I am 56 years old....I had a horrible math teacher, I mean horrible. He would throw the ruler at us if we did not understand. I grew up hating/afraid of measuring, algebra, etc. I wish I had a teacher like you when I was in school. Thanks so much for this video!!
Just got into electrician school and boy being 20 years old I never learned how to use the ruler like this god bless the internet for having 9 year old videos up like this this really helped out my understanding
OMG!!! Reading ( understanding) a ruler has been a nemesis to me my entire life and has always bothered me that I didn't understand. And from time to time I would google on how to.I am SO glad that you made this video, because I literally feel a great sense of accomplishment today because I now 100% understand! THANK YOU!!
In my 47 years on this planet nobody’s ever explained this to me!! I’m taking a new job at work where I’ll be selling and stocking welding rod so this is very helpful!!
I can't believe measuring is this simple two thumbs up for making life a lot easier for me wit this video. Keep up the good work man, you earned a new subscriber for the helpful content.
This was really helpful!! thank you very much!! I come from another country where the system is decimal. I was embarrassed for not knowing how to measure this way. Thanks a lot . Blessings.

I've gone through college and has become an Auditor and I'm just learning this *laughing* :) ..Your method is very simple and I'm glad I watched because now I finally understand fraction. Thanks much.
you probably dont give a shit but does anybody know a tool to log back into an instagram account?? I stupidly lost the login password. I love any help you can offer me!
very good explanation and it should be very simple way to read a measurement for every when seen this awesome video ,this you very much for post it ,sir.
good, clear, simple explanation, very helpful, thank you --- after professional staffers doing it all, I'm now relegated to doing it myself - I never thought I'd need it after retirement (no, not work, but volunteering.... what was I thinking, eh?) ;)
The best way is to use a tape measure is just use16ths for everything. That way you don't have to calculate fractions. For instance instead of 10 and 1/2 it's 10-8.
All through grade school everything was imperial then halfway through my apprenticeship in the building trades the country (Canada) transitioned to metric. Consequently I can read imperial & metric no problem…but metric is by far easier and more accurate. In my mind I find this demonstration to add confusion.
Naveed Shahzad is a great place to work for and it is a great place to work for and it is a great place to work for and it is a great place to work for and it is a great place to work for and it is a great place to work for and it is

Question: Please could you tell me, How I measure 3,1416 in inches? Thank you!
Wwhat and where is 3.2" on a measuring tape or 6.6" ? How does that work ? How and where do they get the .1 .2 .3 .4.5 and so on ?
On some rulers the inches are divided into 10 increments. (Engineering, I think)
