Love this memory of dad and his advice. Great shave! Love the badger brush especially. Great floral beauty from your dear wife. I did a nice Clubman soap SOTD, a scent I used to not like many years ago but takes me back to dad's trips to the barber. Three brothers at the barber with dad and a splash of aftershave on the neck in Miami Springs Florida in the 80's.

Hi Paul, my shave of the day was Tabac Shaving Creme, King C Gillette Safety Razor loaded with a Persona Platinum, Alum Block and Swiss Pitralon Aftershave. This was my first shave without any razor burn in 5 months. Beautiful! Meal of the day was a Döner Kebab in Leipzig, Saxonia😂. Greetings from Germany. And nice shave by the way. Very nice flowers! Yes, it is a traditional soap, very easy to lather, creamy, rich soap, very similar to Trumper’s.
Good morning Paul!!! I gave you the title "the cosy shaver" windy rainy outside and Paul shaving using his cosy gear in his bathroom. I have another one for you. You're the master of simplicity, simple inexpensive products you showcase them telling to all of us in this beautiful hobby not to despise them. I also love them more than the expensive stuff.
I've use last week for 5 consecutive shave Alexander Simpson sandalwood shave cream and in my opinion is one of the best I've ever used.
It's inexpensive and would like to urge you Paul to buy one and use it in one of your SOTD to give a feedback. They have lime and bay rum scents to choose from. Have a lovely Sunday and I'm looking forward to your Wednesday shave. Love you, thanks Mrs H for another legendary display❤❤❤

@@PaulHFilms it's the new version in white tubs, the older ones were in tins, have the latte, good stuff but not as good as the newest formula.

My SOTD was a Rockwell 6S w/ 6 plate and Wizamet blade, Paul H Films 26 mm brush w/ newly acquired Citrine handle (great brush BTW) 👍and Wet the Face Sakura shave soap and splash. Good morning. Lovely flowers Mrs H. Nice basic shave. Once in a while i like just a basic soap. Just that soapy clean scent. My own sotd is the rose gold parker variant. Newly purchased. Paired with a parker blade. And proraso red soap and splash. Lovely scent. And i love the new razor. Have a great Sunday the both of you

Shave of the day Muhle R41 with a Polsilver Blade and the soap was a mixture of MWF Tabec and CK6 soap great lather Also I have another soap mixture of Wickham Cashmare and Arko very deadly lather and unbelievably slick. Very nice video Paul.
Springtime in February! Thank you, Mrs. H. Back-to-basics shaves are enjoyable. My SOTD was Stirling British Leather soap using the Rockwell 6S with a Personna Lab Blue. Post-shave was the usual alum, witch hazel, and balm followed up with the original English Leather aftershave. A safe and pleasant week ahead to you and the boss!

Awesome video man! It's good to be back and watching your videos while enjoying the weekend. I still use the orange PaulHFilms shaving brush in my shave rotation everytime, along with a Rockwell 6C, Proraso sensitive shaving cream tube, and Nivea shave balm. Currently blade hunting but a big fan of gilette perma sharp and rapira platinum. Cheers and enjoy your weekend!

Looking at some of your lather qualities throughout this shave, something to be aware is that for natural hair brushes (badger) one brush may need longer soak time than another brush. I have two of them which I use. I know one can be ready after about 2 or 3 minutes of soaking; but the other needs at least 30 minutes of soaking or else it continues to pull-in any lather, making the lather difficult to build.
Nice basic shave today, Paul. Good idea for tomorrow. But I will use the gray variant, which ist called sensitive with very discreet Aloe Vera smell. But I don' t like the Wilkinson Sword Edger and will use the Gießen & Forsthoff Gentle Shaver CC. Nice flowers from Mrs H. !

MOTD will be Pork steaks, new potatoes, cauliflower and green beans with lashentoes of gravy enjoy your day my friends all the best 👍🏻

Nice shave Paul. The Edgar by Wilkinson sword is a nice razor indeed. Do you have the now discontinued but famous shaving soap by Godrej?
It is, yes I do have the Godrej shaving cream, not soap. Not long used it actually, very nice.
The godrej soap was in production in India for decades till they discontinued in 2020/2021. It was known to be the Wilkinson of India. @@PaulHFilms
I prefer unscented soap, helps avoid a clash with the aftershave. The performance of the soap is what matters most to me. I don't care.if its.a.shave soap, or.regular bar soap, if it provides glide with cushion then its alright by me.
Good choice using unscented soaps.
Hi Paul, the good old Wilkinson Sword shaving soap in the blue bowl is now discontinued since October 2024 here in Germany (due to environmental regulations in the EU). It was actually my first shaving soap, together with the green Palmolive Shaving Cream. There is now a new Wilkinson Sword in a grey bowl for sensitive skin, but I don't like it very much. The scent moved away from the classic barbershop scent and became a very strange mixture of very artificial and plastic scents. Unfortunately, not all things are getting better over time...
That is a great shame it's discontinued over there, a bit like Palmolive soap over here.
I saw this one with the grey bowl selling in superdrug a market shop in Southampton and was wondering if it's a newer version. Thanks for the heads up Frank to avoid buying it. Dankeschön mein Freund. I was born in Frankfurt and when I was 5 returned back to Greece, was speaking fluently German but now I have forgotten a lot.

I had a Gillette Atra shave with Edge canned goo. Had to work early, had no time for a proper shave.
