Battery,ram,hdd etc..removed from samsung np270e5e and reset bios. It does not fix this boot problem. The mainpower cable, should it be disconnected as well? Thanks

It also works for me. It was impossible for me to access to bios. Wasn't able to recover with the F4 command. I turn it off, I open it, I connect the reset pins, and after another try... victory !!! I had to disconnect the hard drive, wating the pc to ask me to press f4 for recover, and then plug the hard drive again before pressing it. New screen and I was able to enter the bios from there. Disable safe boot, and tadaaaa, Now I can boot from a cd or a usb stick. Thx a lot m8.

Eu estou com um probleminha no meu note samsung NP270E5k.
Ele acende o led do power mas não liga. A memória é a placa Wi-Fi são soldadas na placa-mãe. Já limpei os contatos do HD e verifiquei que a pasta térmica está ok. Como resetar a bios, via placa, se esse modelo não tem a bateria da bios para ser retirada por 20 ou 30 segundos?

This way will reset the bios in factory default ? I tried to do it with a NP300EC but without success. I still can't access to the bios with the F2. Any idea ? Even when I take off the CR320 battery from the motherboat, I got the same issue loop on starting and no way to enter inside the bios.

Hi, a question, I have the NP270E5E-k01mx model, the problem I have is that I can not change the boot order, only appears a choice of boot, windows boot manager, despite having disable UEFI and the correct parameters in my notebook. My conclusion is that the bios is locked from the manufacturer. With this reset can fix and let me see other units start? I hope you can support me if you know the subject. regards
. yes, boot order have errors on this laptop model and I think a hard reset of bios will fix thisalso you can try to keep power button pressed for 60 seconds and remove any power source of your laptop before do that

i try use Windows 8 recovery for enter to option of "UEFI FIRMWARE" but no show this options in the cd of Win8 and Win8.1.
I TRY reset the bios whith this metod and you "hard reset: keep power button for 60 seconds", but still same.

Hi, I think you need to delete all partition on your HDD then try to install Win8 UEFI mode. If this fail, you must do a hard BIOS reset then try to install win8 again.

There are 4 pins. I have tried with 1-2 (Up to Down) and reverse... is confusing the video. =(

Hello Web2beFree , I was trying over and over again and did not give me solution , my laptop is Samsung NP270E5E - K01MX , I disassembled the laptop and I reset the BIOS as you put it in your video, after that try the method of Hard Reset, pressing the power button for 60 seconds and apparently started differently but still will not let me continue installing anything, in the device options boot only I get the network option , after making the Hard Reset have to have the DVD W8 on the laptop ?, or without the disk still works the process ?, otherwise, the laptop lets me access the BIOS and move more options as I said, do not let me select boot devices other options , I hope and I can help with this , I would greatly appreciate it .

Hi, I don't know what to say, try to reset bios again and leave laptop battery on it. You can access reset pins without disassemble all laptop, pins are visible if you remove Ram cover and Ram dimms

Hola, una pregunta, yo tengo el modelo NP270E5E-k01mx, el problema que yo tengo es que no puedo cambiar el orden de booteo, solo aparece una opción de boot, windows boot manager, a pesar de tener UEFi disable y los parámetros correctos en mi notebook. Mi conclusión es que viene bloqueada la bios desde el fabricante. Con este reset se podrá solucionar y permitirme ver otras unidades de arranque? Espero puedas apoyarme si conoces del tema. Saludos

I had a problem with the password of windows 8 on a NP270E5E-k01ar notebook. enter the bios and disable the UEFI. For q had to boot from a usb with windows live with a program to launder pwd Administrator user.
I could boot from the usb. But now I can not boot from the hdd with windows 8. And I can not access the bios by pressing F2.
Try to do the hard reset does not work. The bios is not clean. Not even the bios reset date. Remove the battery too.
I hope your help to activate the UEFI again.

I have NP300E4E That refuse to enter Bios setting, it always stuck at (All boot options tried.........),. When I disassemble the laptop I saw the pins and followed as you described but up untill now no luck.

despues de haber iniciado con un windows 8.1 sin disco y reiniciado para entrar a la bios, cometí el herror de donde se pone "os mode selection" dejarlo solo en CSM OS. hice todo el procedimiento para resetear la bios de desarmar toda la laptop y conectar los pinos 1 y 2 y no reinicio la bios a lo original, incluso la deje todo un dia sin pila y nada... que mas puedo hacer???

terminé llevando la pc a un conocido mio que tiene conocimientos mas profundos de electronica y con un aparato resetió la bios, es un flasheo que nos e hace por software y si por hardware y fue la unica solucion...

@@SunsetRacer I think it happen because residual static electricity / flea power, I already try flea power resolve issue with press power button without battery 5seconds, 30seconds, 2minutes, but still not work, after that, I brought my laptop to repair service, then they said my motherboard died,

Trying to fix a NP300E5E which has ransomware on it. This is a great video, thanks for posting it!
Shorting pins 1 and 2 which have RST next to them on the PCB have no effect the system. I see the Samsung logo and an option to press F2 or F4... no change in behavior on these key presses, the system restarts and presents the same menu.
Anyone have ideas?

What I did : I disconnected the HDD, waiting for the computer to ask me to press on f4. insert the HDD, then pressing on F4.

não deu serto no meu not
esta pc tiene un terrible problema con uefi. la solución mas sencilla es actualizar la bios. yo lo hice arrancando un windows 8.1 desde el usb. para ello utilice el programa wintousb y una vez funcionando el so desde el disco externo, corri el programa que provee samaung llamado biosupdate.exe o updatebios.exe no recuerdo puntualmente si el nombre es uno u otro. luego de la actualizacion automática de bios, el sistema empieza a funcionar correctamente y se puede acceder al setup de la bios.
Pero la Notebook no Bootea desde los puertos USB!
Gracias amigo por la solucion, como vi que no booteaba el pendrive y tengo el mismo error de todo el mundo hice algo esutpido deshabilite todo en el gestor de arranque de la bios y deje solo el pendrive y lo deje en modo legacy ahora no me quiere encender, no puedo acceder a.la bios porque no no me funciona el f2 ni el f10 y solo puedo bootear windows 10 desde un disco ssd booteable y lo peor que no puedo actualizar la bios porque la bateria del noreboolk esta muerta y para actualizar la bios me dice que tiene que haber un 30% de bateria, que horrible esto xD
