    Love the Lazair Dale. I have many fond memories flying one. I owned one for many years with 100's of hours flying trouble free. Thank you for a great design. I regret selling mine, but someday hope to own one again.

    Great airplane to fly, purchased one of the franchises for Lazar back in the seventies with the promise of floats within the year. Never happened and other ultralight aircraft with floats took over our market area. Lost a lot of money, but still a great plane to fly.

      Not really. The downward angled ruddervators are an amphibious design fail.

      ​@@erickborling1302 The Lazair makes a great float plane. It has worked well for the last 43 or so years.

    Dale Kramer, are you still developing the elazair engine conversion kits? We have a few lazair pilots here in Aus that may be interested just a big point atm is the price of batterys and over regulation by casa,

    Imagine if the pontoons were inflatable and could be deflated for reduced drag in flight and re-inflated for landings.

      Easier said than done. This has been tried by others over the years, maybe I should put my mind to it and make a video of the process, whether I succeed or fail....
