I was playing a video game when the full version of Cyberpunk Dead Boy was released, and when I heard Tsukasa’s growl in the bridge, I paused my game rewinded because I was shookith by that part! Tsukasa is my favorite character alongside An. I’m doing to be devastated if he doesn’t get a Cyberpunk Dead Boy alt as well!
I actually set an alarm and woke up in the middle of the night so I'd be awake for its drop (4:30 AM for leaks, 5 AM for official release). It was a wild experience.
Watching the entirety of this video is the kind of thing which just makes me love Project Sekai all over again... this many songs, without even accounting the vs only ones is crazy Some of my favorite songs were quite low, some high, I was just happy to hear them once more Also, I know it's not the first year you've done this, but I really love the idea of using your favorite alts. It made me discover some of them I wasn't aware were THAT GOOD ?? My next Shiho cover card is definitely going towards Bokura Made Underground... Also hoping for a Tsukasa alt on Cyberpunk Dead Boy, I share the sentiment towards his performance here 🙏

Mind brand enjoyer here too! 🤚 I've always read it as a song centered on fear/trauma with the angry parts being the setting, so I thought the way niigo covered it was pretty alright, though yes I understand the frustration over it.
for me it started out as ok but the more i listened the more i disliked it. I didnt need them scream singing but they all needed more emotion in their voices, i also didnt like the instrumental. It took out a lot of the more rock/metal elements from the OG. IMO it should have gone to vbs and Niigo should have gotten another Maretu song. (Even Though I Loved You i can see being a good cover for them, the vocals are softer on that one. Maybe as a KanaMafu or KanaEna duet?)
Cyberpunk dead boy is hands down the best song in the game for me. When wxs is at their peak, they’re honestly unstoppable. I actually prefer Goodbye Declaration to Ego Rock (though they’re both 2 and 3 lol). Personally I think the emotion they put into it is amazing. I’m curious as to why you’re not a huge fan of the full group version? A lot of ppl find emu’s high note to be grating, which I understand lol, but I love that song wayyyyy too much lol. Also, great video! I haven’t seen your other ones but I’ll definitely be back next year! ❤

I like Kisaragi Attention but the pitch change was weird at first and no IA version to choose on the VS side disappoints me since I knew this song on IA’s voice.
No IA is a choice on Jin’s part. From what I understand (don’t take me as an authority on the subject, I’m just repeating what I’ve heard) 1st Place (IA’s company) really screwed Jin over licensing wise when it came to KagePro songs. It’s very likely any KagePro songs added going forward will be rearranges not featuring her. Kinda sad in the case of a potential addition of Outer Science since I really like how IA sounds on it, but that’s not a problem for Additional Memory. These rearranges are kinda like the Taylor’s Versions of KagePro if the way I understand it is correct. If anyone sees this that has a better grasp of the situation, feel free to elaborate or even correct me if necessary.

Yeah as someone that’s a Vocaloid fan first and a Sekai fan second I thought it’d be a fun bonus thing to tack on at the end. We’re at a point where there’s enough winners for a Top 10 to be interesting. I’ll probably keep doing this segment as long as I do these video too- it’s a shame Parry just barely didn’t make the cutoff.
a lot a lot of my fav songs may have placed low (i will personally remove the cutlery sounds from cutlery for you to place it higher) but im glad a lot of my favs also got in the top 100!!! also very very happy to see kagepro songs up there and SLOW DOWNER TOP 50 im looking forward to the viewer ranking!!! If it makes you feel any better it used to be super high up. I just really hate how they made Miku sound on it (not a problem with other IchiMiku duets) and as it sets in that we’re never getting an Ichika alt I’m just disappointed in it. So close to having something really good, but it’s locked in a vault and it’ll probably never see the light of day.
Lag Train being dead last is so valid but also hurts... I hope Mizuki gets a solo for it because it has the potential to be so so good... Cyberpunk Dead Boy being number one is extremely valid though, it instantly became my favourite WxS com on release and is one of the songs I'm most looking forward to coming to the global server! These videos are always so interesting to share, thanks for continuing to make them! I always love hearing other people's thoughts on the game and you're always so positive! With how much diversity and numbers of songs there are, unironically its probably impossible for anyone to agree with a specific ranking, BUT This was pretty damn great, and I’m so happy the overrated vocaloid songs weren’t so damn high in the ranks! I personally would’ve put Deep Sea Girl and Tengaku in Top 2 since those two are my most favorite vocaloid songs in general lol

