara's rig. Clean, uncluttered deck and boom. I understand the weight concern. Back in my tow trucking days my preferred was the Holmes 480 with twin booms and winches. Was able to handle just about any situation I came across.
The good old 440/480. If you could anchor the truck well enough you could move the world with one of those

Looks like you had a good trip. You know Eric it wont be long and you'll be building a rig for Abby.
looks good , I know it would add weight but I think the wheel lift would be nice on the wrecker too. if nothing else it an e used for anchor in the dirt while winching.
You're correct get all your parts together before starting any project. Getting parts is always the biggest battle of building any rig. Especially after the last 3 yrs of place shutting down.
Its pretty wild to see Abby so grown. Doesnt seem that long ago she was in a car seat and seat cover was learning to drive the jeep in snow.
I moved up to Little Chute WI back in October. My Dad and brother came to visit last week from Virginia. They were both really impressed with the back roads and small towns up here.

@@haroldphipps3457 HAHAHHAH So true...
Mike M Wausau...
I'm glad you enjoyed the trip through my neck of the woods. Keep those vids rolling.
Awesome to see you guys starting on Mara's truck you should get a doubler in the transfer case like Roy's truck God bless and stay safe
Mara exuding her "inner Stephanie Tanner" with a generous "How rude!" LOL
Well this was a nice video of the Recoveryteam and it was a nice family outing even though it was a long road trip to recovery Myra's tow truck boom and bed. Nice to see Abby enjoyed the trip and got out of the house for awhile.😄

Great day with the family. And oh yeah, hopefully a nice score for the boss lady.
Thanks for sharing this trip with us, great to see Abby get a personalized sweatshirt and when does she get her own tow truck?
Cool to see all familiar areas, 8,53, 29 The Truck stop has great food.

I had to laugh at the irony that the wrecker bed says Challanger on it. Which just happens to be the same brand as the new lift in the shop.
Same tow boom as Paul's? ( Fab Rats )
Just another miller industries company now but they were good equipment. My rollback is a challenger
Havent see that part of hwy 8 in 40 years nice to see my old home area from 2500 miles away!
Wow Thanks for an answer to my question in your video, I never expected such individual attention. As always I enjoy your content and what you do. Next question is are we going to see a doubler for your truck in the future so you can climb hills like the sluce in wrecker games?
I grew up in WI that's one hell of a road trip👍
Hay BSF. I love seeing your videos. Great to see you in my neck of the woods in central Wisconsin
Wisconsin is definitely god's country..... beautiful and peaceful scenery... My youngest daughter is going to Winona state and that drive is great drive. The way we go, we have to make a small jot into Wisconsin... I think it is kind of funny to see wooden road signs in Wisconsin. This was without a doubt, a wonderful relaxing video trip to watch. It’s as if you are a friend inside, The cab 🚕 with them!!
Hey, Eric, cant help but think you planned this trip on Sunday just so you didn't have to stop at every antique shop along the way!😂😅 Sorry, mara!
That was a quick yes ftom seat cover for the wrecker bed 😂😂😂
I have been to that truck stop also. I have stayed there and took my 10 hour break there.
I lived in Wisconsin for a few years.... It's either two lane or dirtroads... Two seasons..... Winter and road construction....
the old tow truck parts are definitely antique because they actually work
Chippewa fall it’s I see to see you made it through the 53 29 interchange 😂 you were a mile from my house I told would have cool up some ribeyes for you guys
The little John Deere looks nice
Recoveryteam, What's so great thats its a Challenger just like your lifts. Get Parts faster. God Bless
Road trip for part's, great video thumbs up, thanks for bringing us along
Great video looking forward to this project.
Great video of getting parts for the new wrecker build!
Great find, good luck on mara's cool build .
Good old smooth Wisconsin roads I see
It’s been in the high 90s here in Tennessee man it’s hot
As robby says after checking chains, thatanot gong anywhere! Lol
But you are antique hunting! For Mara's tow truck!😆
Depending on the parts your after then you are antiquing. If the truck is old enough to be an antique. That means your antiquing.
Great Eric has Collins type dollies very useful
It's not that I'll stop praying for you all or Mora's health and recovery, can we get a update on your Little Ladies health? Great find for her truck, "Seat Cover Wrecker" will be a great rig when finished.
You are in my prayers
Hoka Hey
Central Wisconsin home of point beer!
Great add for tha rig, it's gonna be sweet...☆!!
Looks like mama's happy, ....😏🌺 that's the way to do it!!👍👍 thx 4 takin me along!!👋
☕🐢
Looks like a great buy. Omg how old is Abby now. Kids grow up so fast. She is a pretty a her mommy. Love you too eric lol. Love your videos

