This cylinder actually won't work because the piston measures 146.05 OD while the cylinder inner diameter measures 139.7 ..... please correct me if I'm wrong ;-)

Hi, Great video, nice drawing,, but the seals on the top and the bottom of the cylinder tube have not their purpose if you draw it like that, you needed seal that will fit in the extruded cut grooves at the top and the bottom of the cylinders, with the same dimension(together with the cylinder tube). So diameters of the seals needs to be same like inside and ouside diameter of the tube, so when you screw the nuts on that four rods, you should squeeze the rubber seals between cap-tube-bottom. Then, you can't make the piston bigger then inside diameter of the tube, its not possible to move it like that. Also at the end, you can't limit the working space of the cylinder by the face of the cylinder, you need to make longer rod, and then limith the movement of the cylinder by the faces on the piston, and inside faces of the cap and bottom of the cylinder. Working movement need to be long like = Tube lenght minus piston width - grooves depths at bottom and cap. Greetings from Bosnia, Keep god work with tut's.
I'm a newbie to Solidworks. Why do you choose the midplane for an extruded boss base? Does this make a difference verses say choosing to extrude in 1 direction only?