Yeah if I made them any shorter they’d go by waaaay too fast. The sub Top 50 are at the absolute shortest they can be and it’s still like this. To think 5th anniversary will probably have like 350-something songs… It’s already taking me out just thinking of the render time (this took a little over an hour to render).
I totally agree that iyowas songs are good. I’ve never heard of their songs until project SEKAI and tbh I’m glad I found their music. I do like heat abnormal because of the N25 cover. But ever since then I’ve been listening to their songs on Spotify!! ❤️
Yeah I was aware of Iyowa before their stuff was being added to Sekai, but I wasn’t an active fan until after. Not because I didn’t like what I knew, I just never got around to checking out more than what I knew. Sekai forced me to broaden my horizons and I’m thankful for that.

The lowered pitched edit someone sent to me actually was really good. In its current state their voices are too grating for me. Had they been allowed to not strain their voices by staying within their comfortable register I actually think it would have been my favorite EmuNene cover. The most common complaints I’ve seen of QUEEN are that “Emu is bad” and I’d actually disagree because I think lower pitch Emu would have been great on it. As is it’s just kinda painful missed opportunity imo.
@@MarceCloud39 And considering the complaints about Meiko’s inclusion, she sounds nice on the cover and Nene sounds good considering the final result. Also the song itself is catchy as hell and echoes in my head all the time, I love it.

Heat Abnormal in top 35 (oops mistake at first) and the absolute god tier Empurple in top 5. As they should be. I didn't think Engeki would be topped for me personally but holy shit it was. By those two but also by Regulus Yes the Mafuyu bias is real And yeah An's Gekokujou is so fucking good and that's not just personal bias because of how important the song and event are to me Can't believe both the top and bottom songs got dethroned this year. Yeah Sekai has had such a turbulent yeah that both bottom and top songs getting dethroned honestly just makes sense in a way. It was a really "it's so over" "we're so back" graph of a year in many regards. Also Mafuyu bias is so real. Lately I've been realizing some of my favorite line reads are from her and I'm reevaluating how high she should be in my rankings of character vocals
Mafuyu has a lot of misses, and the misses are BIG misses, but damn when Mafuyu hits, we get things like Aishite, Aishite, Aishite and USSEEWA and Slow Downer and Kokoronashi which is literally only held up by Mafuyu and Kanade because I don't know what the hell they did with Len and I'm still begging for a Mafuyu alt that we probably won't get sadly Rui Tanabe can put so much emotion into Mafuyu's voice it amazes me
Yes USSEEWA and Slow Downer in particular! There's also short lines I really love in Samsa and the "Administraitor" line in Bug is great as well. Those are all what have been converting me into a big fan of Mafuyu's voice. Kokoronashi likely going altless is such a crime. It's like Dappo Rock 2 for me, but even worse: Len is there and ruining it when the human singers are delivering good performances that we don't get alts of.
That’s a VS only song that was commissioned for the game. The main rankings are only the comms featuring the human cast and the bonus rankings are only the ProSeka NEXT winners. Tokugawa is in a weird position being so Vocaloid heavy, but Nenerobo just being Nene’s voice put through a filter of some kind makes it count enough. A quick ranking of comm’d VS Only boss songs: 1. Actually you know what, despite ranking it low, I kinda agree. I think it's really weird we got Tokyo Teddy Bear alts for Saki and Shiho before alts for Aioi (and more likely Tengaku for Shiho). It makes me think Aioi just isn't going to get alts which is kind of a shame.
i used to dislike rui's alts so much, istg he sounded so dead and bland to me, i felt like the rest of the groups voices really helped his voice sound better, i listened to his KING alt and it sounded so elegant, changed my view on his alts
Better than the first batch honestly. As someone with heavy Haruka bias I believe putting her on Devil's Manner was truly an inspired choice. My only real complaint with any of them is that Kanade wasn't great on Setsuna Trip because it was just a weird song for her character voice (her VA out of character would probably do a great job). If they do unit swap again I do hope Akito and Emu get to leave their original groups though. I at least understand why it's harder to get Ichika to when keeping one of each original vocalist on every track.
Both are covers that had vocal performances that missed the mark for me. One is just one singer sounding extremely out of breath and therefore bad but because it’s a song I love I’m very mad they didn’t do another take. The other is an instance where if they had lowered the pitch of the song to avoid straining the VA’s voices I genuinely believe it would have been amazing- so that also makes me really mad they didn’t do that (high scoring song last year Non-breath oblige is pitched down, it’s not like they’ve never done it before). The fact that both actively anger me is why they’re at the bottom even if they might not be the objective worst in the game. There’s also another new song in the bottom 10 because I just think they missed the tone entirely- and that’s not a song you want to mess up the tone of imo. The good news is there’s also a lot of new songs in the Top 150 and higher so it wasn’t all bad this year, I promise! I say Top 150 and higher only because I think that’s the least spoilery way to go about saying things are good. Don’t wanna give away too much yet.

