The thing that always bothered me as a kid was the fact that none of the other students put up a fight. Like, I'm pretty sure that the students could easily gang up on Royal Pain and the evil students.

Dude, one of my old coaches was the best guy that I've ever had as a teacher. He taught me that you don't need to be the top 10% to succeed and that even those people have flaws... So kinda the lesson this movie is supposed to teach

I see his personality change as him trying to project a “don’t mess with me” image at school, he’s the son of a villain in a hero school, he has to either play the anti-hero/bad boy or be bullied to oblivion, it’s a “hit first to not get hit” mentality. The restaurant on the other hand is part of his mundane life, so he can be nice there(like in the scene where plant girl sits in his table: he doesn’t dislike her, but he’s worried about his badboy reputation)

Shark-Boy and Lava-Girl. It’s one of the worst superhero movies. And the sequel is about they’re children.
I never thought Warren working at that restaurant implied he was ethnically Chinese in any way. My older brother (who is white and looks particularly "black Irish") also worked in a variety of restaurants as a server/busboy including a Chinese restaurant and picked up some "Kitchen Spanish" and "Kitchen Chinese" (I can't remember if it was Mandarin or Cantonese, but _probably_ Mandarin).
It was Cantonese, and yeah I thought he was just working there because he was poor, mostly probably because his dad was a villain.
I think this is a normal assumption in real life. but it's a common trope or device used in movies to denote ethnicity. Cuz I initially thought the same thing as you, until they pointed out that possible intention and the fact that he spoke Chinese. Movies and other forms of art (like literature) often simplify aspects of ppl to help to audience understand their characters. This was probs meant to subtly imply he was Chinese but honestly, idk.
@@ggundercover3681 I probably should have clarified this, but while he did speak Cantonese, it was sort of in a talking back to your boss kind of way, mocking what they say back. His Cantonese was absolutely terrible, and you can tell he didn't know how to actually speak it. Unless that was his best try(which it was really bad), I can say that he either isn't Chinese or if he is he never learned it.
@@ggundercover3681 I thought he was working there because it was a family business and owned by a relative of his. I guess I just misread that into something in the film, if they really didn't provide any evidence of him being Chinese.
@@cmdrwilmot2696 I also thought it was a family restaurant thing and who he was talking to was a relative like a grandma or cousin, I guess with them talking about how his dad was in prison I just inserted him living with other family. Also with how nice he is in the restaurant, like who would ever be nice too, and the name of the restaurant "paper lantern" which felt like a kind of tongue in cheek thing. Maybe I was just overanalyzing.

I actually know of a story in my family about this. My mother's cousins got into a car crash and one of them, Mauricio was stuck underneath with the car on top of him. The others had a rush of adrenaline and managed to lift the car off of them, despite being only teens. He's still a little crippled to this day, but he's alive because of that.

It's explicitly not a hero school. They say they're okay with you choosing to be a villain, they just want to make sure you know how to use your powers first.

Teenagers often feel like they need to put on a certain front when they are in school in order to have certain reputation, be perceived a certain way by their peers or hide certain aspects of themselves that could make them seem like an easy target to mess with.
TBH Warren Peace shocking the other characters by being more helpful and nice outside of school hours in an environment where he feels more comfortable would of been good writing if they were intentionally doing it to show character depth. _(But considering how the writers of Disney’s original movies are pretty lazy I seriously doubt it was intentional. It was probably just the writers desperately using whichever character they could to move the plot forward)_

Logically speaking, for a human to fly at high altitude without a pressurized canopy, assisted oxygen device, or specialized flight suit, they’d need to have an absurdly robust internal cardiovascular system, strong autonomic muscles to force blood and air through intense g-forces, and tough skin to withstand air burn.
Basically, anyone flying at high speeds with no apparent need for all that stuff already has an implied degree of super strength.

As soon as I saw the jet/rocket bus accelerate forward and pull a damn 20g loop, I knew those kids would be dead. Not even a fucking G-suit. Just straight-up 20Gs after waking up. The most a person can withstand is like 9gs, and that's only for 30 seconds max. Them shits dead.
Also, how the hell does the bus stay intact? That thing would've fallen apart as soon as it accelerated forward.
