That price is partially based on people getting extras to trade/sell, but primarily scalpers getting as much as they could so they could drive up the price.

Pull rates need to be increased for the actual fun factor of the game/hobby. The massive reductions in the most recent sets are just not that enjoyable….
@@ProfessorButtStuff I buy singles as well when it comes to closing out master sets. However, I can safely say that there’s not much fun in doing that as there is in ripping packs and seeing what ya get. It would never be practical to strictly only open packs

Just started in the hobby and got myself a TWM etb and with it a loose pack as a freebie from the lcs then bam! got the Greninja ex from the loose pack. I guess am gonna keep the etb sealed for now as I don't think anything inside can top the satisfaction of getting the hit card of the set from a loose pack. 😂

Another timely video, Danny. As we have exited the summer break - and slow buying period - and move into the holiday season, I predict more of these cards will be bought for collectors as gifts. I know I will be asking for some of these cards. And happily helping others get the cards they want.
I have a feeling that Twilight Masquerade is going to be the Evolving Skies of the S&V series. It won't get to the same level as ES but I think this is the set that will be the best of the series.

Evolving skies has tons of crazy desirable alt arts; twilight basically only has Greninja, carmine, and eevee, and I think carmine will probably fall over time.

How many boxes you got, pumper? Twilight masquerade has one card everyone wants. No one cares about Carmine or Perrin or Kiren or whoever. They care right now because they have been pumped and are worth money right now, but all those trainers are the most overpriced cards in the era when you look at what they actually are. Just trainers no one even talked about before the set came out. Iono and even Marnie had more hype. Evolving skies has like 12 alt arts that everyone wanted. So get out of here.

You could be wrong also, only time will tell who’s right
If you wnat to make money in pokemon its in the cases, and sitting on cases for 2-3 years. Stay away from ripping open product its a waste of money, also the market is saturated in graded cards its not even worth chasing hitters
2025 is gonna be slapping topshelf! Funny that the bubble Mew blew up while it was kinda average priced earlier. Still like the art work. And still happy with my PhanGogh Pika stash in PSA10 copies. Just a shame they didn't release the Eevee / Snorlax / Sunflora versions too in the same way as the Munch scream serie. For Surging Sparks I'm going for Latias / Latios combo for sure!