Yeah if it were MinoShizu only it'd probably be much higher. I don't think it's bad otherwise. I like Shizuku on in particular so that one major flaw for me is kind of a bummer. If that's not a flaw for you that's great, honestly.
The barrage of full group covers were too much to the point that I lost interest on any new covers for quite a while. Especially with MMJ! along with the bait and switch of the Minori5 event was just rubbing salt in the wound. At least the comms are getting better. And the charting of the songs in general are so much fun to play.
Yeah like in theory full group covers are fine, but too much of anything makes it become dull, uninteresting, and sometimes even annoying. I liked how Mozaik Role turned out, but I bet it would have been better if it were IchiShiho + a VS. The song actually lends itself better to being divided into 3 singers than 5 so the choice to make it 5 is kind of obnoxious and forced. It’s so funny to me how MMJ’s ONLY duo song on Album 3 is one I wanted to be full group though. Like it’s literally on my wishlist video as full group + MEIKO and we got the exact opposite of that. However, I am somehow thankful because any duo MMJ song is a blessing at this point.

Yeah I still very much like it, I just think it’s be even better with only 3 singers on it. The Shiho ending great! It’s such a shame that it took them so long to get around to it that they opted for Reloaded though. Had they prioritized the Hall of Myths songs like I honestly think they should have, we would have gotten the original. I like Reloaded, but I feel so bad for GUMI and her fans not getting her big hit in the game.
Niigo has the highest average rank of 125 while WxS have the lowest average at 159. This was shocking to me given those very bottom Niigo songs and given how high certain WxS songs are. I guess neither heavily weigh on their averages. Niigo is a group I consider to have some of the highest highs, but when they miss they REALLY miss. (The averages for L/n and MMJ are both 146, VBS is 144 btw)

Yeah if I made them any shorter they’d go by waaaay too fast. The sub Top 50 are at the absolute shortest they can be and it’s still like this. To think 5th anniversary will probably have like 350-something songs… It’s already taking me out just thinking of the render time (this took a little over an hour to render).

I totally agree that iyowas songs are good. I’ve never heard of their songs until project SEKAI and tbh I’m glad I found their music. I do like heat abnormal because of the N25 cover. But ever since then I’ve been listening to their songs on Spotify!! ❤️
Yeah I was aware of Iyowa before their stuff was being added to Sekai, but I wasn’t an active fan until after. Not because I didn’t like what I knew, I just never got around to checking out more than what I knew. Sekai forced me to broaden my horizons and I’m thankful for that.

The lowered pitched edit someone sent to me actually was really good. In its current state their voices are too grating for me. Had they been allowed to not strain their voices by staying within their comfortable register I actually think it would have been my favorite EmuNene cover. The most common complaints I’ve seen of QUEEN are that “Emu is bad” and I’d actually disagree because I think lower pitch Emu would have been great on it. As is it’s just kinda painful missed opportunity imo.
@@MarceCloud39 And considering the complaints about Meiko’s inclusion, she sounds nice on the cover and Nene sounds good considering the final result. Also the song itself is catchy as hell and echoes in my head all the time, I love it.

Yeah Sekai has had such a turbulent yeah that both bottom and top songs getting dethroned honestly just makes sense in a way. It was a really "it's so over" "we're so back" graph of a year in many regards.
Also Mafuyu bias is so real. Lately I've been realizing some of my favorite line reads are from her and I'm reevaluating how high she should be in my rankings of character vocals
Mafuyu has a lot of misses, and the misses are BIG misses, but damn when Mafuyu hits, we get things like Aishite, Aishite, Aishite and USSEEWA and Slow Downer and Kokoronashi which is literally only held up by Mafuyu and Kanade because I don't know what the hell they did with Len and I'm still begging for a Mafuyu alt that we probably won't get sadly
Rui Tanabe can put so much emotion into Mafuyu's voice it amazes me
Yes USSEEWA and Slow Downer in particular! There's also short lines I really love in Samsa and the "Administraitor" line in Bug is great as well. Those are all what have been converting me into a big fan of Mafuyu's voice.
Kokoronashi likely going altless is such a crime. It's like Dappo Rock 2 for me, but even worse: Len is there and ruining it when the human singers are delivering good performances that we don't get alts of.

