I’ve been using Otterbox defender for years and love them. However the new one I got for my iPhone 16 pro has 2 issues which are not the fault of Otterbox but rather the phone design. First as mentioned the camera button cut out That gap is annoying to me Second because of the location of the camera button they could only put the attachment point for the holster on one side not both like before. So wearing the phone on my belt on the left side puts the release to the rear instead of facing forward. Makes it difficult to manipulate. I’ve had to rotate the belt clip over so the release will face forward But that makes you wear the phone upside down If it makes sense and if it matters.
Camera cutout has to be that big in order to use the zoom slide function, it’s not Otterbox, it’s the design of the iPhone, otherwise you would lose function of the slide to zoom.
Hopefully down the road they release a better version with less of a big cut out for the camera button. That exposed area is just a shatter waiting to happen.

With the Otterbox Defender XT case it is a real pain in the ass because you have to put the phone in upside down in its holder or it will fall out because of the stupid notch to access the new camera button.
