    Dude, thanks so much. I'm half- having a panic attack thinking I ruined my controller when I only had the springs in backwards. Just know even a decade later, you're video's still saving people's asses.

    Thank you so much for this simple to follow awesome video. My R2 and L2 triggers were not working properly because I had no idea how to put the springs correctly. I was able to correct the placement of the springs after watching your video. Keep up the great work :).

    Ommgggg, Thank you SO MUCH! Seriously! I was having issues with my L2 and R2 not feeling right and not as springy as they should be... and I could NOT find a video on youtube that showed in detail how the spring should look until I ran across this one. I took my controller apart again, and I apparently didn't have the spring situated just right the first time, but I corrected it, and it works perfectly!! Liked, Favorited, and Subbed!

    Dude thank you so much. I almost just went to buy a new one but I discovered that my R2 was missing the spring. I found it on my floor, put it in, and it works as good as new. Thanks :D

  • @sidsc19
    @sidsc19 12 лет назад +1

    You take the spring out and then pull both the loose ends towards each other. The mechanism is such that it tightens everytime you press the L2, R2 button, but it loosens if the springs are moved. So tighten them and place them right, should be okay

    I actually put the triggers back at a different angle the first time i dissembled my ps3 controller to fix the random button press contact issue. When i put the controller back i noticed that the triggers ware a bit different but thy worked just fine only extremely sensitive to even the slightest touch. This video helped me thanx.

    Check the pivots that hold the R2 button in place, one of them might have slightly cracked putting the button off course when it's pressed and sometimes it slides out. It's hard to notice because the back of the controller is holding the button in but it might not be hitting the sensors properly.

    I recently accidentally broke my R2 button cover, so I bought a new one and mounted it in. Unfortunately, during disassembly the L2 button popped off, but I stuck it back into place. Now, both send random signals and both return to around half the way after being pressed (in both problems, mostly R2, but also L2. Any advice? Thanks.
