I love the wardrobe selection in this video! 🤘🇺🇲
It's real john hours.
Of course you would free advertising
I did like that T shirt 👕 he was wearing
if Kevin and mook made a kid, it would be john.
@@phr3dmcc0y Thats both weird and funny at the same time😂
Please save that sled. They are becoming super rare. There is a cult following with these old John Deere’s
Eighteen Meenie Greenies were hospitalized after witnessing that smoke cloud. Good job. Keep'em comin.. Thanks.
Some how I'm getting the feeling John is going to have a bunch of barns filled with stuff at some point. Juusstt Like grandpa. LOL LOVE IT!!!
probably full of snowmobiles. aint no problem with that ! unless you see one one lmao
The first liquid cooled sleds were called Brut. They were made in my home town of Brooten Minnesota in the early 70s. From what I hear from the old timers that had them they were the fastest thing around while they ran which usually wasn’t long. 👍
Fun Fact: A guy in Paynesville bought out Brut snowmobiles and used a modified version of their liquid cooled engine to build jet skis called Wet Jets, which the design was then later sold to Mastercraft Boats...Ed Webb is his name, and he owns Koronis Parts, which still manufactures vintage snowmobile replacement parts...
That sounds brings back fond memories of my 440 Trailfire. I miss that machine
I had the trail and liquid fire they both served me well. The liquid was my favorite.
I've been brushing up on your channel by watching older vids. You are pleasant to be around and you're a great mechanic. Like your stuff man!
John doesn't have a snowmobile problem he can stop whenever he wants.
I love the intro. xD
This is the content i like the most from you snowmobile revivals not many people do this stuff Kevin does mostly bigger stuff like cars trucks the small stuff is how we all start out on every one of us had a old sled or tractor go kart etc that always ran like crap but it ran it and it ran enough to have a ton of fun and when they broke we would fix them no matter how ugly the fix was we didn’t have the money or a daddy to bring it to a shop or fix it for us some of our dads helped us learn but mine made me do all the work but I learned alot from him and im super thankful it was like that
Most people swapped out those grouser bar tracks with a full rubber aftermarket ones early on. That one you found is amazingly un touched! So much of it is original and fairly nice. I know it was a free sled, but I sure would like to see you fix it up properly. Those things were made 30 mins from my house in Horicon, WI. Love the content, keep it up!
If the belt sections of the track are ok, all you need are the grouser bars. I would think they would be available from somewhere. I always liked those steel bared tracks as they dig good.
The cleated tracks dug good, but man on ice or hard pack they slid like crazy sideways..
The content I subbed for.
I'm Canadian and have never remotely looked under the hood of a sled so anything helps. xD
Thanks for the effort to bring us along.
The 303 rotary sled you and kevin did is the reason I got into vintage sleds. Thanks man
I've never owned a snow mobile but I still like them, I rode One years ago with a friend what a blast. Thanks John good to see more videos coming out. Would eventually like to see you do a collaboration with JYD you guys are Hilarious 🤣 together.
I grew up in Horicon Wi when they were making these back in the day. Best friends dad work for John Deere in town (executive) and every fall they had 4 brand new snowmobiles delivered to their driveway for the to use for the winter. I was so jealous.
Is that nearly 30 snowmobiles including the parts machines or nearly 30 “good” machines? Either way that’s an impressive collection
Early 70’s first liquid sled. Also known as Brut. Bought out by scorpion I think. JD, nice find.
Throw some round stock in the inside corners of the cleats and weld em up. See how it holds up. Great video.
Saturday, January 29, Elk River MN- 2022 midwest vintage ride in! John Deere sleds featured, 50 years of John Deere! If ya ain't there, yer square! I have a '76 model 300 you can ride if you have the balls to show up! :)
I love that liquifire! I owned one many years ago, and what an excellent runner. Smooth, quite powerful for the time, but kinda heavy and not very nimble. The 78 was there one to have of the 3 years they made them with that engine. It had slightly better rear suspension and seat than the 76 and 77s. Also 78 was the only year with the small radiator in conjunction with heat exchangers.