That’s a VS only song that was commissioned for the game. The main rankings are only the comms featuring the human cast and the bonus rankings are only the ProSeka NEXT winners. Tokugawa is in a weird position being so Vocaloid heavy, but Nenerobo just being Nene’s voice put through a filter of some kind makes it count enough.

Actually you know what, despite ranking it low, I kinda agree. I think it's really weird we got Tokyo Teddy Bear alts for Saki and Shiho before alts for Aioi (and more likely Tengaku for Shiho). It makes me think Aioi just isn't going to get alts which is kind of a shame.

i used to dislike rui's alts so much, istg he sounded so dead and bland to me, i felt like the rest of the groups voices really helped his voice sound better, i listened to his KING alt and it sounded so elegant, changed my view on his alts

Better than the first batch honestly. As someone with heavy Haruka bias I believe putting her on Devil's Manner was truly an inspired choice. My only real complaint with any of them is that Kanade wasn't great on Setsuna Trip because it was just a weird song for her character voice (her VA out of character would probably do a great job).
If they do unit swap again I do hope Akito and Emu get to leave their original groups though. I at least understand why it's harder to get Ichika to when keeping one of each original vocalist on every track.

"the two new bottom songs" part makes me nervous bcs i don't think any song this year was really that bad 😭
Both are covers that had vocal performances that missed the mark for me. One is just one singer sounding extremely out of breath and therefore bad but because it’s a song I love I’m very mad they didn’t do another take. The other is an instance where if they had lowered the pitch of the song to avoid straining the VA’s voices I genuinely believe it would have been amazing- so that also makes me really mad they didn’t do that (high scoring song last year Non-breath oblige is pitched down, it’s not like they’ve never done it before). The fact that both actively anger me is why they’re at the bottom even if they might not be the objective worst in the game.
There’s also another new song in the bottom 10 because I just think they missed the tone entirely- and that’s not a song you want to mess up the tone of imo.
The good news is there’s also a lot of new songs in the Top 150 and higher so it wasn’t all bad this year, I promise! I say Top 150 and higher only because I think that’s the least spoilery way to go about saying things are good. Don’t wanna give away too much yet.

Yeah if it were MinoShizu only it'd probably be much higher. I don't think it's bad otherwise. I like Shizuku on in particular so that one major flaw for me is kind of a bummer. If that's not a flaw for you that's great, honestly.

The barrage of full group covers were too much to the point that I lost interest on any new covers for quite a while. Especially with MMJ! along with the bait and switch of the Minori5 event was just rubbing salt in the wound. At least the comms are getting better. And the charting of the songs in general are so much fun to play.
Yeah like in theory full group covers are fine, but too much of anything makes it become dull, uninteresting, and sometimes even annoying. I liked how Mozaik Role turned out, but I bet it would have been better if it were IchiShiho + a VS. The song actually lends itself better to being divided into 3 singers than 5 so the choice to make it 5 is kind of obnoxious and forced.
It’s so funny to me how MMJ’s ONLY duo song on Album 3 is one I wanted to be full group though. Like it’s literally on my wishlist video as full group + MEIKO and we got the exact opposite of that. However, I am somehow thankful because any duo MMJ song is a blessing at this point.

It’s such a shame that it took them so long to get around to it that they opted for Reloaded though. Had they prioritized the Hall of Myths songs like I honestly think they should have, we would have gotten the original. I like Reloaded, but I feel so bad for GUMI and her fans not getting her big hit in the game.
Not finished with the video yet but my jaw dropped multiple times seeing so many niigo songs at the bottom...
Niigo has the highest average rank of 125 while WxS have the lowest average at 159. This was shocking to me given those very bottom Niigo songs and given how high certain WxS songs are. I guess neither heavily weigh on their averages. Niigo is a group I consider to have some of the highest highs, but when they miss they REALLY miss.
(The averages for L/n and MMJ are both 146, VBS is 144 btw)
