Still because of this people enter into friendships leading people on for reason of "marry your friend" and the result often times is heartbreak. Now, let me say at this point that it is very possible that your friend is meant to be your life partner, God does that. The crux of the matter is surrender to God to guide you; he may take you to the known and it may be the unknown like Isaac. Again, in a case where the person isn't your friend, but that's God ordination, you get to understand each other building friendship as you journey. Finally, the reason why we must not work things our way is that we don't know tomorrow, only God does; the person you consider your friend today may change with changing times. God's leading is ultimate and He helps you build lasting friendship whether or not you were friends before, and for the records that statement "marry your friend" literally has no biblical stand

Why did you put Apostle Orokpo and Apostle Iren’s short clips together? The message they were passing when they both said, “it’s not marry your friend”, were different. If you are putting one, put one. You cut out a good chunk of what Apostle Iren said which could’ve given more context to that phrase.
But Jesus is my lord, and He’s also my friend. Nawa for these people oo. This is recipe for disaster. I actually relate with Jesus as a sweet friend; this is my exposure and background. Love comes with respect (not subjugation). These legalistic people have destroyed many things in this world. God please have mercy 🙏
