To celebrate the release of the Red Hot Chili Peppers' new album "The Getaway", I'll be counting down the Top 7 RHCP guitar riffs of all time!
It was tough narrowing it down to 7, but in my opinion these are the 7 most recognisable and popular guitar riffs the Chilis ever came up with!
After the count down I will run through each riff step by step with annotated tabs!

Nice video content! Forgive me for chiming in, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you heard about - Rozardner Stopping Sounds Reality (search on google)? It is a great one off product for how to instantly slow down music by software minus the hard work. Ive heard some decent things about it and my old buddy Taylor after a lifetime of fighting got astronomical success with it.

In Can't Stop you have to mute the strings too, like in Scar Tissue, and hit all strings with you right hand. Sounds much more with the Frusciante's style
Agreed, but for the sake of beginners I thought i'd show them the riffs in a simpler manner. The frusciante mute is tough for beginners. :)

Love this video, just see 2 small issues. Snow has a different last set of hammer on pull offs the second set. Watch a video of John and you'll catch what i mean. And by the way the second run through has a different one too. Not dogging you out by any means, just something I noticed while watching

very helpfull
with all due respect, i've just found another easy way for SNOW song which is you just tune your G half down, and then you put a capo to 4th fret, finally you use the same tabs but change every Gs one up for example instead of 4 use 5 ( or 1 relative to the capo on the 4th)

You can play anything you want on a les paul haha. John frusciante uses a strat for most of these, but he's been seen playing les pauls on stage too.

this is a Gibson Les Paul Studio, but as many others have pointed out, RHCP typically is played on a fender strat, but I didn't have one at the time

Yeh definitely! some of his earlier solo stuff is genius! My old band played a festival in Melbourne where they headlined in 2013, so got to see them live but no John :(
Whoa. That explains why you are good in playing guitar. RHCP and John's music just have saved me a thousans times. But for real, I'm just a newbie in playing guitar. I don't even have my own guitar. Hopefully I can buy soon. I researched for the guitars that Frusciante used but the price seems impossible to attain. Hihi. From the Philippines here.
