I got the same truck for my birthday when I was a kid. Luckily, I still have it and it is in pretty decent shape. Thanks for the video, I always enjoy your content.
I watched the other guy who does the Tonka Restorations and I would much rather have you restore one for my. The Love that you Exabit and your Attention to Detail and the Accurate way that you Restore them is more Important to me than his Butchery. You use the right Rivets and he uses Pop Rivets, You use correct restoration Parts and Decals next time I find one in a Garage Sale or Thrift Store I will be buying it and sending it to you for Restoration. But if I find a 1960 Pickup I'll want it to be like the one My Father gave me on my 7th Birthday. Love your Collection.
Alweer, de liefde en zorg die u besteed, leidt onvermijdelijk tot een prachtig kunstwerkje, om niet te zeggen, een juweeltje. Ik zoek nog meer van uw video's, want deze zijn een lust voor het oog.
You continue to amaze with the restoration you do to these old toys. You saved the hubcaps this time and Ido think that the nickel plating is always better than the chrome powder coat. Original techniques are the best.
I enjoy the nickel plating, I just ordered a full caswell plating setup, should give me better quality than my homemade setup. Thanks again for watching!
I discovered your channel yesterday and I've been watching the videos. I'd like to attempt one. I drive tow trucks and while watching this video I had the idea to do one, but leave it with some battle damage and maybe do a diorama. OoOoOOOooh 😁😁😁😁 I hate when my mind gets carried away.
Great restoration. I would have liked to see you repair that tab that broke off? It would have been interesting to see how you were able to do that. Is there a reason that you didn't paint the lenses red on the top of the hoisting framework as was done originally? Was that not an original painted part?
Thank you for checking out another video. Trying to improve them each time. Eventually I will go back and re-edit the first videos to be shorter. I agree, they are longer than what my attention span is for sure.
Thank you! Stay tuned, once I get through this batch of restorations I will do some custom colors. There are soo many awesome powder coat colors that I want to try!
Thank you! Great attention to detail! The front bumper was actually originally black. However, the paint had flaked off, you can see a very little bit of the original black on the top of the bumper and the back side.
I;m gonna be controversial and say I wouldn't have gone the whole hog with this one. Polish up the light surround and bumper and add the missing parts, that's all it needed. I think you may have decreased the value by going too far on something that didn't really need it. Nice job if you want them pristine.
Thank you soo much for watching! Its tough to want to restore many of these, I like them just the way they are most of the time. However This is really a hobby for my own stress relief, therefore I really don't mind loosing value on them. I try to find toys that are definitely in need of restoration. This one was the 5th tow truck that I bid on in an attempt to buy, so it wasn't exactly what I wanted. However I really wanted one for the video intro. So I made do with it. Thank you for watching. You are soo right with your comment, I agree with you!

You should paint the frame boack
I'd like to see you paint not powder coat a Tonka, not many of us has a powder coating set up. Very nice and one of my favorites too.
Thank you soo much for watching! I'll keep that in mind, I'll need to do some additional practice to get the same quality.
