Title of the video is a little misleading no? 151 Japanese being restocked in December. There’s no word on English 151 being restocked/reprinted correct? There was just info released about the new premium collection in February for English 151.
Nobody said a peep about those new costco tin deals aka "new product" with those starter holo foil's. This got announced and all of a sudden it's a re print? We have been getting steady product pumped through Walmart, best buy, game stop, costco, etc.. Everyone is losing their heads about this new product. It will be swallowed immediately just like every single 151 product, and continue to go up. Will this lower the prices momentarily? Sure. Will it sky rocket back up? Absolutely.
I don’t think this is necessarily a “reprint” But I do think it’s helpful to have some products to look forward to that will help keep prices at least somewhat respectable. If nobody has anything to look forward to it can easily be taken advantage of. This new product that got announced earlier today with 12 151 packs will also help ease the fomo

sets have a reprint window of about 2 years after the initial release and can be reprinted up untill the last minute of that window. on very rare occasions they may even get reprinted after that window. bottom line is dont fomo for a set untill its 2 years old.
Might be interesting to also consider the median value when looking at the potential value of a booster box. If the median value is lower than the average, wouldnt that suggest that you are statistically MORE likely to have an outcome where your booster box value is even lower than the average.
Don’t be fooled. This article does not confirm an English reprint, just the fact that a new product is being created. Most likely this is with left over stock. The fact that they specifically state that there will be a Japanese reprint but avoid the verbiage all together for English makes me believe even stronger that there will not be an English 151 reprint. Obviously every company likes making money, but Pokémon is very strategic on how they make theirs. Think about how easy it would be for them to port the old games to switch, add online battling and a ranking ladder. TAKE MY MONEY. Pokémon forgoes this option, but why? Because they believe it will pull from their new products. With the next special set right around the corner and all the new sets due to be released within the next year (sparks, rocket, trainers) PC will look to push these products onto the surge of new customers, not just have them stuck on 151

I think the possibility of a reprint would be way stronger if Pokemon had no products on the shelves but there are plenty of other sets sitting unpurchased at our local stores. I think PC is trying to generate a ton of hype and then push current and future sets onto buyers instead of keeping them stuck on 151. In my opinion they have done similar things time and time again. I especially think it is very strange that they came out and said there would be a Japanese reprint but did not say that for English. The collecting of sealed products are increasing on a bigger scale. You're correct about the same repeated theories. Lots of these youtubers don't know what they're talking about or doing. Last week they said wait for surging sparks case @579 when it was 600. Maybe you can find them for 650-680 and they'll still tell you to wait.
I usually try and say SV151 to differentiate it from Pokemon 151. Since all the other sets have different names in English compared to their Japanese counterpart, I try to avoid confusion as much as possible.

Pokémon 151 reminds of when I was a kid collecting base cards. I love the memories. I don’t have much from Pokemon 151. I do have mew but my favorite card and I have in a PSA 10 is the master ball eevee. I would say I am happy about my cards from 151. Great set.

@@pickledmeat Dude, Danny is the best. Obviously the Pokebeach info came after this was made. Timing stinks, but Danny always has the best and most informative videos. These videos are not just made and immediately uploaded. This product feels similar to the Crown Zenith Sea and Sky Box at Sam's for the US. Will probably help with pack-prices, and even singles-prices, but long-run shouldn't really impact the set too much. Depends on how much the product will cost, and how heavy distribution will be of it.

A new premium collection with SV151 box during january/february 25 will be interesting. Since it will be trainer pokemon set and the rumoured Rocket set coming out around then. Gonna grab some more at that time. Still got a few PKC etb's, UPC, Alakazam / Zapdos box sealed. I won't mind some more packs/product to keep it sealed.
So when RUclipsrs all are saying it's going to raise and no more reprints they want you to buy into fomo and buy from them and a few weeks - months later pokemon drops another reprint. That's just how it goes. Safer to wait 😅

My guess is restock. Distribution had no news about this product so it honestly wouldn’t surprise me if this was an exclusive product for a big box store. A reprint would imply a product that has already been printed so I’d guess this is more of an overstock of loose packs that they are putting into an exclusive product. Time will tell
