It's good morning comedy hour when you tune into Mark's channel. Thanks for your content, always informative, non-bias and entertaining! Keep it up Mark.
SmallRig makes great gear. I have the SmallRig RC120B light. I love it. I own a few Aputure lights, and love them as well. But, these two new lights are definitely on my list.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Cool, thanks. I always try to shoot in the shade anyway. It’s just me doing talking head vids for my history students and my church. Nothing professional-but I still want it to look good. I also want to use it with a lantern indoors for more ambient light (like Gerald Undone does). That’s why I would like the bi-color option. Thanks for the help…making me spend buttloads of cash!! 😃👍🏼
I'm somewhat disappointed that the went with a cable connected controller instead of smaller/lighter IR credit-card sized remote. Those are smaller, lighter, cable-free and faster than firing up an app (in most cases). But other than that, this looks like a decent lower-cost option for those who aren't already invested int he Aputure ecosystem.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Thanks for the quick reply Mark and the heads up. Understood, I just purchased another c-stand that arrives Friday. I thought you had found something 😂. C stands are tough to beat.
Unfortunetly for this price tag I prefere Aputure 600D. Lets hope SamllRig lower ther price for RS450D and they will have a client like they already have on 120 and 220D/B.
Hi Mark, love your channel, I have a question, I want to do video podcasts, I need 3 camera setup, currently I have A7C 24mm gm, and I have 2 iPhones (14pro max and 12 pro max) should I use iPhones for now or you suggest to get 2 Sony ZV E 10 with 16mm sigma?
Yes it’s cheaper and a bit brighter but you can’t use v mount batteries, you can’t use it without the fan turning on, and there’s no wifi connectivity, no yoke mount, and also limited power connectivity to 4 pin only
RC220 has no protective glass over it's LED, turning color Kelvin needs one-more step tho it got 2 dials, and the dial knobs are vulnerable - already broken one.

Thanks for measuring without Reflector. Impressive, i Wonder how they get the same brightness with 150 Watt less 🤔
That outside shot looks so good with the light that it looked green screened
Do you think the bi-color 450 would be powerful enough to use outside also? 😬
I would say yes but on a bright day you might need some shade

In SPR Spielberg chose the Bleach Bypass process in the film/ celluloid developing process. It makes skies look like that.
Hi Mark, thank you for sharing this. Could you please also share how you building your new studio from the scratch 😀🥰. Thank you

Smallrig has the pricing down. When you showed the light outside was that the stand that came with it?
No that was just some stand I had. I would recommend a c-stand for a soft box that big. I took a chance!!

Another video, another card-swipe opportunity. You’re killing me, man…
haha - its a sickness - we all have it
Nice review. The hyperlink for the Smallrig light registered only part of the entire link. I copied and pasted the whole thing for it to work.
thanks - fixed
One more thing for the Christmas list! 😂
My list is far too long at this point
The 600d pro is weather sealed. What is the rating on the Smallrig light?
definitely not weather-sealed - the 600d pro is a nice bit more money - but if you need the weather sealing it is definitely worth it.

Yeah - I think they should drop it by a couple hundred to make it more compelling
Just bought the godox m600bi cause the smallrig price wasn't worth it
Yup just looked the price here in France is almost the same as Aputure etc. They will have to do better for the price>
Hello, I wanted to ask you something. Does ZV-E10 record gyro data on 50mm 1.8 OSS lens? or on 50mm 1.8 FE version?
it will record gyro data with any autofocus lens. but you must turn off stability - OSS will stop the data from being recorded
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis oki sir :D Thanks :) Big Fan!

I would do the zv-e10’s to match your A7C. Of course you can always use your phones, but I would do the cameras if it’s in the budget
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis thank you for the advice Mark, love your content
I don’t need it…but I WANT it.
story of my life

yup - that’s why it’s cheaper for sure
RC220 has no protective glass over it's LED, turning color Kelvin needs one-more step tho it got 2 dials, and the dial knobs are vulnerable - already broken one.
And the AC cord is not lockable, even with additional purchase because it's mickey shaped, unlike desktop PC's power cords
this is why I say the smallrig lights are more for studio settings - less rugged than some higher priced options
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis But a key buying-factor compared to Amaran 100/200 is optional Battery Plate!
Plus WELL-MADE carrying bag
spielbergs sky is obliterated, but not in the same way that the compared shot is. As far as the separation goes
I mean his shot is still useable of course - but the point is he made the choice. not trying to say my shot was useable 😀
Output is impressive, but looks like pro-sumer quality. Not built to be moved around from set to set each day like a 600D is
I would agree with that
Happy thanksgiving
You too
No VMount is crazy? Looks like Aputure A lot better.
I can appreciate what Smallrig is doing for the budget filmmaking community but damn, physically this light looks terrible! 😅
haha - I liked it!! Different stokes I guess. I thought it was handsome.
@@MarkBennettCameraCrisis Yeah for sure lol Maybe I need to see it in person as well. Also I suppose the performance is more important
My $100 Casio watch has bigger screen than this $1000 450W Light.
