I love my metabo hpt 36v tools they are very powerful contractor grade tools. I don't have a lot with them but from what I've used the triple, hammer drill and recip solid platform way underrated here in the USA.
“Do me a favor and grab my Metabo batteries, they’re the ones that say Mafell on them.” “Do me a favor and grab my Hitachi batteries, they’re the ones that say Metabo on them.”
same same. I think that 'only for use in _____' label is part of territorial sales protections, so retailers can't grey import them on the sly from cheaper markets and then make warranty claims to the local official distributor.
i still dont know why power tools released in us have diff model numbers, names etc, just inconsistent, if someone knows can you plz tell me the reason companies do that
@@cheveresalvi They'll honor your warranty. You just have to ship it all the way back to Japan to get it serviced, and pay for shipping both ways, I'm sure. It's definitely a risk, but 70% of their power tools never get released in the west.
You scared the !*$& out of me. I just ordered a Hikoki tool on eBay 😅 For the record, it seemed feasible - new Makita tools won't work with knock-off batteries, and actually a knock off Makita tool recently wouldn't work with a new Makita battery. Star Protection tech getting smarter?
Hey Philly, it would be cool to see you make a video in getting the 40v Makita to run on a Metabo power cord adapter by using a battery adapter. 👍 Will she work?
Does this mean that Metabo has gone up in quality or that Hikoki has gone down in quality. I have Hikoki tools which I have been extremely pleased with and have considered buying a Hikoki battery table saw as my 5 year old Metabo has been nothing but a disappointment ever since I got it, good ideas terrible execution, combined with some major design flaws as well. Compared the Hikoki saw with a DeWalt at the shop and the DeWalt just gave a better impression regarding build quality, does anyone have any experiences with both saws?
Hi mate. I'm a new sub to your channel. Thanks for the good works. My interest to check out tool's kits is to get the best out of the rest. at the store the sales men just want to sell tools. Here are my questions: which brand is superior with great battery and work efficiently?. Which way is best to go between cordless and cords? Thank you
Metabo (no HPT) in Europe is different from Metabo HPT in USA and Hikoki in rest of the world, Matabo use the CAS battery system not the same as used in Hikoki and Matabo HPT.
But will the HiKOKI 36V AC/DC Power Adapter work, 🤔 but for real that's good to know. I got told by Hikoki rep the Plunge saw n track will drop N.Z around Xmas. 🤣😂 so funny bro. Chillaxe! 👍🏾🎅🏾🤙🏾🔔💚"s🔔
That’s not a conundrum. Whether to stick with Hitachi or go with Hikoki and Metabo HPT is a better example of a conundrum. Conundrums tend to result in open solution spaces whereby decisions made can influence a cascade of many multiple outcomes; the choice you make when solving a conundrum tries to best capture the desired outcome. Whether conundrums are solved adequately tends to involve hindsight and deliberation, not the closed yes or no solution space you have demonstrated.
That's because you didn't buy a Metabo HPT, or an Hikoki. You bought a Metabo and need to watch this video ruclips.net/video/qiNGJgtiNcU/видео.htmlsi=q7LT_BCWk8Tn4c8C

Excited to see your Metabo HPT/Hikoki tools pile growing up! Can we expect a review of that sweet 36v trimmer?
You bloody had me going you cheeky bugger😅

Cheers mate that’s awesome cause I’m in Aus with hikoki gear and I really want the Metabo hpt rear handle circ saw and had the same conundrum.
In like hikoki and metabo, didn’t knew that. Awesome 😃
any chance of a comparison between the 36v 185mm and 165mm hikoki circular saws, ive got the 165mm and was wondering if there is much difference
Thanks bro! From NZ
My guess it is the mains voltage on the battery chargers, but that does not count if it is a tool only package. Or would it be for warranty reasons?
Warranty reasons for sure.
That and to stop you getting better prices overseas 🤣

You used the wrong battery Jim. 🤔🖖🏾

@@paedahe4975 Hmm. I haven't even seen a Metabo HPT battery adapter, I'll have to go look for one!
That's because they don't exist.
@@BuildsStuff I found one...can’t post a link on YT.
I’m in the uk, will the 3amp hitachi batteries and the 3amp hikoki work on the metabo hpt tools

What website do you use to get the metabo tools ?
Man please compares w/ Makita 18V, 40V 6 1/2" and Hikoki 36V 6 1/2". Thanks
😮I am also in NZ. USE METABO HPT tools with Hikoki BATTER ~
does it work with metabo germany?
No
I panicked and nearly cancelled my order. Glad I kept watching 😂

Standard or Metric electricity lol
Good question Howie Z. 😆
Same with AEG and Rigid Orange

If I was starting out now I would go with Makita 40v.
@@BuildsStuff thanks mate. Makita for impacts drive too?
Makita make the best in my opinion, but the 40v ones are quite heavy compared to the 18v due to the larger battery.
you got me there

Yes I probably should have also addressed that in this video. Although I have talked about it multiple times in other videos. Thanks for watching.

ma man 😇
Hikoki vs Metabo
Thumbs up if you think tool companies should run the world government instead of the current chowderheads
You made me panic

I just got the grease gun, and its NOT the same battery!
