    • @LaPorshe
      @LaPorshe 4 месяца назад

      @@evelina.episodes Sadly, this blame on Black women is just a scapegoat or a cop-out. For Black woman to question & tear down another Black woman about hair, it truly proves that it’s a Black woman against the world. The disgusting projection and over criticism other Black women put on other Black women is coming from a place of jealousy & envy. If you truly love how you wear your hair, then wouldn’t have the slightest bit of care of the next woman. I styled my hair all kinds of ways and added hair and wore wigs and styled those too, it takes practice and talent, but I found it insane to ever think that someone was obsessed with their weave or obsessed with their natural hair. It sounds like ppl who wear their fro or natural hair feel less than because they themselves don’t know how to do anything else or because they actually have self-hate.
      There’s plenty of Black women who do anything & everything to their own hair. Remember, products that actually for our hair is extremely expensive & limited. Either way, we have to pay the high cost. $200 for a human hair wig or $200 for synthetic braids or $200 for locs or $200 for a silk press or $200 for at-home haistyling (every 3 months) or let our hair get matted up then pay $200 to get it detangled. Other women wear human wigs (look up “hum wigs” here on RUclips) and also weaves & wefts. No one bashes them even when their hair isn’t matching, not blended/applied correctly, or it thinned their hair out. I’ve noticed cheaper wigs are geared towards Black women, not all “human hair wigs” are truly human hair. The high-end human hair wigs are marketed towards non-Black women, and they don’t have Black women modeling those wigs either. I think those wigs shown in the video are going to these high-end wig stores where celebrities, Hollywood or even non-Black people shop at. I wouldn’t blame Black woman for that, blame the Industry and their ethics, because it’s very likely we might be bamboozled with fiber wigs rather than actual human hair wigs.

    I am a Christian African woman. I am 26 and I’ve been convinced 9 or 10 years ago that wearing another person’s hair is not ok. I was a junior in high school and I was mocked but I was sure I had to lay down the relaxers and weaves (I’ve never worn wigs). I do not wear synthetic braiding hair, either.
    1) God didn’t create me with silky straight hair but with marvelous kinky hair. Rejecting my hair type is telling God He made a mistake. When He made man and woman to complete Creation, He said it was very good (Genesis 1:31). There’s no mistake or ugliness in kinky coily hair textures. It was designed with a purpose and should be seen as good hair. Period. I felt ridiculous and clownish wearing another woman’s hair but that’s what’s normal in black communities, unfortunately.
    2) And because hair is very spiritual. It contains all of one’s family spiritual history because it has DNA. That’s why some people collect one’s hair to cast spells on them. Some people can read into hair strands because it gives spiritual info about the biological owner of the hair. In Juges 13-16, Samson was strong because and his spiritual strength was in his hair. When Delilah cut it, he became weak. When it grew back, he got some of that strength back. Hair is not to be played with. The donors may have curses or diseases of a spiritual nature in them that are casted on the hair when cut so spirits get attached to it. And when you put that hair on your head, spiritual doors are opened whether you like it or not. The spirits have spiritual legal right on that hair and on whoever decides to wear it.
    3) Hair is connected to the head and not everyone is supposed to touch your head. I do not let just anybody, not even a pastor, touch my head. Same way someone else’s hair should touch yours. Not every hairstylist or braiser should do your hair : some of them are very wicked and use the hair that shedded during the styling process to do witchcraft. My mom has always been very cautious about who does my hair, to this day.
    I am the same with clothes. Even if I was to wash secondhand clothes, I am persuaded that it holds spirits attached to the previous owner(s) and it hold their spiritual power, if they have any. Paul’s handkerchiefs and aprons were used to heal the sick and deliver people from demons (Acts 19:11-12). The spiritual power that was operating in Paul by the Holy Spirit was transferred onto things that belonged to him and that he touched to help people that weren’t even touched by Paul. Now imagine what DNA in hair can do when it touches your scalp.
    Not everyone is a Christian and not every Christian has the same opinion on that. That’s just my perspective and personal conviction.
    Outside of my spiritual beliefs :
    4) It is not ok to rejoice in wearing raw hair or whatever when there’s clearly sadness and helplessness attached to this situation on the donors’ side.
    5) It is a billion dollar industry built on black women’s hair insecurity/dysmorphia. And these billions aren’t going back into the black communities’ pockets. It doesn’t do anything for us but send the message that we have to rely on another race’s hair to be/feel beauty or to be presentable. That doesn’t sit right with me.

      Took the words right out my mouth ! 2 months ago the holy spirit put it on my heart to start taking care of my own hair and to stop wearing extensions or any hair pieces that wasn't my own. My hair has been growing and flourishing and I just love doing my own hair now. I tell ladies that hair is not to be played with because we don't know what those people do or pray to their God's about when they ship the hair for women to use. We are in a spiritual warfare in this hour, and God is warning us to be cautious about everything and anything we put on our bodies and in our bodies. Evil Spirits are in EVERYTHING, and yes they can be used in something as seemingly insignificant such as hair. This was beautifully said. Thank you sis !!!

    Hair is so incredibly spiritual, and is a direct connection to one’s mental state, life journey and general health. Not taking care of your own hair or loving it is a sign of spiritual bankruptcy. This is not for ppl who have health conditions that effect their hair. It’s for the ppl who are so afraid to authentically be themselves so they go out of their way to justify being someone else. There’s nothing wrong with switching your look up but to be reliant on someone’s else hair and identify with it more than you identify with your own is saddening. Anyone truly on a spiritual journey would know how ridiculous it is and saying you simply just wash the hair multiple times sounds like spiritual bypassing.