P.S. I was wondering about your thoughts about running electric winches on her truck?
Great video enjoy watching keep up the great work
Great trip thanks for sharing, that rig will be great once you get it the way you want it!
We came across a similar "truck stop restaurant" on our way through Nebraska. Great service and delicious food. No wheel lift for the new wrecker? Thanks for taking us along on the adventure.
Nice find. Good job. 😊
I like the old kiaser jeep m715 pick up trucks and they can always go play in the mud holes
I've been to the Abbyland truck stop a few times.
Small town America. I see that a lot as the RUclipsrs I follow drive around. 🇨🇦
A fine road trip. Thank You.
And I could've taking you to the antique shops that were open.
Yeah, they got lead feet, doing 80 to 85 mph & I'm surprised that you didn't get the stinger with the bed
I know where that construction zone is on 29 man that one sucks slows u way down drive over there almost weekly my company's out of merrill wi awesome videos man keep it up ( ps abbyland truck stop is definitely some good eatting and decent prices to
That should do the job, watching with interest.
Cool family trip guys thanks
Awesome job
yeah ive been on those same roads ,,, the truck stop at shawano has good food as well ,,, yes thats a really long drive done it a few times ,,,, a couple more years and abby will need her own tow truck
That road trip sure looks the much the same as in Alberta. Looks like Your about to copy same idea as Paul did with the Rat Rod.
11:41 Surprised you didn't keep the wheel lift as an option, just to have laying around in the yard, for maybe 🙂
Hey Eric will you need an NP205 and which side drop … I’m by where I got mine they may have another 🤷🏻♂️
I live in Nebraska and it is very pretty here in the northern panhandle Chadron
That thing is going to be so cool!!!

@@andrewforte Ahhh, that makes sense. Thanks.
Those are the wheels for the dollies. Look up Collins, dollies, and you'll see what dollies are.
Dang why didnt u take the wheel lift too? Especially if cheap as a bundle could of made a vehicle dedicated witb just that style
Needs a little tlc , would love to give you a hand but impossible from here in uk.
I would say leaving the front tires turning while you're towing it would also help it just easily roll over bumps and rocks or obstacles that are in your path as well rather than having the tire stationary and run into those things in cause possibly damage
If I would have known you were going by Hog's nephew for that wrecker body I would've bought you guys lunch.
keep the clips coming
Wisconsin is nice except during the spring thaw when your eyes burn, and you can't breathe without gagging.

Nebraska isn’t boring to drive through if you get off the interstate.
Gotta keep the ole wrecker going
Any idea on what drive tran you plan on using?
Truckstop food is pretty good eating
Great Video!!!
i would deffently use it..
Ninth from North Dakota 👊🏻💪🏻
Both wreckers are antique … y’all are going antique shopping 🤣🤣🤣🤷🏻♂️
You better check your tire dimensions sir. If everybody is overtaking you😉.
I mostly drive on my gps speed. And still being overtaken😉
Never start working on boats. There its parts and measures to be determent during thr proces😉.
Why didn't you take the undermount lift also?
bulky, heavy and lowers ground clearence on a true 4x4 wrecker
Eric did you do this on sunday on purpose😊
You ate in Curtiss you should have stopped at the amish grocery store, the cheapest peices anywhere
Your truckstop remunded me of mh pops...every time we came across a gaggle of attractive women he called it a smorgabroad.
I maintain the tradition.
Cool!
One step closer for ✨Blondie✨😊
Someones been riding the ponies it looks like!
Your in my area of Wisconsin I seen stratford Wisconsin
Hahaha yeah there is nothing to do in Nebraska or lowa and I want to get out of Nebraska again