Enjoy the snowmobile stuff. Just got a 79 Kawasaki 440 running and I'm looking forward to trying snowmobiling for the first time.
I love your videos, wish you would post more often haha. You and Jyd are the perfect team.
Old john Deere snowmobiles are great. I have 4.
I'm here to support the mullet that is to come back.
As a Canadian I like to use a hickey stick in the clutch to break free sticky engines🤙 Keep up the love for the old iron brother!!!
My gf from Minnesota just got me a hockey stick for Christmas ill have to try that out 😂
It might make for some good comedy that actually works lol My dad said it was easier on the aluminum clutches than a steel pry bar but added more torque than the pull cord. I enjoy the work you do and all your good hearted energy even when shit goes sideways. Keep at the grind and stay humble sir🤝
I love how the dogs like oh?? Its running??? Nice.
i love vintage sleds. i have a 1979 panther that needs a lot of work but runs good. that liquifire is a sweet sled.
I love free especially if it’s in good shape like this. Engine is a good way to make a whole machine !! Lol.
Lol all that smoke when you were trying to drive it out
Came here hoping to see more of that savage mullet. My dreams have been shattered!!!
Not acceptable in the force.
I love how everyone checks the last tag when someone legally trailed a orv or snowmobile lol 😂
I don’t remember the last time dnr caught me ridin dirty, probably since my enticer days !!!! Haha
Grind Hard Plumbing Co turned a sled into a reverse trike by replacing the track setup with a big long swing-arm and some quad wheels on it, I've always wanted to do that. Nice sled, it sounds great!
Major points for the Atari! Even looked like a 2600!
Snowmobile content, the entire reason. I subbed to this channel. Hope you start working on more of you're collection or start trading some up.
I've watched Vice Grip Garage, Mortske Repair, Puddin's Fab Shop and Junkyard Digs and Mook and this is the first time I have heard the term "hyper lapse". I have never expected an advanced vocabulary on this channel, which was further reinforced with the hat being worn at the beginning, but was pleasantly surprised to see someone talking like they might actually be from Nebraska.
Excellent video Golden Rust & Bust get 89 or 91 octane gas in to any small engines work too and track are interchangeable too if want know ! Antifreeze on sled should be 50/50 mix with water and Chain Lube is track oil right name ! Fix upper too!
Glad to see you took the muffler off. No backpressure from any debris inside (especially from sitting)
26:53 THE POPS THEY ARE SO PERFECT
Love your videos all the way from the UK, keep them coming 🤟🏻
Junkyard Digs needs to hire you!!!!!!
Hes friends with kevin lol
Chain Lubricant is the term you were looking for, lol. Or as most people refer to it as Chain Lube. Loving the revivals.
Yea Jeremy rhydes is a awesome channel...so is Akproxr. I'm glad to see your still doing videos, keep up the great work 👍
You and digs should all band together and use the shop to work on their projects, so u can use his tools and stuff. I’m sure he wouldn’t mind if u have him the idea. Would have been nice to ultrasonic that carb.
Had an 80s Liquefire 440 as a kid in the 90s. It was a going machine until it wasn't...
Being from the Gulf South, I have no knowledge nor need of a snowmobile but I do enjoy watching you bring them back to life 😎
Keep up the good work and hope you have a great New Year🤘👍🇺🇸
First start In forever first pull Nice
Junkyard diggs sent me Like yer work homie.Keep it up .
SANTA CAME ON BOXING DAY! LET'S GOooooooooooooooo!
I was wondering if you quit making videos, but apparently RUclips just unsubscribed me from your channel. I love the content and your humor.
Absolutely love this guys love for Life! Keep it coming!
