Imagine finding your the last person on earth. Nobody is dead, they’re just All gone. After years of surviving with nobody to talk to and a usual silence you wake up to hearing this sound being played afar but even if you try to get closer to it it just gets more and more faint. Eventually the sound disappears entirely and you never hear it again.
After some years, you see a businessman in a suit with a briefcase. Every time you see him, or it, it walks away. When you follow it, you hear the song. After exploring, you can find a TV hidden.
And then you hear a baby crying for some reason.

I every time see that g man face staring at me with no soul
I came into the one of the dark rooms and I stayed there for about 15 mins ,every time this song begined again ... It felt like he's standing behind me , with that soulless look on he's face ....
From that time I never played g mod alone again , and sometimes at night when I go to bathroom and I look into mirror I see his reflection behind me , and now my biggest fear is that all the radios will stop and play this music in a loop
I tried to forget ... But it's impossible
I just hope that I will never be in any abounded place if I would saw a radio there I would run with the feeling that he will catch me anyway

I finally slept . It was the best sleep I had in my life
I just woke up , the door to this room it is finally open but I can't move he chained me to the wall ,he is teasing me giving me hope and then taking it from me . I knew I shouldn't have slept ... Now there is only one way out...
(The basement this note was found in was empty although there were visible signs of dried blood on the floor . Police will continue to investigate the area hoping to find the individual that was held in this basement against his own will . It's possible that this case is connected with the weird disappearing of people in the town Alton but as for now there's no evidence supporting this theory .)

Parents of the missing teenagers pointed out that most of them before disappearing couldn't sleep at night and supposedly heard footsteps around their room and bed .
All of the missing persons where spending a lot of their time online which leads us to believe that maybe the kids told someone they shouldn't have where they live but investigation of massages found in the teenagers computers didn't show anything .

Upon closer investigation of the missing persons' online behaviour police investigators found out that every person that went missing played a game called Garry's mod. Investigators suspect that something might have happened while playing on online servers
Upon contacting the company owning the servers the police learned that nothing that happens on the servers is archived this obviously meant that further investigation of the game is pointless.

This video starts with who think to be Harry opening the game "Garry's Mod" , he selects a map to play on and starts playing , nothing out of the ordinary happens until the 3rd minute in which some minor corruption can be seen and then the video cuts to black.

This video is highly corrupted an we weren't able to review it's contents but we think that it's just a clip from the game "Garry's mod".

This video is different a lot from the first one , this time we're greeted by a black screen nothing happens for 16 and a half hours , after that time mark red text appears which reads as follows "[Redacted] this is where I live , My name is Harry Wallen I'm going to go missing today , I don't know where I'm going to be , where I'm being taken but I think I'm going to be much much much happier there ." We believe that this video wasn't made by Harry but rather the person that kidnapped him , one of our analysists pointed out that the length of the video 16:38:21 is the exact time Harry was reported missing.

This video seems to be some kind of memorial for Harry Wallen , the video is 6 minutes long and shows photos of Harry with his family and friends, they are all described as "My old life" . Near the end of the video a photo of Harry sitting by his computer is shown with the description "My final moments" which we think can indicate that Harry spent his last moments playing on his computer before being kidnapped.

When I listen to this I think about how dark Half-Life really is, in the surface it's just a normal fps.
But if you think about it and go deeper, you start picking up on little things that help the dark atmosphere this game has.

A lot of people seem to think there is some kind of hidden message in this song. There likely isn't. The song is simply a fusion of two stock sounds called " distorted trumpets" and "is that the door", sped up, and given a radio filter.

Dahkittydoonsta It just occurred to me that there are some additional sounds added into the track that sounds like intercepted radio frequencies. A woman-like voice can be heard at the beginning of the track. However, I still suspect any message discerned from it is just a case of pareidolia. Where in people are finding patterns where there are none. I can certainly hear the voices, but I can't say that they are saying anything meaningful. To me, it sounds like unintelligible rubbish.
I can hear about five words or excerpts spaced out from each other. All words appear to be just one syllable. The fourth and fifth word appear to be repeats of the second and third word, as they sound identical. So, any sentence people try to discern that is more than three words long, and contains a two syllable word like the name Gordon or Gman, I don't see how they possibly came to that conclusion, unless they have confirmation bias.

And that's before we get to the bigger question of how the Gman even got his space-time manipulation abilities in any case.

The second one which is the one we play has 2 layers, that the first one is the FPS and the other one is the less dark world that you can find around (ravenholm, the stalkers...)
Ravenholm is the most in tact chapter of the beta, but the HL2 game we know didn't become less dark, it just focused more on gameplay, all the fucked up stuff the combine does is in the background.

The world of half life really is one of the most depressing worlds in games, this ambient yet very apparent noise just sounds like forgotten sounds of the old world, scrambled together like multiple times and places mashed into one thing, it's hard to describe but it just feels like its telling you "there is no hope, the world is dead" without having a single word in it, its genuinely genius how valve approaches sound design.
at the start of the audio you can hear alyx on some sort of a inter com speaker thingy and it sounds like

then there are no longer any sounds of a human or talking.
In Portal game it doesn't make you feel comfortable either... Both in same universe ofc but also there Chell is the only human known alive by that point. Definitely scary to think of as well... This is all everyday's common affairs for him, not some tirade of terror, he doesn't care all that much, truly, Gordon holds no bigger value to him than any other person who could prove to be useful enough to him such as to "help" him reach his "objectives", whatever those may be. That's exactly why Freeman gets replaced with Alyx, he wasn't suitable anymore, so off he goes, just as soon as someone else takes his place, willingly or not.

The fact that they don't even bother explaining what the hell happened between 1 and 2 is what makes this one of the greatest game series ever. It leaves you with a frightening sense of dread and wonder as you aimlessly propel your way across a desolate city and countryside occupied by otherworldly beings of unknown origin.

@@Evzone1821 The docks may not been in ocean but on some other big lake (Maybe the kaspian sea?) We can't really say, because we do not know where HL2 takes place. Our only clue is "Cyrylic writing country in eastern europe" and there's about seven of these, some have access to the midterreanear sea and some the Kaspian sea-lake. Both of which could have level different than the ocean itself, since it would take a tiny dam to cut out Midtereanear sea from ocean water (something that dutch are very likely capable of doing).
