wakfu is a french animation series that came from a mmo. Also a series of dofus came out as well it was supposed to be something that happen 1000 years before wakfu I think.
Wakfu has around 3 seasons with season 4 in production with the help of a Kickstarter that got around 1.5 million euros. There are also 3 shorts set in before the events of Wakfu as backstories for 3 characters. And between season 2 and 3 there are 3 specials that are a must before watching the 3rd season. There is also a movie called Dofus set about 200-400 years before the events of Wakfu and a few hundred years before the Ogrest's chaos (Ogrest short introduces him before the stuff he caused)