It never snows in San Francisco. So in honor of our first snowfall since 1976 I'll watch this video. Not enough for this to be practical in the city but the surrounding hills are all white right now
It’s nice enough that it’s worth putting a track in, or making new grouser bars with c channel from farm n fleet
I’ve found filling the bowl with vinegar and leaving all the jets etc. in there overnight is one of the best ways to clean that style of carb
Great content. Keep it rolling you are entertaining man.
Nice stach, although you looked better during the Busch race RV revel in KC.
Great vid, I got a 76 liquifire they’re quite the machines to work on
Looks to be in decent condition. Not too many Liquifiers that decent left.
Pullstart cord handle.& keyswitch ignition.& sparkplugs.& your lever handle.
Big John “ SEND IT” 🤣🤣🤣
I save the bowls from the healthybowl TV dinners. Idk why people would throw away those. Other than my family your the first person I've seen to save them aswell
Awesome video. Just watched one with you and your grandpa.. He's awesome do more videos with him. Are you gonna finish the mustang ?
I like printing up fake labels of PB Blaster and stick them on cans of spray foam, and then leave that on the shelf at work for the next guy to use.
Haha once you get into vintage sleds you can’t stop acquiring them. I have the same issue and between me and my dad we have around 50.
Thanks again for a nother video!! Keep it going
Awesome my friend
My friend had a 78 LF John Deere fast as fuck couldn't keep a track in it had a cleated track so much power in 1983🤘
I could smell the bad fuel from here 🤮 nothing worse than old petrol . Good job getting the old girl running . Damn those carbs were dirty . 👍👍👍🤘
Omg that old fuel in the carb looks yummy
My best friends brother bought one of these brand new. Was one of the best Sleds we ever ran. Very Fast for its time The only issue was the carbs. They needed to be set up just right!!.
I'll let you know if the carbs start acting up thanks for the comment 😊
Awesome video. Can I have the CRT is your garage?
Obligatory comment to help your algorithm. But seriously cool old sled. I had a JDX300 back in the 80's lots of fun memories racing around our little town.
Hey thanks for the comment some one gets it 😂
The intro was hysterical.
Yet another great vid :-) You are braver than i am tasting prehistoric fuel lol. Keep 'em coming.
My mom and dad had 2 John Deer 600's, bought them brand new in 1973
Holy Hell he's BACK YO!!!!!!!!!! Merry Christmas by the way buddy.
Hey merry Christmas and happy new year
Hi from new Zealand
Great work John probably be worth it to fix the undercarriage
Nothing runs like a deer 🤣
Hope you had a nice Christmas
I did have a nice Christmas I hope you did as well thanks for the comment
ALSO- you had the engine out.. popping off that clutch and the flyweel and changing the crank seals was soooo easy. But ya didn't do it!
That song almost qualifies as subliminal messages. I just can't understand what website it keeps repeating.
Many a John Deere sleds were parked due to the cdi boxes. It was their worst downfall
I had a 1978 Kawasaki 440 Intruder, nice sled, but my buddies JDL would beat me all the time. They were fast sleds for that era.
Runs like a Deere...
smells like a John.
Happy new year, buddy. Good lookin' hound, BTW.
Happy new year stay safe God bless 😊
The true test is to taste the antifreeze :P Also you may have got PB stock from Asia the way that thing squirted.
We're looking for good police officers here in Wisconsin. Saw it on the news and thought of you. specifically GB area, Kaukauna etc.
Lmfao at the Intro so hilarious 😂
Awesome video & work brotha!
yo junkyard digs gotta get a nice old sled and u guys gotta come up to Maine and ride on my 310 acres

Don't give up John your chanel's is just starting to take off you got this RUclips stuff down.
Nice pick
PB Blaster should sponsor you
Bring the mullet back🙏
There's a guy in my area selling a sled with big balloon tires on the front I'd like to see you do a video on something like that
I hope you find an undercarriage for it, it sucks to get that far and have it running good to find out it has a bad track.
something about jay lenno of snowmobile collecting 🥰
