It's sweet that Glam got so defensive over Victoria but that slap and the "sorry, you made me do it" reminds me so much of his dad. He definitely has traits he got from his dad whether he wants to admit it or not. That was a really neat subversion of the near death experience meeting a loved one trope. Usually the dead loved one says "it's not your time, you must go back" and it's the near-dead person who wants to stay. This time Chive realizes on his own that he's not done and it's his mom who just wants her son back and is begging him to stay.
I don't know if this has anything to do with it but I think chives mom is pulling him in because she's selfish and wants him dead and that's just her putting on a act

I'm glad how this show handles drug addiction. Chive just wants to be happy, get over his mother's death, get over his failures, and he can only find that by getting high. I can't wait to see Chive and Glam talk and reconnect... Also, Glam is 100% Neurodivergent.
Interesting fact! In the Russian version, at the beginning, where someone from the family hangs a key on a nail, there is a song in ENGLISH and when in the English version it is in Russian!
in one of the episodes Ches was playing cards with Glam, Vic, Dee and Heavy, he looked pretty smooth and relax, maybe that travel to heaven changed his life

The creators said that they always knew to animate this way, they drew with that style before in the old series on purpose.. just to make the series come out quicker.
This is easily the best Chive Episode. Its sad to see his sacrifices not being reciprocated by Glam. And It was even sadder to see him fall back into his addiction when he is hurt by his partner. He really is a tragic character.
This is the first animated RUclips series I’ve ever been interested in and omg. Now I understand the struggle of waiting 500 years for another episode.
I love how they build on from the story going from glams past and how he met Victoria, to chives past with glam and how they met, and how the story represents all their ups and downs, god I love this series.

I like how in the first parts and when Chive/Ches is in the hospital (10:55) or gets the fame he wanted (11:07 and 11:19), the electric guitar is louder and the violin is somewhat softer. This signifies even though Glam's presence even he is not there/is not with Chive/Ches, it shows that Glam meant it when he said that he hopes Chive/Ches achieves his dream and in a sense supporting him even when Chive/Ches doesn't see it . But once Glam is on screen (11:25) the violin gets louder, it signifies Glam's presence and this time he IS there. I love how we have actual musicians working on this. Because nowadays, The music world especially its toxicity (Constant Competition, Low wages, Teammates that you don't care about/mistreat you, a manager that expects so much of you, etc. Etc.) is shown very badly and very shallow in media. I'm glad that musicians are working on this which will give us a more accurate depiction of what the Music field is really like. Just a few of the many reasons I love this series (Writing, Music, Voice acting, etc.)
So this answers my question if Glam ditched Chive and the audition to look for Victoria. Admittedly I was upset that he would abandon his friend like that, but then I remembered that in the end it worked out for everyone and Glam and Chive are still best friends. In fact, this was probably best for Chive.

I like how Glam slapped Chive (but it was quiet) defending Victoria. A bit like how Victoria did the same thing for Glam when in episode 7 when Annie said to Victoria while arm wrestling with Buck, but she was about to lose, so annie shouted "f#ck off to your blondie" and she got pissed off about it.
This show cuts really deep, especially due to how similar Chive's past is to my own, every time he is on screen I see myself, even the ending scene where he overdoses and then comes back from death has happened to me about 7 years ago when I was 20 years old. I definitely want to see more of Chive.
A few days ago my friend shared me a reel which was the music video of how glam and victoria met, the reel had the stupid reel-esque bgm and the show was not credited, ofc I found out about it through the comments. I searched up the show and ended up binging the whole thing within a few hours. It is truly amazing how within a span of a few hours glam and chive became super memorable characters for me. Also I'm lucky to have found out this show when this new episode was around the corner, I can only imagine what the fans since day one have been going through waiting for new eps. Point is this is one hell of a show and my god do I love it.

i just watched everything from season 1 episode one to now in one sitting, and i am just in awe not only in storytelling/plot but also the animations/capability to show emotion. I mean this with every syllable i highly anticipate seeing more of this series. Great work all around here!

WOOO! NEW EPISODE! I love this series! I prefer the original (untranslated? Non-dubbed?) version mainly because Glam's voice just fits so much better. Though I prefer English-dubbed Chive's voice to his un-dubbed voice, oddly enough. Just something about how the voices pitch, tone, and cadence seem to fit their vibes I guess. Love the build up on Glam and Victoria. Glam's change in demeanor as soon as Victoria was insulted felt right. Looking forward to the reconciliation between friends, as well as more Glam and Victoria progress.
This truly made me cry. Change is scary and more so when friends have different goals in mind that may not include you. I’m really happy that in the end chive does get some kind of happiness but GOD CHIVE DESERVES THE WORLD AND SO DOES GLAM 😭😭😭😭
This story just gets better and better with every episode. The artists and voice talent are excellent. This is 1000 times better than anything broadcast on mainstream TV. I genuinely look forward to every new episode, Thanks to everyone involved in this great production.

i just watched everything from season 1 episode one to now in one sitting, and i am just in awe not only in storytelling/plot but also the animations/capability to show emotion. I mean this with every syllable i highly anticipate seeing more of this series. Great work all around here!

i’ve been watching this series for a few years now, to this day my fave show. it’s so fun to watch how everything came together and i love how we get to learn about the casts pasts after seeing everyone in the present. it all comes together so well.

WOOO! NEW EPISODE! I love this series! I prefer the original (untranslated? Non-dubbed?) version mainly because Glam's voice just fits so much better. Though I prefer English-dubbed Chive's voice to his un-dubbed voice, oddly enough. Just something about how the voices pitch, tone, and cadence seem to fit their vibes I guess.
Love the build up on Glam and Victoria. Glam's change in demeanor as soon as Victoria was insulted felt right. Looking forward to the reconciliation between friends, as well as more Glam and Victoria progress.
