The chapter is called the Retributors, which were made as a fan chapter for the animation. They don't have much in the way of actual lore, beyond the fact that they are Imperial Fist successors.
Oh, give Games Workshop time, if they can make money off of something the fans do, they will without any hesitation, it's the same thing that happened with the Blood Ravens they didn't really have that big of a fan base until the Dawn of War games put them in the spotlight to where one can argue that they manufactured for the Dawn of War games.
@@dcohen1359 I wouldn't be able to tell you if they did or not, but I wouldn't put it past Games Workshop to manufacture lore out of thin air for the chapter.
if i remember correctly they forbid the creator from doing more animations and hired him. Obviously there have not been any content created since then because he was then part of the broken company machinery @@cursedhawkins1305
I would like to point out a fun fact from the italian localization of 40k: Bolters in italian are named "Requiem rifles" which seems very apt for the weapon
The concept of breaching torpedoes makes so much "sense" in the 40k setting it's almost unfair. In real life it would make a lot less sense, but when you have an army of angry fridge men and infinite war resources the idea of loading a torpedo with angry marines causing more damage than actual explosives sounds so freaking cool
I'm going to be honest live streams aren't really my thing between the timing and live mishaps, but... if it *was* recorded and uploaded then I would probably watch it on and off when I had the time. Long live the black templars!!! Long live the imperium of man!!! Long live the god emperor!!!
The retributers I don't remember much about the lore behind this chapter, but it's a descendant of the iron fists and they seem to take the job a lot more seriously and "black ops like" than most other flashy chapters. I do know that at one point the imperium thought they had been destroyed and started a new chapter in their likeness with the new astartes (the mars ones, I forgot their name) but then they found some remnants of the original chapter and combined their forces. There is actually some development art work you can find that describes backstory, ranks, and veteran status.
Just so you know the Primaris isn’t a chapter more like an upgraded space marine. Non primaris space marines can opt to ‘cross ten rubicon’ as its called but the survival rate is apparently low for them. @@ChicagoReacts
the two Sphere Entities are using their Spheres like we would use a Submersible to allow them to function in realspace the traitors were building a body for the warp entities to inhabit so it's not a Man of Gold
And regarding the two sphere entities, all we know is that they are warp entities. We don't know if they're xenos gods, a sapient warp-dwelling species, warp predators or daemons. All we know is that when the one drags the astartes kill team into the warp something attacks it, we just don't know what. There's a saying, "When the rabbit screams, the fox comes to investigate, but he does not come to help." As far as the planet the kill team winds upon, it could be hundreds or even thousands of light years away, it could be in the warp, it could hundreds or even thousands of years in the future or the past.
Chapter 4 is where the space marines fight the twins, and no space marine died. They just got pushed. The funny thing is you're not the first to think that. Chapter 5 is when he got it back after beginning hacked. Also the twins became that strong because one gave their arm the other their eye to be more connected to increase their power
Those SMs blasted by psykers weren't evaporated, they weren't even killed, pushed back and stunned at most - if those psykers were able to evaporate SM or kill one quickly, they wouldn't only crack the visor of 1st charging one after so much time and wouldn't be done by 2nd charging one either - SMs wouldn't even got close in such case.
If you let a giant space marine flank and sneak up on you, you deserve to die. The Marine wasn't even a brother of the Raven Guard either so its even worse. Speaking of the gloriously crafted Marine armor, Ive always viewed it like armor of the knights of old. Medieval knights were able to move relatively smoothly despite how clunky the armor looked since it was tailored to them, and like the Marine armor, was masterfully crafted
Apologies if you're already aware of this but on of the astartes gene seed organs I what's known as the black carapace. It grows under the skin. However there's ports visible on the astartes body. This is where the power armor connects directly to their nervous system. The armour and it's sensors act more like part of their body rather. This is why they're still so fast and agile despite wearing a large suit of power armor.
Helsreach and more TTS is never wrong, also it is fun seeing Kit exercise some proper Imperial blood lust ;-) As for a Helsreach live stream, I will watch if my schedule permits.
Ah yes. the famous Astartes animation. still it's a shame that we didn't get second one. i would love to see more of Yu'Vath. It's retribution chapter and as we see they work very close with Inquisition Psyker so highly trusted and could make great story. In case you didn't know orb is made by Yu'Vath aka something that even Mechanicus deem too dangerous and don't touch. yup those Mechanicus. Arch made great breakdown of ep5 and right after Yu'Vath tech video
Absolutely on board for Helsreach, I think I can speak for most guys when I say I cried at the end, just so amazingly well done and you could tell that not only was it made with love but despite time/financial constraints- Aaron Dembski-Bowden and Richard Boylan absolutely made it not only "work", but beautifully flourish with each episode both displaying more colour, textures, and effects but for the story to get oxymoronically darker as the colours brightened. Not to forget Jonathan Keebles' performance as Chaplain Grimaldus! "Goodbye Brother...." 😭 These damned allergies! 😭
Tip for personal reactions: Siege of Vraks by Arch is great for listening. 42 videos, 1st is over 1 hour long history of Death Korps of Krieg, a few are Logistics videos, and the rest is about the siege itself. A lot of fan art, tactical maps etc. He also made detailed series about Badab War, Few videos about Armageddon, and over aprox 77 videos about Horus Heresy books. And a Lot of specific topics videos, both 40k and WH Fantasy. :)
13:16 that satisfying "Ugh ... finally. Pesky xenos, waste of time!" 16:17 "How cold the room is." - Which is a bad sign Kit: unless you're walking through the sacred halls on Fenris, the area being covered in ice means that there's a warp entity nearby! 18:55 "Yea, gimme dat!"
I’m checking if you’ve watched Helsreach yet. It’s my favorite novel from 40K, I’ve had the same copy since its original print right after Rynn’s World! I remember waiting months for Richard Boylan to come out with each part!
@ImprovmanZero he said it on his official reddit page a couple years ago. He said he wanted something new and different for the enemies but the ended up being similar to the yu'vath due to lack of research on his part.
I don't comment much because any algorithmic, abominable scrying of the motive force of my actions causes quite a bit of discomfort. However, the emotional and artistic end of TTS that happened only because of circumstances thrust on the community is something I wish I could see as anything other than beautiful grimdark reality that stunted beautiful grimdark fiction
12:39 As far as I could tell, 5 of them went into the pod, 5 of them went into the warp, and 5 of them got spat out into the big boi graveyard! 😆So none died

yeah space marines are notoriously difficult to kill. The force pushes just incapacitated them briefly

Actually, all 5 Astartes survive this encounter. They are only being incapacitated, not killed
