Natural hair is superior. Not an opinion just a fact.
The hair that grows out your scalp ..does that for free. It's pretty, beautiful, better for your body, health, cheaper to manage and does not contribute to exploiting poor women in various asian countries.
Synthetic hair is plastic. Many people, myself including at one point install braids and yhrow away the hair. The plastic hair that contributes to the climate crisis we have. Plastic does not decompose and if you're black girl addicted to braids and live in them only. You're throwing away money monthly on something that is harmful to the planet. Wool braids are better. Synthetic can also have harmful chemicals and then the emissions to ship them regularly to buy them.
Relaxers can cause cancer and burn bumps where you have alopecia
Wigs and weaves thing your edges. Exploits poor women and girls. Makes you hate your own hair (since most wear straight hair). You get an indent on your head from the glue. The lace is visible and it doesn't look good and makes you a victim of wig blindness.
Excessive silk presses makes you look basic. You blend in you dont stand out. You get less compliments. Heat damage and breakage. Thinning. You can't go out in the rain.
Natural hait is simply superior. No exploitation, no cancer risk, no chemicals. You're unique, you get so many compliments, you can go swimming, run in the rain carefree and you actually like what you see in the mirror

@@ariannawilliams6040 oooooh the blending in with the crowd is the most visually jarring thing about straight wigs and relaxers/silk press.
When I walk around my black shopping area, everyone is wearing straight hair in some form. They blur together that I can't tell them apart and my brain doesn't want to anymore. Same edges, same makeup, same fashion THE SAME. Black women LOVE and PRAISE assimilation, so they don't even realize they have sucked any uniqueness out of them and just another buss down on the street.
But tell me why I still can vividly remember a natural with a cute hairdo last year? Cause natural hair is exotic and unique. Superior.

You’re right. I feel more empowered than my late aunts & mom who all wore wigs daily for several years. As they aged - their hair all fell out from lack of air & care.
One hot muggy time these 2 biracial women came wading into the water. They stood in their shorts & t shirts bragging to their ‘white’ moms of how happy they were that they both invested in straightening their tresses. Then they looked ‘shocked staring down on me enjoying the water. I was not burning up or sweating terribly. But doing my favorite hobby - swimming! And they couldn’t! Like Doja Cat - they self hate on natural hair. Even w/ permed hair - I suffered from frizzies and breakage. I won’t go back. Still learning to deal w/ tangles in my 4a-3c hair. Its crazy that BW say our hair is difficult when other races of women have to wash, blow dry, and detangle their hair every other day. Some times every day.

I remember seeing little girls on relaxer boxes wishing my hair was straight too ( because i was not only fascinated by straight hair but unbearingly tenderheaded and id be getting burnt, getting my hair yanked and everything on washday and detangling was HORRIBLE and it would take the whole day to do my hair ) and when we would be in the beauty supply i would pray my mom would get the relaxer thinking it would make my hair straight like the girls on box and i would be pretty like them and it wouldnt hurt to do my hair anymore . And id be so disappointed when id look at my hair after we used it just to see my hair was still curly. whenever i would get my hair straightened I'd always have my peers touching my hair telling me how pretty i was, saying "wow do you like your hair straight or normal i like it straight better" and i never knew what to say. And at that time i had waist length hair ( but because its 4c it was only that length when strengthened ) my mom straightened my hair one time for chruch and some elders thought it wasnt my real hair and criticized my mom asking "why did you put extensions in her hair" so that didnt happen again😂 when i was little straight hair was the standard and it was only pretty if they looked shiny and "bouncy" like Shirley temple curls but now i see that curly hair is pretty as long as its not 4c. Or 4c hair is only pretty if its long. Thank you for making this video. There was a black woman who attacked me in the comments and then blocked me because i brought up black womens self hatred when it comes to wigs and weaves. She literally told me i needed to look in the mirror and go heal because i told the truth about how black women cover up their natural hair with wigs because they dont like their own hair. Lol
You can tell by how defensive and triggered these types of black women get that them wearing wigs and waves is deeper than just hair. They do not think their natural hair is beautiful at all.
I also think its more so black culture thats causing this problem and not white society. We want to blame racism but the truth is majority of the negative comments come from other black people.

My natural hair is having a hard time getting long so I can understand the pain these girls have. I have tried everything I needed to and it has been the same length, til today. If someone says that natural hair is
difficult, understand them instead of going
against what they are saying because it has been a struggle for me as well. I love natural hair, but not every women is going to feel the same way about their's and that's okay.
It's not self hated. People just don't like hearing the truth from women's perspectives and that's really sickening. I feel like you should stop getting offended when black women talk the struggles of their own natural 4c hair. It can be relatable.

No one is "policing" black women. Black women exist in a world with other people and people are going to have an opinion of the people, places, and things around them and that includes black women.
The same way black women are all over social media giving their opinions about men, women, white people, politics, food, hair, relationships, etc.

Not necessarily. When it's self hate is when you exhibit texturist or anti natural hair tendencies. Wearing straight hairs just to try something different is not self hate. There are nuances to this.

I agree with you about the over dependence, but we must also talk about how people have mocked black women over the years about their natural hair. There is also the issue of texturism. Though we should just let black women do what they want with their hair, I think you touch on health issues and overdependence on wigs. Also, the instillation of such wigs and how women might opt out of wearing wigs that match their natural hair texture.
