I'm in my first DnD group at the moment, and last we played we had our first proper combat session. I got to see for the first time what my divine sorcerer healer can do in a fight - not even against something she had specific benefits against - and... Well: I did like the second most damage in the session, right after our fighter who rolled godly stats. My only attacks were two castings of Shatter. If that's what a solid AoE spell will do normally, I can't *wait* to see what a radiant AoE will do if we ever encounter undead.

The life cleric giveth, and the life cleric taketh away. The war cleric mostly just taketh away. The tempest cleric does whatever the fuck they want because you really don't want to be on the wrong end of a max damage lightning bolt.
