    An amazing and motivating turnaround from Shi Yu Qi since his near career-ending injury in 2019. Very inspirational. All the best in the Olympics!!!

    really enjoying the french open broadcast overall. One of the best thing is the conversations in intervals, coaches advice. This should definitely be the norm / more and more !

      @@_WorldPeaceWhich time point do you want to listen to the coach's words?

    • @Peng814
      @Peng814 8 месяцев назад +7

      @@_WorldPeace During the mid-game interval of the first game, the coach said to Shi Yuqi: "You're playing pretty well. The main point is about playing clear shots (high and deep shots). Look at the shots he's sending to your overhead area, they're mostly to the mid-court. Take your chances to strike when you have them; if not, keep playing the clears, and then take your chance to strike again. Don't worry about the two smashes you sent to him after your pushes and lifts; because you're playing with the wind, you might be concerned about sending it out of bounds. It's normal to play a mid-court shot and then get outplayed twice. Keep the pushes and lifts normal; as long as you move up, you'll see that your shots are quite accurate, and those are good shots. Maintain this rhythm."
      Between the first and second games, the coach said to Shi Yuqi: "...and then, at the moment I should change pace, I change pace. When it's time to score, I score, right? Scoring for me means seizing the net, waiting for him to push or lift, and then hitting the second stroke. Pay attention to the coherence. Then, manage your physical energy reasonably."
      The conversation between the coach and Shi Yuqi during the mid-game interval of the second game is not provided, but it generally goes like this. My English is not great, so I hope this translation helps you understand.
