Great review but you do list lots of cons which makes it very hard to want one. Waiting for Netflix and Google certified Level 1 android box with 32 gb of disk space, usb 3.0, gigabyte lan and 5g wifi. I know I am asking for a lot, but people will pay more for a quality android box vs one with limited features.
What about the tx1? I have a TX95 with s905x 16gb rom and 2gb ram and i want to buy later a new tv box to watch RUclips videos and play media files with kodi, what is a good box?
Now there are persons with knowledge about these things that I may not be aware of. If you possess such knowledge on how to check and confirm that the OS is real or fake, make it available in these comments and let's have a discussion and discovery about it. However as far as I know I can't confirm either. What I do now is that according to Android's a new standard version 12 now requires hardware to be 64-bit, so I'm wondering if there is a bit of what you are claiming taken place even with the few Android 13 models we have seen. It's a great topic for discussion.
@@tvboxstop too bad! The Homatics box R 4k plus is exactly the same. I ordered the nokia 8010 and I am Just very curious how it compares to the other boxes. Got it cheap for 90 euro (95 dollar)
Just about everything about this box screams avoid like the plague. If it is designed for streamers then lack of gigabit ethernet is bad enough but when you also consider that WiFi is only on the old 2.4Ghz channel, then streaming is highly likely to come with lots of frustrating buffering. 67C temp at idle is way too high and indicates that it will get much hotter under even more basic load. DRM lacking (expected), no Bluetooth, only 32 bit Android and more It just isn't worth it, even if you are dipping your toes into the Android TV box market.
people should stop talking badly about chines boxes we use chines phones lol with no trouble its cause they are pushing to sell the tv os stuff why wont the tv os have decent specs compared to a chines rather then use scare tactics anything now days is tracking your habits

I would go with the W2 running on the Amlogic chipset because it's the better hardware.
