  • This is a "bonus" video for those of you who have asked for how I do this. I thought beginners would appreciate the demo. I hope this helps you.

"Then you just decide to be happy anyway. They will still give someone a really warm hug." I'm a beginner and have been feeling terrible about all of the imperfections in the first quilt I want to give as a gift. I so needed to hear this! You are the best teacher. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Am only a novice at this and I am afraid to square up a wall hanging I've just made. I will do it, I will, and I'll be happy with the result, as you said. And I'll do better next time. ❤👍from Somerset UK

Short and sweet! Warm hugs are always good, even if they are crooked. :)

You are such a square! In the best way. And bobbles are very common in my life. Thanks for such clear helpful videos. 👏

I have several “unsquare” quilts in my past. I like to blame the longarmer for stretching the corners 😆😆😆

You and me both! Except that NOW - I'm my own longarmer!! Oppsie.

A beginner which way to cut your squares, salvage to salvage or other way round. Does it make the whole patch floppy or have ears from side.
    Struggling a lot.

As long as you don't cut your fabric on the bias you should be fine. I usually cut my squares selvage to selvage first, and then do the next cut. They eventually get cut both ways and it doesn't really matter which way you cut first. (I hope I understood your question.)

    Isn't this patchwork not quilting?

Where you live might change what you call it. It is quilting... because it is quilted.
