Yes! Its a pain in the ass .. make sure the twist in the middle is really centered.. I realize if its not perfectly centered and its a little shift its a bitch to open
Someone with a science degree can fill in my gaps or fact check me. But essentially what’s happening is the cup and lid are forming somewhat of a vacuum. The cold inside mixed with the warmer outside is causing the cup to create a vacuum effect. It tightened itself up. I’ve noticed this happening to me much more in the humidity of the summertime. It hasn’t been happening anymore now, nor did it happen in the past.
I cant wait to try this when I get home. I bought all the lil accessories, bells and whistles, etc for my cup and wanted to take my girl out on the town with me. However, lo and behold, I couldn’t get my top off. I tried everything and also had like 3 other people try to open it. I had to go out in the 90 degree weather empty-handed. For a damn near $50 cup?? I was fuming to say the least. 😡😡😡
These cups are too damn expensive to be life this 😒

I used hot water, because heat separates molecules
i ran it under hot water and it helped a lot

OMG.. I think it’s just this color. I have the same problem and my lid was not ever that tight.
Definitely don’t grab the handle . I’ve seen them snap off.

I let it sit in the dishwater overnight and then it came right off the next morning

No. Just the dishwater. Not washer. Basically soaked it
