This is fantastic. I highly recommend the Dreadbox Chromatic series for anyone getting into Eurorack modular. They are not expensive and they are all well designed and very useful.
Outstanding. I was standing in front of my freshly fully unpatched rack, looking at Utopia and trying to imagine something to do with it. this was very inspirational!
I really liked this video. I hope you will make more clever patch videos and explanations. They are the best kind of modular videos to watch and learn from.
That's so very impressive! I wonder, did you get to this patch by randomly experimenting or did you have an idea in mind and thought it through until you managed to realize it? Amazing work regardless! :D
Just bought my first couple of Eurorack modules, was researching Utopia. Your creative use of it has alerted me to more of what it can do than Dreadbox’s own rather dry presentation. Would love to see what you could do with other modules from that range. Great work :)
i dont mean to be so offtopic but does any of you know a trick to get back into an instagram account..? I was dumb forgot the account password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me.
@Steven Travis Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
really brilliant patch!! explained super clearly & thoroughly so that even a newbie like me can actually grapple with it. thanks so much for that. & I know it's been a while, but... I sure hope you decide to make more vids here, 'cause... you are especially good at it.
This is great, and so helpful. I'm just starting out with modular, and I have this module, but it's taking me a bit to get my head round it. This has shown me a whole other way of using it I'd never have thought of on my own, so thank you for sharing this. I haven't come across your channel before, so I've subscribed and I'm off to have a look around.
Great and creative way of using this module! Mine is currently not in my skiff but as soon as I get a larger case I will be trying this patch out for sure.
Nice one! I do similar self patches with Utopia too. Love the module, but the pots are definitely too difficult to reach and control once you patch ins and outs.
This is a great tutorial. Total Newbie here. I'm wondering if you might be able to show how you could do this with the minibrute 2s? I'm just confused as to what to send from the minibrute and then where to route it back in. It's the one missing piece of the tutorial here for me. Just learning the ins and outs of the ins and outs so to speak :) Cheers from Canada!
This is great, although you didn't need to use up channel 3 to stop channel 1 from entering the mix. You could have just put a dummy cable in with one side connected to nothing and it should work the same
I was probably gonna buy it anyways. I mean, LFO, offset, attv. mixer, AND multiples all for $99??? and then I saw this video and was blown away. I might even buy two?? 😳

Best Utopia demo by far.
oooohhhhh
I don't have any of the Dreadbox modules yet, but I like this a lot. This is probably the most cost-effective arpeggiator around.

agreed
really love this, hope you make similar patch vids! yeaaaaaaaahhhhh!
Great patch and video. Thanks!
Beautiful thank you

Really useful video. Bummer you did not continue with more demos and some of your compositions.

Cool patch idea! I really like how you use the pressure sensitive keys to modulate the lfo!
Very ingenious way of utilizing this Module!💡🎵💥🙉🤙
Good demo of an interesting module.

Very clever! I love following your thought process. Plus, it sounds cool.
That's incredibly rad, thanks! I literally just bought this module, even more excited now.

And I already thought this seemed like a cool module with lots of features, only to find it does even more...
Genius!
Nice stuff, what other hardware you got? Im dreaming of TR-8S and/or OP-1, but thats just dreamz... [i liv in rasha help mi]
Other than what you can see or is mentioned in this video: I have a Neutron, and I use a zoom H5 for recording stuff. That's about it at the moment!
So cool! What patch cables are those?
Thank you! They're tendrils cables, suuuuuper satisfying to route and organise things with!

I known you what I will be doing to my orange guy tomorrow! 👽👽
can safely say I would never have come up with this on my own. What inspired you to make it?
