    I'm so glad I watched this video! I have used and looked at so many language arts programs but couldn't find one that would fit my dyslexic, adhd student.. I was piecing together so many books to try and get what we needed out of the curriculum. I'm definitely ordering their grammar, writing and spelling program. It looks like just what we need!!

    Thank you for sharing that not all curriculum will work for multiple kids. We've gone through 3 math curriculums and the 3rd one has been the best overall. I definitely want to look into that Grammer curriculum once my son starts getting into that more.

    This is a good comparison of the programs. It is great you can be flexible in curriculum choices. Awesome!!

    Thank you for this. I have been looking into this program but was worried about this, we are using Christian Light and used to repition and spiral type of material. I do want to continue to see what else is out there but glad to come across this review before I purchased.

    Winning with With Writing looks so interesting. I love it when we understand that what used to work before may no longer work in the present time so glad you exercised wisdom to make the necessary changes in your homeschool.

    We've been with MFW for seven years. We ditched MFW LA back in 2nd grade. 👍 I could see it wasn't going to be a good fit for us.

      We love MFW! It is so important to know when to stop using a curriculum that does not work.

    Wow! That would be a little frustrating to have so much time between each concept but then relate back to it? Great comparison.

    Looked like a smart switch. The writing curriculum you switched to was like how I learned it in school and it made sense. Writing seems much easier when organized.
    I'm trying to pick out stuff for my ADHD kids.
    How did your year go? Happy with the switch?

    Aw shucks sorry it didn’t work out for your I’m doing MFW K this year.. I’m worried that this may be us too.. /: do you still use MFW such as their bible or science?

    • @RussellsLovingLife
      @RussellsLovingLife  3 года назад

      Yes, I still use MFW for Bible, Science, and History. I love MFW Curriculum. You will not have to worry about the Language Arts until 2nd grade. 😊 This fall will be my 8th year using MFW.

    • @RussellsLovingLife
      @RussellsLovingLife  3 года назад

      I will have a 2nd grader this year and I will be using Growing with Grammar, Soaring with Spelling, and Winning with Writing. I will do videos on them later this year. I used Growing with Grammar Level 1 with my 1st grader last year. Here are those videos if you are interested. ruclips.net/video/-ccbwpV18BU/видео.html

    I was planning to use grade 2 alongside another program. Does it review in the next levels?

    • @RussellsLovingLife
      @RussellsLovingLife  3 года назад +1

      I would not call it a review. It goes over information very briefly.

      @@RussellsLovingLife ok thank you. I had First language lessons but the repetition was excessive. And this isn't enough. Lol. I need a in-between. 😊

    Wow! Thank you for this review. This is exactly what I was looking for. I agree with you that the gentle approach of MFW language arts is not enough exposure. I needed more for my son’s learning style as well. 🩵

    I just want to mention that in this comparison you are comparing my fathers world writing level A meant for 4th graders to writing essays which is more on a middle school level. I don’t know what grades your children are in but I do know that I do not expect a 4th grader to be writing 5-7 paragraphs by the end of the week.

    • @RussellsLovingLife
      @RussellsLovingLife  Год назад

      Thanks for the comment. I do not expect my child to do that either, but I expect them to be able to write a paragraph. My oldest will be a 10 grader and my youngest will be in 4th. In 3rd grade, she was taught the fundamentals to write a paragraph and in 4th she will start learning the fundamentals to write an essay. So by the time she is in middle school she will have a strong foundation of knowledge on how to organize her thoughts and facts for write an essay.
