I sometimes edit videos as a hobby (although I don't upload them) and I am still using a version of Final Cut Pro from 2007 on my MacBook & iMac! Will have a look at getting DaVinci Resolve and see what it's like... there's probably much better than the old software I'm using haha. I've subscribed to you dude to help support you. Good job man. @@CareraDrift Arminius had been living in Rome for many years. He had fought with the Roman army in Asia Minor. Augustus had him sent to Germany with Varus because he knew the local language and had the task of convincing the Germans of the good intentions of Rome. He was supposed to convince the Germans to Romanize and then civilize themselves. The Germans were always at war with each other and lived as primitives. If they had joined the Roman world like the other Germans of Western Europe, they would have civilized much earlier and Europe would have been united much earlier and there would not have been 2 world wars. Probably Varus did not do a good job of integration of the Germanic populations he met. Arminius perhaps betrayed Rome for this reason but also because he understood that he could become the head of those tribes after having reunited them. What I do not approve of Arminius is that he could have chosen to leave Rome and side with the Germans in a declared way and then declare war on Rome by fighting a real war. Instead he took advantage of the trust of the Romans to take them into an ambush that cost the lives of many women and children who at that time were walking with the army. He behaved exactly like a despicable barbarian and showed that he had understood nothing of the process of civilization that they they were carrying. In fact, Arminius had to overcome the Cherusci to Romanize himself, instead it was he who was convinced to return barbarian.

You talk like a slave. Arminius was a German and not a Roman. He was abducted to Rome as a child and romanized. Back in Germania, he realized that the Romans were hypocrites and aggressors who oppressed and plundered his people. Ultimately, he committed himself to his roots and to his people. He fought for his people's freedom from Roman oppression. He is a hero of my ancestors.
The Romans civilized? Just because they were more technologically advanced? The Romans raided, murdered, enslaved and plundered other peoples. They had people fight and kill each other in their arenas for their entertainment. The peace they supposedly brought was the peace of a graveyard. The Romans were the real barbarians.
